RE: Works in Progress
"A version of her…" Auro echoed in a whisper of awe. Opening himself to the Force, he felt its currents move through him in waves of energy, light, and warmth. Wherever he was, he was not alone: The Force was with him… His friends were with him… Auro opened his eyes to smile at Unna and realized she had left him in meditation. "Well, the Force is with me," he said to himself with a bit of levity.
Pablo-Jill sat near the warm fusion lantern, vigilantly guarding Auro's makeshift workshop. The crowd of students in the quad had thinned out considerably. Auro finished packing up Nines, triple-checked to make sure he had every component, and sealed the plasteel bin's magnetic lid. He activated the container's repulsors and it hovered a half-meter off the ground. Making sure the buckles and straps on his backpack were fastened and tied securely, Auro stood, slung it over his shoulders, and picked up the fusion lantern.
He paused for a moment to gaze up at the myriad stars blanketing the Outer Rim Territories. Then and there, Auro surrendered himself to the Will of the Force, trusting that he and his friends were exactly where and when they were meant to be. With Pablo-Jill trotting along beside him, Auro pushed the hover-bin toward the mess hall, his mind curious, his body hungry, but his spirit at peace.
