Sister Sister (Part Two)
The morning workout and run with Richard was all that Rebecca had hoped it was. Her muscles felt as if they were on fire from all that she had put herself through. She knew that if she wanted to better herself, she had to push herself beyond her limits. And in pushing beyond her limits, she knew she had to step up her training. This morning was going to be just the beginning as she set out to build up her muscle mass and overall physical strength. Her burning leg muscles and her arms were a good indication that today was a very good start to her new program.

She has pleased that Richard didn’t ask any questions about why she pushed back their normal jogging time. It wasn’t that she was doing had nothing to do with anything strange or bazar. She just didn’t feel comfortable sharing her extra work out time or details with anyone just yet. It wasn’t that she had wanted to keep it a secret for the sake of keeping a seccret. It was because it was a chance for her to be alone with her own thoughts.

Being the youngest in her family, solitude was something of a luxary for her. When she went off to univercity, she found solitude to be a great companion. While other students were exploring their new found independence, Rebecca often enjoyed her nights with a good book or studying. This time alone allowed her time to gather her thoughts, study and complete assignments. While there were the occasional group activities, for the most part Rebecca was able to complete nearly all of her studies in prefect solitude. Even with a roommate like Kira, Rebecca was able to enjoy her solitude.

Something that since she and Kira created their show, Rebecca had sorely missed. It wasn’t that Rebecca was complaining, she wanted the show and loved preforming them. Rebecca waved to Richard as he headed for the house. Instead of following him, Rebecca decided to walk over to the water’s edge. While she walked towards the lake, she wondered if Richard really understood why the show was so important to her. Rebecca smiled as she walked up to a log that had been set along the edge of the water. Rebecca noted the marks on the log and figured someone had brought the log here intentionally. She set down and started to pull off her shoes and socks. With her shoes and socks set off to the side, she pulled her pant legs up to protect them as best as she could.

As Rebecca slide her legs in to the water found the cool water soothing to her feet and lower legs. She slid off the log as she pushed her legs deeper in to the cool water. Rebecca leaned her head back against the log and looked up towards the deep blue sky. The more she used her sight, the more she realized that she could see deeper and clearer images in this magical world. She closed her eyes as she used her Space Arcana to create a map of the local area within her mind (Spent One Mana for the Space Spell). The map showed her where everything and everyone was in relation to herself. She could sense that Simon was his forge making something. She knew that Kira was over at the truck in what appeared to be a conversation with the truck. Her map even showed the movement of the fish within the water around her. Rebecca allowed her mind to reach out through her sight and her map as she focused on each figure within her map. Moving from figure to figure, she finally settled on the fish around her feet. She didn’t move her head, she tried to will her sight to follow them without moving her body or opening her eyes.

She knew that this was possible but wasn’t sure if she was able to do this. She wanted to merge her sight with some Space spells to expand her vision beyond the normal realm of her perception. Watching the fish around her feet was very calming for her as she let go of her emotions and just enjoyed flowing around the water with her sight. She didn’t dare wonder too far. As Rebecca laid there watching the fish move about the water with the greatest of ease. She tried to sense their spirits but her abilities within the Spirit Arcana were still lacking. She wanted to see in to the Spirit realm like the Guardian had shown her, but she knew it would take more time for her to master that.

Mastering things was something that never really came easily to her. In fact she had to push harder than most to understand even the basic magical traditions. This used to be the same for academics, but years of pushing herself had paid off giving her a strong understanding that was better than most. But even in this level of understanding, it wasn’t good enough for her. Rebecca always pushed harder for more. Good enough was never a reasonable answer for Rebecca. The thirst of the challenge was something that Richard and she shared in common. Though, she didn’t take it to the level that Richard did. She laid there thinking, ‘maybe I should learn from his example and push even harder. After all, it look where it got him when it came to understanding Magic.’

Challenging herself was nothing new to her. She remembered how hard it was at Texas Univercity. Not only was she a new student in the middle of her senior year. But her father’s influence had made it possible for her to get enrolled in the first place. This caused her fellow classmates to look at her as if she didn’t belong there. Her passion to please her father drove her to pushing herself harder than before. Rebecca wanted to make sure that his faith in her wasn’t misplaced. Because of this, she had to not only succeed but to surpass all others.

Through this, Rebecca had to not only master what they were teaching in her courses at the moment. But she also had to master what they had already learned. Rebecca spent endless hours pushing her mind and body to its emotional limits so she could master her courses. She had to dig deeper than most other students to achieve her goal. Her studies weren’t the only obsticle in the way of her reaching her goal.

One such obstacle was Jonathan Campbell, the current leader in the race for Valedictorian. A very competitive man who wasn’t about to let her take his prize. The two had come to words after she had beat him during a critical architectural project. The project had a full scholarship and a cash prize as well as the Valedictorian riding on it for the two students. Rebecca put long hours in to the project and in the end of the project her hard work paid off. The final score on the project pushed Rebecca in to the lead for Valedictorian and Jonathan had lost his temper at her. In the end though, Rebecca was able to claim the coveted honor from Jonathan.

She took in a deep a breath as she watched Kira walking towards the lake. Rebecca knew that Kira had wanted to talk to her about finding out if someone was watching the cabal or following them. They had talked about it a bit last night while Rebecca was writing her official report back to the Silver Ladder. While her report was not as long as other reports, Rebecca felt that it was clearly one of the more important ones. By now, the Silver Ladder Leadership had to be aware of Rebecca’s desire to get their field handler in to the Report loop. She wondered how they would take Rebecca’s hard stance on the subject. Once more, it seemed only logical for their field handler to have all the details of what was going on.

For the moment, nothing really seemed to matter as Rebecca just enjoyed the cooling effects of the water. She moved her legs a bit causing the little school of fish to scatter from around her legs. The water felt so nice against her flesh. Rebecca smiled as she relaxed while playing with the water with her legs, “Ah, I could do this all day” she said knowing that this was simply something Rebecca couldn’t do. She and Kira had a lot of work to do today. Rebecca finally had an idea of how they were going to include the stunt that Meatball had created in to their next book. The answer was actually pretty simple once Rebecca thought about it. She turned her hand as Kira approached, “Hey there Kira” Rebecca said with a smile.

RE: Sister Sister (Part Two)
The early morning came all too quickly for Kira as she rolled over to turn off her alarm. She made a hissing sound as she pulled the pillow over her head, “just a few more minutes” she begged in a groggy half sleeping kind of voice. Her mind wasn’t fully awake to realize that she had set a second alarm. Before she realized it, the second alarm went off. Kira pulled the pillow from her head and whipped it towards the second alarm. She hissed once more as she rolled back over. The sound of the alarm filled the room as Kira fought against sleep as she crawled across her bed. She slipped from her bed and flopped on to the floor with a huff. “Damnit!” she cursed as she pushed herself up on all fours. She crawled across the floor till she was at the foot of her dresser. Kira reached up towards her phone and tried to turn it off.

To Kira’s surprise as she tried to unlock her phone, she activated a trap that she set for herself. The noise level rose in her room to a level that Kira’s hopes of returning to bed were all but lost. She fumbled with the phone for a few moments before she managed to silence the phone. Kira flopped down on to the floor as she leaned against her dresser. After a few minutes Kira finally got up and walked over to her closet. It was clearly too early for her as she saw Rebecca and Richard heading out for their jog. Kira let out a sigh, “it’s too early” she said grumbling. Kira pulled out a purple skirt with a matching flowing top. She carefully laid out her clothes and gathered up her toiletries. After a few more moments, Kira gathered up her things and walked down the hall to take a shower.

After her shower, Kira grabbed a bite to eat in the kitchen. Before she decided to head out, Kira decided to actually do something different. Last night, Rebecca had explained how she wanted to get away from everyone seeing her as a woman filled with rage. Kira had spent most of last night thinking about that conversation. She cleaned her dishes and then returned to her room to tidy it up before heading out. As Kira walked towards the Expedition, she calmed her mind and focused on the spiritual energy around her (OOC: Activating Spirit Sight and Spirit Talk, Cost two mana). As she walked up to the truck, she smiled, “Hello there. I am Kira” she said politely as she spoke to the spirit of the truck. “I have a question for you, please.”

Kira paused for a moment as she started to wonder about how spirits would consider what she said. ‘Do they comprehend things like we do?’ she thought. “Could you please tell me some things? Do you know if anyone that is not part of our group has been around or inside you?” she asked softly. She paused once more before asking something else. She didn’t want to confuse the spirit of the truck. “Do you know if someone has touched you or put anything on or in you?”
Kira started to laugh as she suddenly felt foolish. “What I would like to know is, has anyone who is not us put anything on you.

(OOC: After she’s done with the car, Kira is going to walk over to where Rebecca is. Kira will have Rebecca use her sight to see if there is any spells on the car that shouldn’t be there. After checking the car, they will walk the perimeter. They will be checking to see if there are any spells around their hollow.)
