Worlds colliding!
Restoring Peace and Order on Mimar took more than what was expected. Due to widespread corruption, numerous local and planetary leaders had to be removed from power. A group of locals who had been selected by the Republic Senate were appointed to the Leadership of Mimar. While protests continued across Mimar, without the support and backing of Nima and her followers these protests were reduced in size and violence. At the end of the day, Mimar was declared at peace once more.
The most shocking turn of events for the party came when Demaya held a very secret meeting with Auro. She opened her private meeting with this line, “I know that we must learn to trust each other. I didn’t mean to give you the wrong impression when Captain Tarkin had arrived. Let me show you what he brought with him.”
On that note, Demaya showed Auro a list of fifty Jedi, Republic Officers and independent commands. This list was a who’s who list that the Grand Council suspects of having wavering support for the Grand Council. Auro noted a number of former friends (Saberblades) that were on this list. (This scene is open for an in-between should Auro wish to hold it.) While Auro is a member of the Jedi Order, his close relationship to the Chancellor has meant that this list was not meant for his eyes.
Back on Coruscant, Chancellor Syrdash continues to move to secure her grip on the Chancellorship. Debates rage across the Senate led by worlds like Mon Calamari, Raxus Secundus, Devin, and Etti. Worlds across the Outer and Mid Rim have made numerous calls for a general assemble vote on the Chancellorship. While the Chancellor might seem to be suffering a wave of dissent in the Republic Senate, she has strong support across the Core Worlds and her support within the Colonies and Inner Rim grows every day.
With the Senate paralyzed by debate, Chancellor Syrdash has made efforts to expand her influence. Citing the dangers that Raxus Secundus posed to her, Chancellor Syrdash has reached out to the leadership of the Tion Hegemony and the powerful House of Tion. The Chancellor and the head of the Tion Family has entered in to trade negotiations. If the Chancellor could secure a trade deal with the Tion Hegemony, it would strengthen her position within the Senate.
Sensing this shift, rebellious Senators have started to hold secret meetings away from the Senate in hopes of securing a plan that could force the Chancellor to allow the Senate to vote on the Chancellorship. Hope for these rebellious Senators have come from an unexpected source. The Outer Rim World of Olivan.
Republic Intelligence has reported that a group of Masters were planning a meeting on Olivan with the plans to sever ties with the rest of the Jedi Order. If these rebellious Senators could link Chancellor Syrdash to this recent crisis, they could undermine the Chancellor’s support in the Senate. To help calm the situation, Grand Master Dooku has ordered two of his top negotiators to Olivan to avoid a split within the order.
For our party, their next mission would be take Auro home. The Chancellor has sent an urgent request to Jedi Knight Syrdash to take the 2nd Battalion and the Vengeance to the Outer Rim World of Sembla. There the Vengeance will land at the Republic Supply base and take on supplies. Once the Vengeance is fully loaded with supplies, it will make for the Mid Rim World of Honam IV. There a super volcano threatens the local population with an extinction level event.
Knight Syrdarh’s orders are to set up a refugee site on Honam’s sister world Honam III. While the world is a desert world, the vital supplies that the Vengeance will be bringing with her will make the refugee site habitable. Six other Republic ships have been assigned to this mission as well. While a vital mission for the people of Honam IV, this mission offers the party a chance to unwind and enjoy some vital down time. There is no indication that this mission holds any chance of combat or stress.
It will also be a mission where the 2nd Battalion will not be led by Jedi Knight Demaya. Prior to these orders coming in, Demaya had placed a request for leave. Once the Vengeance arrives on Sembla, Demaya will take a shuttle to her final destination. She left the 2nd Battalion in the trusting hands of Commander Valin Reglia.
Admin Stuff:
This game will be a special game event. We are having Sonny’s Cater our event. ALL PLAYERS MUST RSVP (either on Meet Up or Text). We are also offering gifts to my loyal players. We spent $5 per gift, should you wish to reciprocate though this is not required. This event is a heartfelt thank you from Jess and I to our players.
I am opening the Game Event at 4pm so that gift exchanging and eating doesn’t interfere with game time. Also, I am not going to set up a hard stop time. All players are welcome to stay as late as they wish. I will continue to run the game as long as I have players who wants to play. This game will be a shenanigan game. Meaning no major plot lines will be advanced unless the players demand it.
