Falling Behind in SP? Try a Moral Compass - Akirapryde - 10-01-2013 So I have noticed that while many of our players are enjoying the rich story taking place on the Web Site, others are not being able to benefit from it. This could place those who are not taking full advantage of the web site might fall behind in terms of rewards in Skill Points. To avoid this I have thought of a In-Game solution for this. So with this in mind, I have come up with the idea of a moral compass. Here is what I am thinking. Pick one of the three moral compass to play by. Each game when you play your compass without fail, you will get 3x, 2x or 1x your LRN= in Skill Points. If you violate your compass, you will get a slight downgrade from your reward. Meaning lets say you accidentally shot and kill an innocent person. You go from a 3x to a 2x. If you do something intentionally to violate your moral compass with evil intent you loss your reward all together. At the end of the game, I will ask the party to rate your actions against your compass. You will never get less then 1x your LRN as long as you don't willingly do an evil act. The idea in this is to have a morally strong campaign. These options are open to anyone who wishes to take them. Please make sure that you inform everyone of which option you are playing under. Once you choose one, you are to maintain it. you may choose to switch an option or drop it all together by simply talking to me about it. These options will not negatively effect your AP at the end of the game. However playing very strong to your compass will grant you a AP bonus. Okay read over the three options and let me know what you think. The three options are: Option One: Always keep His/Her word Avoids lies Never kill or attack an unarmed foe Never torture for any reason Never kill for pleasure Always help others Work well in a group Respect authority, law, self-discipline and honor Never betrays a friend Never break the law unless conditions are desperate. This means no breaking and entry, theft, torture, unprovoked, unprovoked assaults, ect. Option Two: Keeps his word to any other good person Lie only to people who are selfish or evil Never attack or kill an unarmed foe Never harm an innocent Never torture for pleasure, but may use muscle to extract information from criminals or evil persons Never kill for pleasure; will always attempt to bring the villain to justice alive no matter how vile they --may be. Always help others Attempt to work within the law whenever possible Bend and, occasionally, break the law when deemed neccessary Distrust authority Work with groups (but dislikes confining laws and bureaucracy: red tape) Never betrays a friend Option Three: Have a high regard for life and freedom Keeps his word of honor Lie and cheat if necessary Will not kill an unarmed foe (but will take advantage of one) Help those in need Not use torture unless absolutely necessary Work with a group, especially if profitable Never harm an innocent Never kill for pleasure Dislike authority Never betray a friend RE: Falling Behind in SP?
