Anger management - Ashla Marr - 07-29-2017 Ashla found Jaden after venturing off from her Master. "Hey, I was wondering if I might talk to you somewhere in private." She knew that she could find an empty room in the temple. RE: Anger management - Jaden_Starchaser - 07-29-2017 As Ashla was walking up to Jaden he was typing out a message on his datapad. He hit the send button and looked up upon hearing what she said. "Sure," he said to her. "Lead the way." RE: Anger management - Ashla Marr - 07-29-2017 Ashla lead Jaden to an empty room inside the temple and sat down on the floor. She motioned for Jaden to sit next to her as she took a moment to gather her thoughts. "When you told me that Tarkin ordered that Jedi Master to Mind trick Todd, I thought about spacing him out of the air lock. But then I took a moment and thought, what if he told you this to get you to react. Of course, am assuming you got this information from Tarkin. Sometimes it's best not to let emotions get to you in the moment. While you didn't strike him down, you were at the ready to." RE: Anger management - Jaden_Starchaser - 07-29-2017 Jaden sat next to her and closed his eyes as he remembered the events that happened. "It's not that I was going to strike him down," he began saying. "Rather I gripped the hilt of my saber to steady myself before I did much worse things." He unclipped his right saber and gently took her hand so she can trace the writing on the hilt. It said 'Strong men stand for others'. RE: Anger management - Ashla Marr - 07-29-2017 Ashla glanced at the writings on the hilt. She drew in a deep breath as her eyes gazed in to his eyes. For a moment, she was lost in the moment of his eyes. She blushed and took a step back as she spoke in with a horsed voice, "did you hear what he told Unna," she said softly clearing her voice. "He said that she was easy to provoke," she finely corrected her voice as she continued. "He proved how easy you were to provoke as well. Did you see what he did with Ni?" Unable to control the blush on her face, she turned so to hide her face as she continued to speak. "He read each of us. He knew how to get us to react to him in ways he wanted. His actions exposed a weakness of our entire group." She turned back to face him, the blush no longer covering her cheeks. Her voice was once more under her control and steady, "Do you think that Jenna, Frija or Graff would not take advantage of such a weakness." RE: Anger management - Jaden_Starchaser - 07-29-2017 Jaden didn't notice the blush that was on Ashla's face due to him contemplating her words and the truth behind them. "You're right," he said to her. "He was able to show how easily provoked Unna and I am. How members of the group do not show Ni the respect that she deserves. I am working on fixing those issues in me, but Ashla please believe me when I say that if I wanted Tarkin dead I would have done much worse than strike him down with my blade." He closed his eyes as he was about to reveal something to her that he has hidden from the group besides his brother. "When I was on Olivan I heard the call to the Dark Side. It spoke to me like a mother would to her child. It encouraged me to strike Duke Saar down in anger for him using Duncan as a battering ram and then trying to break Trysta in half over a cannon. It's voice warped until it was malevolent and cruel the more I resisted. "I felt the darkness swirling around Unna as she used the Force to inflict pain on him so he can drop the toy. It was trying to call to me too. I had to grip my saber to remind myself of my father's words to me. 'A strong man stands for himself. A stronger man stands for others.' He told me that means to use my strength to help others, not for my own gain. If I used my powers and my strength to torture or make him pay to avenge Tod that would be a misuse of them and would dishonor Tod. I can't do that and I most definitely refuse to give Graff, Jenna, or Frija an advantage over me." RE: Anger management - Ashla Marr - 07-30-2017 Ashla listened and nodded in agreement. "He tactically made some of us look like children. I think I need to work on some of these issues as well." She knew she could have responded quicker than she did. A soft smile crossed her face. "I believe you Jaden. I'm proud of you. You were able to keep a level head and not give Tarkin the reaction he was looking for from you." She paused so he could continue speaking. She gathered her thoughts once he was finished speaking. "I saw the darkness swirl around Unna as well. Maybe I should have a chat with her as well about controlling emotions. I don't want to lose any of you to the dark side," she softly spoke. "I think those are wise words your father gave you. You're right though," she said agreeing with Jaden's words. RE: Anger management - Jaden_Starchaser - 07-31-2017 "My father is very wise, but can also be a bit of a goof sometimes," Jaden said with a smile on his face as he remembered some instances of that. Jaden's wrist comm went at that moment with a female robotic voice saying, "Call from Yang." Jaden blinked and looked at Ashla apologetically. "Sorry let me take this real quick," he said to her and answered the line. "Hey man Yin here." A masculine voice spoke through the speakers, "Hey man be at the usual joint at 2200 if you want to get in on this gig or don't tell me all that fighting has robbed you of your talent." Jaden smirked and shook his head, "No man I could be hooked up to a machine for the rest of my life and I'd still be more talented than you." He eyed Ashla for a second and then said, "I might be bringing some friends so have D save a hot spot for them." "Yeah yeah asshat. I'll tell him to save the best in the house. See you later," the other voice said before disconnecting. RE: Anger management - Ashla Marr - 07-31-2017 Alsha couldn't help but over hear the conversation taking place. She tilted her head curiously, wondering what Jaden was up to. "What was that about? If you don't mind me asking," she said, curious about the conversation that just occurred over Jaden's com. RE: Anger management - Jaden_Starchaser - 07-31-2017 "Oh it's something that I do with a group of friends from the academy. Whenever we're all on world we...you know what? Why tell you? It's an even better experience in person. You can even bring Ni," he said as a playful smile came onto his face. "It can be a nice romantic date followed by another PRIVATE conversation." |
