Iktoch Base Building Details - Gar - 08-31-2017

Here we can discuss what we bought with the 25K, how long it will take to install, and other details.

My suggestions:
For the design of the tunnel I suggest keeping it simple: one long hallway with rooms on either side. Rooms consist of Mudroom (place to gear up, hang our hazard suits and boots), three bunkers (one for males, one for females, one for SoCo), Kitchen area, Bathroom, Infirmary with med droids, Workshop, Greenhouse Room (also meditation area), Briefing Room, Office (where we do computer stuff and hold records), and the rest of the rooms made for simple storage of equipment, spare parts, etc.

Details needed:
- what equipment we currently have
- how much of the base has been made by next session
- how are we providing security of the property (scans, traps, droids, etc)

Suggestions for purchased equipment:

2x air locks
Tarp (soil colored) big enough to cover the ship until we have a hangar
Standard life support, primary and emergency (including air purifiers and air moisture harvesters)
Food for 2 weeks for entire crew
2x fusion generators
Lights, standard and special for greenhouse
Seeds
Spray on cement or equivalent to have sealed tunnels and proper floor and walls. This one is important to keep the repair droids free of dust.

Suggested Standard Droid Teams:
4 x Mining Droids
3 x Repair Droids
1 x Protocol Droids
1 x Battle droid

The mining droids and repair droids work in concert. Repair processes the materials and build new droids slightly slower than what the mining can harvest. A protocol droid will serve as administrator and supervisor as both mining and repair have a stubborn nature that may keep them working too long or inefficiently. Also the protocol droid has the most unassigned ranks out of the bunch so it can be programmed for other tasks as needed. The battle droid will serve as security and additional general labor.

After about 100 days, there should be 4 teams.

Some dynamics:
- Each unit like this one can hold up to 3,000 refugees, though the ideal population is more around 2,500
- Each unit consists of 12 Communes, Greenhouses, a center Marketplace, a Kitchen, a Recreation Center, Barracks, Training area (located in barracks) and an Infirmary 
- Each hall of 44 sublets is a Commune; each commune has an elected member of its group called a Speaker. For example, the elected one would be addressed as The Speaker of Commune #12. 
- Each Speaker is responsible for meeting together every fortnight to discuss needs and concerns of their group
- The city is protected by a militia (who takes shifts of 8 to 12 hrs) and droids

Each unit can hold 2,500 - 3000 refugees.
Each commune consists of 200 - 250 members
Communes have 42 sublets and 2 bathrooms each (Men and Women bathroom)
