Richard realized he was holding his breath. Even with his two minds it was a lot of information to process but he felt confident that he understood what she wanted to teach him. "Thanks for that" he said, "I imagine it will take write allot of practice before I could pull this off at will". He spent a moment thinking about it all, "why would you have shown this to everyone, why the private lesson?"

Rebecca smiled a bit bashfully as he showed his gratitude, “you are welcome." It was uncommon for either him or Simon to show gratitude for something she did. Or maybe it was just lingering sour feelings. Either way, it made her feel good to be appreciated for what she can offer the Cabal as a whole. "It took me weeks of intense practice to master this form of defense. I picked up the technique from that Prime Book I bought. However judging your own skills, I can’t imagine it would take you nearly as long to learn the basics,” she said softly.

But it was his next statement that confused her. She wasn't sure at first what he wanted to say. She blinked as she tried to understand what he was saying. Then she thought that she understood what he was asking. “I didn’t want to show everyone because I am not that good of a teacher” she said then smiled. Her smile turned in to a grin as she joked, “I am not sure you realized this, but I have a slightly abrasive personality.”

As she allowed a bit of a laughter between them, she realized that she did owe him an answer. “I plan to teach everyone this defensive trick. But first I wanted to try on you and see how it worked out.” She didn’t want to tell him the reason why she wanted him to be the first. Instead she just let the statement slide. “Next will be Kira if she wants to learn it. Then if he wants to learn it, I will teach Simon. But I have to have the experience in the given Arcana to teach this defensive stance. Like with Mind, I have picked up a pretty good amount of this Arcana. And I have gotten this defensive stance down pretty well too,” she paused. "Next, as I said, will be Kira because she has a strong understanding of the Prime Arcana.”
