Status quos are made to be broken - aipsylon - 08-19-2017

Gadeon had spent much of the first two days thinking on the offer he had been made by master Dooku, he had decided it was worth consideration, and opened a communications channel. "Ashla, Duncan, Jaden, and Ni, I was made an offer by Grandmaster Dooku that I would like to have your take on.  He has offered me a seat on the grand council I have thought about it for a while in the solitude of my fighter and after careful consideration I have decided that I need more points of view before I can conclude what it is I wish to do.  Please, if you have any thoughts points of view or any other comments I should like to hear what it is you have to say.

"I dont know, Gaddy..." answers Ni with a worried tone, "The Jedi Council can't be trusted. You could be putting yourself in danger by associating with them, and you could get targeted by the bad guys, too, with that kind of status. I don't like it..."

Gadeon nodded, listening for others to explain to him their thoughts on the matter before he responded.

RE: Status quos are made to be broken - Jaden_Starchaser - 08-19-2017

Jaden took his time in thinking of his response. "The council would benefit from having a wise man such as yourself sit on it. You could be the voice of reason that helps mend relations in the Order. However, I don't think Coruscant is the safest place to be right now. Especially with the threat looming ahead. Orchid may be dead, but there's always agents of darkness and they've shown how easily they can move through the Jedi."

"Thank you, but I would like to say that what opposes the darkness if not the light Jaden, I would need not stay upon the world of Corescant, as of late Masters have left from the temple to travel to other temples and work on mending the order diplomatically, as for the ability of agents of darkness to move through the council, it is something that I have given a lot of thought. You speak of risk, so I will ask you, is the chance to reunify and reform the Jedi worth the risk?"

RE: Status quos are made to be broken - Gar - 08-19-2017

"The Jedi are just as corrupt as the politicians," interjected Ni in a low, bitter tone, "I don't think organizing them would fix that. In fact, it could make things more dangerous."

RE: Status quos are made to be broken - Jaden_Starchaser - 08-19-2017

Jaden was momentarily shocked by the bitter tone in Ni's voice, but given the experiences she had undergone and the fate of Master Henoch he understood where her feelings were coming from. 'Oh Ni,' he thought to himself and resolved to seek her out after this conversation. "Perhaps what the Jedi need is a guiding light to help then back onto their path."

Gadeon let the two speak with another, he would learn more about the whys if they discussed when he could listen, he did not want to oppose their views, but he did want them explored. For the time he stayed quiet and let them speak

RE: Status quos are made to be broken - Gar - 08-19-2017

"Who is to decide the right path?" Asked Ni with a genuinely curious air, "Who has the authority to decide the way that all Jedi should follow? And who would listen? That is the issue. There are no absolutes. Perhaps this is the very reason why we are in this situation in the first place."

RE: Status quos are made to be broken - Jaden_Starchaser - 08-19-2017

"It's no secret that the Jedi are divided. We've seen it since Olivan and there are more and more Jedi temples joining the schism. The Jedi high council itself is divided and this division has allowed our enemies to walk amongst us. It was by no accident that Orchid was able to masquerade as a Jedi in the very temple that the High Council presides over. What the Jedi Council needs; what the Jedi as an institution needs is to be unified and the current generation has shown that it cannot do that. The next generation needs to step up in order to affect change and make the Jedi whole again," Jaden said passionately.
