RE: Gratitude and Southern Comfort (Jonash and Unna) - Unna Hi Chaanu - 07-09-2017

Unna's facial expression remained unchanged as she took in the information. "Thank you for being honest with me. I do understand your reason."

"I think I'm glad ..." Cox's eyes begin to glass over with tears.

Unna gave Cox a couple of gentle pats on the shoulder. She was standing far enough away that her arm was completely extended as she made contact. She then turned to grab a glass and filled it with water from her sink. "Here," she said, holding out the cup. "I thought you could use a cold drink."

"Glad she's dead." He knocks the cup angrily out of her hands, pulls o his hair, and starts to sob uncontrollably.

RE: Gratitude and Southern Comfort (Jonash and Unna) - Unna Hi Chaanu - 07-10-2017

"There's no excuse!" Unna shouted. "Do that again and..." Unna's shouts softened to somewhere between speaking and screaming "...and..." she was now breathing deeply to calm herself. "Sit down and tell me why you'd say such a thing. I'm sorry I shouted, but you startled me."

Unna turned her hand, so that her palm was facing up. Shards of glass rose from the floor and flew gently into her outreached hand.

Cox's crying punctuates his speech in odd places, "She just had to join those bastards and push me to do the same every day!"

He regains some of his composure, "We were doing so well together. Then she was sent away for 10 months. When she returned, she was different in a lot of ways. I thought we might be able to work through them, but we weren't making any headway."

Cox wipes away some of the tears, "Sorry about the glass. This is why I wanted to spend the night with you. I'm not handling this well and being around you assuages me."

RE: Gratitude and Southern Comfort (Jonash and Unna) - Unna Hi Chaanu - 07-10-2017

Unna's voice returned to its soft volume and expressionless tone. "I imagine you are having a lot of mixed emotions, to love someone and see them go astray. I can not imagine how that must feel. To be glad she is dead for that reason doesn't mean you are glad she is dead for all reasons. Such conflicting feelings must be maddening."

RE: Gratitude and Southern Comfort (Jonash and Unna) - Jonash Solo - 07-10-2017

In a tone that is somewhat loud and angry, "What's maddening is I'm still in love with her. And I hate her. And I hate myself for hating her. And I would do anything to have her back."

Cox stands up with his arms half-heartedly ready to hug. His lip quivers, face scrunches, and eyes fill with tears. She can tell that he is holding back even more crying than she saw earlier. He does not appear to speak or move any further.
(Unna senses grief. This is the first time she's sensed grief in Cox and she gets the impression it may be the first time since his lover died.)

RE: Gratitude and Southern Comfort (Jonash and Unna) - Unna Hi Chaanu - 07-10-2017

Unna steps up to Cox and puts her arms around him awkwardly. Her body is stiff and awkward and she says nothing. She is numb, not cruel, so she will endure the hug of the grieving man.

RE: Gratitude and Southern Comfort (Jonash and Unna) - Jonash Solo - 07-10-2017

Cox buries his face into Unna's body and begins sobbing loudly. His crying is muffled by her clothes/body.

(OOC Note: Cox is not paying attention to where he is burying his face. Rebecca can choose where and react accordingly)
