"We didn't go back to the same time as the Arc, it went back further. We are in the period of fallout from it. Things are different here. I don't know if this was the plan, but it is not what happened. Come out clean with us Alice. Lack of information can be a killer, some of us know history and an error in saying what it is about could have serious consequences for us. Alice, I am not trying to put you out, but our success here and now depends on us knowing what we need to know." He stayed where he was standing, leaning against one of the consoles, eyes still fixed on Alice.

RE: Chapter Two: A Whole Old World - Akirapryde - 02-21-2016

(OOC: watch for the results of your check woven within this post)

Alice rose from her chair as if in partial retreat. "Yes, yes but the wrong information is just as destructive!" Alice contained to move back till she felt a bit more comfortable. She look around as the others were watching her. "This very well could be a trick by someone for whatever reason." (OOC: despite wanting to, she doesn't believe this statement.)

Alice shifted her stance "After all Professor Angsoft's work is extremely important in understanding the very nature of the Galaxy it's self. (OOC: She does believe this statement, or at least she did at one point)

"Look I know as much as you do about what is going on." Alice said more to attempt to convince herself. (OOC: While she believes this. It appeares that she is attempting to deny something that her scientific mind is telling her is true)

She turned and looked out in to the void of a nearby shadow. She played with something in her hand. (OOC: Eric will see from her reflection that there are tears on her face and she is playing with an engagement ring in her hands)

RE: Chapter Two: A Whole Old World - Akirapryde - 02-21-2016

(OOC: Okay so I wanted to toss this out for the rest of the players. Anyone beside Eric can make a perception check (base plus two target). This will allow them to know that Alice is holding back something. Eric knows this plus the additional information posted already.

Options forward are:
A: Show compassion to her distresse state. This might allow her to open up and share what she is holding back on.

B: Stirke a forceful stance and demand the information. She might crumble and give up the information.

C: Player Option. Surprise me.

End OOC)

(OOC: I choose option A, making my roll now.)

[Failed my Perception Check at +2]

Looking really puzzled

I am sorry but I must have missed the memo.
Arc? Going back in time? Why are so many people aware of so many things and I am not? May I remind all of you that I am the resident analyst gatherer?

RE: Chapter Two: A Whole Old World - Akirapryde - 02-22-2016

Alice turned to face Adrian, "we didn't time travel. Time travel is impossible" she said with a slight bit of grief in her voice. (OOC: Eric, she doesn't truly believe this. But there is more emotion behind this.)

"This has to be a trick by someone," she added before turning back around and falling silent.

RE: Chapter Two: A Whole Old World - Ice Hellion - 02-22-2016

I didn't say so but he...

Pointing at Eric

...said something about it and they...

Pointing at the computers

...did too.

Pausing for one moment and thinking.

When you have eliminated the impossible, whatever remains, however improbable, must be the truth?

RE: Chapter Two: A Whole Old World - Akirapryde - 02-22-2016

Alice blinked as she listened, then turned around. "Look, it's an interesting idea. But this can't be real. Because if it's really, then the ones we love haven't even been born yet," she said looking down at the ring on her finger.

She looked up at Adrian, "no there has to be another explanation than this one. We just are not privy to all the facts. Someone wants us to believe this is real and have gone through a great deal of effort to make us believe in this illusion."

RE: Chapter Two: A Whole Old World - Aria Blackthorn - 02-23-2016

There was so much going on that Suki was genuine confused. All she could do was take in a deep breath and speak softly and clearly, "if you know anything, please share it."

RE: Chapter Two: A Whole Old World - CarcerKango - 02-23-2016

Jake shrugged, the shifting of his clothing audible as he did so. He leaned forward to Alice. "Listen. Nobody's saying it's real or not. But it's best to assume that it is real until it's proven otherwise, right? Otherwise we might mess up irrevocably."
