OOC Set Up: Ashla
Ashla was tired. Ever since I kill that man I have not been sleeping. I have not been thinking. Watching the others at the fire, I realized I can't be with them now.

~rustling around for some branches~

I need warmth,

~Sounds of a fire being built~

It is small, it is what I expected to feel from him. But he was big, I wish...I wish...I... lapsing off

Stares at the fire.

Warrior Jahdai

"Hey there kiddo!" Came a voice from behind Ashla. If she turned around, she would see none other than the pilot walking up next to her. He always found it amusing to call her kiddo even though the togura was actually older than he was. Probably because she reminded him of his little sister. And what did all good big brothers do with their little sisters? Tease them of course.

"What's going on here?" He asked as he sat down next to Ashla. He leaned back so he could prop himself up with his left elbow and rest his right on his bent knee. He could see that she was lost in the fire. Entranced by its memorizing flames like so many before her. The perfect place to over think things. "In some deep soul searching here are we?"

Ashla

looking up at the pilot Ashly grins. "Aiy, it has been a rough few days. That and with the argument over there" nodding to the other fire " It doesn't sound like they are any better." With the way thing seem to split up like this...well, somehow I think things are going to get far worse."

Warrior Jahdai

A pair of blue eyes glanced over to the fire that Ashla was gesturing to about the argument. Yeah, the whole disortation could be heard from here but that didn't matter. Step two of being a big brother meant reassuring and protecting thy sister. This rule sometimes even took presidence over the first rule of teasing. "I wouldn't be too worried about it." He said with a dismissive gesture with his hand. "You've got to think positive. Not just because 'every day is a new day' or 'you never know what could happen'." The pair of blue eyes now looked over to Ashla. "You need to think positive because you make your own future." He made sure to emphasize the word you both times he said it with his vocal influction as well as pointing to Ashla. He really wanted to drive home the idea that she held her future in her own hands.

"Still..." His voice began to trail off as he turned to face the fure once more. "It never hurts to talk." It never hurts women at least. Men preferred to keep their thoughts locked up. But some females thought talking about feelings was theraputic. Who was he to argue? "What's bugging you?" Rule number three of the big brother list. Be cool, kind, and compassionate when necessary and not for a second longer. Severe teasing must follow these sessions of kindness to restore balance.

Ashla

"I have heard that one before." Meaning the Your life is in you hands. " I Know on one hand I could care less, on the other I know these people slightly and this splitting loves between Angel and Birgr because of an ideal doesn't end well. I have seen it before and I most likely will see it again. " Snorting, "Have you seen whats here? This is nothing for who and what I have been. Positive no problem, I am just pointing out the facts of what is going to happen. Talon, your commander above Birgr is Not going to be happy I think. "

"Hurmf, brother dear, I don't talk to other about me. You should know this by now. It comes from my past of smuggling, I don't talk, I don't die. Leave it." Hoping that for once he would push the subject. "I like it when you tease me, it reminds me of family a long time ago. That and I appreciate your kindness, however, you first and foremost duty is to Talon, and Birgr, I can't forget that."

Falling off into silence, she thought about it again. Saw all the pictures of that day, relived them again. No this, she couldn't tell this young man no matter that he wanted to help her. Ashly knew, even if he promised not to tell, he is an Immortal, he is one I can never be.

Changing the subject. "I bet you cant beat me in a simple game." Ashly said as she pulled out a deck of old time cards.

After some time Ashla gets up from playing a few games saying she needed to deal with something and quietly walks away from her little fire.

Warrior Jahdai

The orange embers of the fire flickering in the pit reflected off of pensive eyes. Eyes that were not making direct contact with Ashla but ones that were clearly listening to everything she had to say. What she spoke of ideals tearing people apart was a sad fact of life. It is what tore the galaxy apart after all. Planets and people were so polarized that one would doubt if a unifying force could ever emerge once more. One that brought about stability without force of arms. At least, not in the galaxy this Azgardian warrior was familiar with.

Ashla's sudden burst and term of endearment brought this man back to reality. She was going on about some rant about not talking about her life. "Oh, of course, how could I forget?" A light tone began to say as a pair of eyes rolled until they met Ashla. "Ashla, also known as Darkside. Darkside because you can never see the darkside of the moon." He was back to teasing her before she knew what hit her. But she retorted with how his teasing actually reminded her of family. A small, genuine smirk appeared across the pilot's lips despite his best effort to conceal his true feelings. "You've gotta remember that we're all family out here. Like it or not."

Then came Ashla's challenge. Nothing more than a simple card game. The pilot was more than happy to oblige her because it was something to keep her mind off of what was really bothering her. But the card game would not last as Ashla quickly excused herself from the fire. It seemed that whatever was bothering her was bigger than what he first expected.
