Astra wakes up from a not so restful sleep. She had spent most of the night worried about Hadaza and also trying to find a way to convince her to stop calling her Highness.

She eventually gets dressed and heads to the kitchen with the intent of making something to eat.

Tesara moves to the cupboard and pulls out some newly stocked food from the Priloc and makes herself some breakfast.  "I had a long night as well.  Lots to think on."  She looks at Durro, then back at Astra.  "What made your night long?"

Durro sets himself up at one end; propping up his book Delequices of Dathomir and begins rummaging through the cupboards for ingredients.

" Hi master" Astra says then focuses on Tesara. " it Hadaza im worried about her. I went to speak to her last night. It was kind of a rocky conversation towards the end of it she had an episode like Roza use to have. I'm not sure what set it off but she started shaking it seamed she was tarifyed of sumthing." Astra said.

Tesara sets down the plate of food and frowns.  "This was last night?  What kind of episode?  You know she was really upset, angry and very likely hurt by what the professor said and did."  Tesara sat, still frowning.  "She is still dealing with the trauma of what happened to her and the loss of her memories.  It's a long healing process."

" One I'm all to aware of," astra said dryly. She looked at tesara thinking for a moment. She was not sure how to describe it. " I set it off," She said her eyes going wide as realization hit her. She shook her head. " I had mentioned that the professor was good with mental health and had silenced the voices in my head with medication and suggested he may be able to help her. This was after she had calmed down somewhat. Anyway, she started shaking and said she did not want medication or anything from the professor. Again it was like she was terrified. " Astra said calmly.

" I hugged her and reminded her that no one would make her do anything. She settled down and the episode stopped eventually but. It was so much like the episodes Roza would have after she woke from a nightmare. I'm afraid Hadaza will get hurt during the episode or worse harm herself if they continue. She insisted she would be ok and if there was something wrong or bothering her she would let someone know so as she was calm I left her alone as she asked" Astra said.

Tesara snorts a little.  "Yes I doubt Hadaza will want anything from the Professor right now."  She takes a bite and looks thoughtful.  "The thing is with Haj, I have only seen her be afraid once or twice, and that was at the very beginning of having her with us.  Over the last month it has turned to steely resolve.  Knowing what happened with the Priloc and the disastrous outcomes of it, my guess is that Haj is just more emotionally wrung out than afraid.  After all,"  She smiles at her friend.  "She sat straight as a rod without moving when Kasandra had that blade at the back of her neck.  Anyone else might have panicked but she sat there looking quite angry about it.  Granted that led to her trying to move the blade with the Force which set of a chain of events that were..." She frowns, searching for a good word.  "Unfortunate."  She says dryly.  "What made you think she would hurt herself either by choice or by accident?"  She asks, making a mental note to go check on Hadaza as soon as she is done eating.

Astra took a deep breath. "Like I said Roza had episodes like that. After the attack on that ship. She had symptoms as well. She suffered and struggled for years befor she..." Astra started. She took several deep breaths. " tesara it's far more complicated episode she doesn't trust herself and believes she is a danger to everyone around her. On top of rebuilding herself"Astra said

Tesara reaches out and takes Astra’s hand.  “Thank you for telling me this, Astra. It’s nice to see someone else concerned for her welfare now.  Master Thel-Tanis is over there making her some breakfast.  Hadaza is a part of this team.  I’ll go talk to her.”  She says, finishing the last of her breakfast.  She stands and glances at Durro, she knows he is listening.

There is a clanging clatter as a pair of pots fall to the floor from a cabinet. Durro can be heard muttering under his breath.
"Anyone know of a good substitute for Mushling Root?" He asks.

"Two hundred battle droids on the plains of Huuqain, no problem. Fun, even. Baking this... ugly little fish..." He gestures to the sad little fillet popping in the frying pan. "...this might have me beaten."
He gestures to the book propped on the counter.
"Be my guest. But unless you've ever been to breakfast with the Witches of Dathomir, I doubt you can find good substitutes for these ingredients."
"Veeka Eggs... Veeka Eggs... Why are there no eggs in this galley?" Durro asks nobody in particular.

Astra look at at the resaply and looked at the fish in the pan. She smiled" No but I know of sumthing we use to make at the academy can you prepare some vechtibals and a pot of water do you still have the bones from the fish?" she asked.

Durro looks at Astra incredulously, as if she had just suggested serving the book itself for breakfast. He tilts the book, looking at its title, then back to Astra again.
"You do realize I'm trying to make Dathomirian cuisine, right? Did the Jedi teach you to make Witch's Stew?"
"Fine, I'll get the vegetables. I suppose it won't hurt to have a backup dish. Don't let the fish burn!"
He walks over to the unit and opens the door, rummaging inside.

" No but there's a number of ingredince in this resapy that can be used in a stew or supe and it will make substituting some of the unfamiliar species and routes easier." She said as she started looking at some spices. Picking several. " here uses some of these in the pot with the fish bones and bring it all to a boil don't add the vegetables yet. I'll start making Noddles" She said quietly setting to work.

"Astra, it's a frozen fish fillet. It has no bones!"
He stands, a small carton in his hands.
"I have no idea what a 'tuung-snipe' is, but an egg's an egg. I'll fry a couple of these up."
His face darkens when he sees the containers on the counter. He glances at the spices and mutters several somethings rapidly to himself.
"Astra, these are Serrenian spices! What's going to be Dathomirian about this meal!? Who has noodles for breakfast, anyway!?"
He heads for the pantry on the hunt for vegetables.

Astra rolls her eyes. " Master neither you or I know what these spices are in the book and wail one or two of them are here.you still don't know what to subsatutue any of them with. I would assume your trying to make a dish for hadaza correct" she asked. As she looked closer at the Fish master did you even bother to thaw this befor starting to cook it" She asked.

"Aha! Mushling Root!" Durro says happily.
"Canned Mushling Root." He adds, a little less happily. "And it's two years out of date."
The can clinks onto the counter, along with several vegetables.
"Oh well, I'm sure it's still good. Canned food is forever, right? That's why it's a survival staple."

" Master are you trying to give her food poisoning!!" Astra yealed in alarm."  Are you insane? Caned food stays good for longer yes but not 2 years after the explanation date Master do you even know how to cook" she said she quickly took the can from him. "  The fight should be done soon at least that's how it smells" She said.

"Of course I know how to cook!" He replies, taking the can back. "I survived fourteen years in the Jungle on my own and another five in Tesara's village."
Finding a can opener, he pops the tin open with a hiss. He smells the contents, makes a face, and chucks the can into the disposal unit.
"Right, so no Mushling Root. I guess fish and eggs are it."
He checks the fish, and removes it from the heat.
"OK, eggs and.... toast? I guess. I'm not aware of the Dathormirians making bread, much less eating toast. Tesara's people did, but it was a treat not a staple."

" you did not live off caned..." Ashe started then burst into giggles wanting durros face after he opened the can. It remained her of an incident with Sol.

" Sol you never lision," she said between giggles without thought.  Before reality came crashing back down on her. She chose to ignore the slip rather then deal with it.

" Master Hadaza will probably enjoy whatever is made for her. She did not strike me as a picky eater" she tried reassuring him.

"I'll be banned from the kitchen after this." He muses. "How can dismantling ten thousand battle droids and conquering the unconquerable fortress of Na'Zheel be easier than making breakfast?"
He cracks four eggs into a new pan. They begin sizzling and release a pleasant smell into the kitchen. After a few minutes, he takes the spatula and flips them over carefully. Another rush of incomprehensible muttering before he says;
"Well, scrambled it is. Is there any cheese?" He glances up at Astra
"How is your soup coming?"

" Apparently im not the only one lost in the past today." She said. She had stopped getting an alernit meall ready and focused on the task Durro had given her. Though at the moment she was cleaning up as much of the mess as she could so they would have less to clean later. " I had only decided to improvise as I thought you said ther was no eggs, oh here you go cheese," she said. As she had stopped what she was doing to look for it. She handed the chess to durro. " Sol and I use to cook together I miss that more then I realized" she said. A strange sad smile on her face.

Durro adds cheese to eggs and continues to move them around.
"I understand. You've mentioned spending lot's of time in the kitchens. Something about potatoes." He grins.

As he moves the eggs from the pan to the plates, he says;
"Well, it's edible. Doesn't look pretty and isn't what I envisioned, but it's edible. I just need some buttered toast and we'll be set!"
He starts a few slices of bread toasting, then freezes as if remembering something.
"Ah, I almost forgot!"
He withdraws his tin of Priloc-seed from his robe and sprinkles some on the fish.
"For flavor!"

"Their loss is my gain; I'm going to need all the help I can get." Durro says, withdrawing toast that is a tad too dark from the toasting unit. He spreads butter on the bread so it melts, and gets two small dishes with spread and puts one on each plate.
"There. I think that's everything. What am I missing?"
Two plates sit on the counter; a seasoned fish fillet, two scrambled eggs with cheese, and two slices of buttered toast on each plate.
Durro glances at the book on the counter, then back at his plates, then closes the book hard with a satisfying THUMP.
"Well, this breakfast certainly isn't Dathomirian. Which I should be grateful for, I suppose."

"I'd like to learn." He says. "I shouldn't take the lead for a while."
"Caff! That's what I'm forgetting!" He moves over to the caff-maker. "At least I'm familiar with this."
While the pot brews, Durro puts both plates in the warming unit and retrieves two mugs.
"I thought it's obvious? Hadaza is Dathomiri. I thought familiar food might trigger something, since she's rejected the idea of becoming someone new and wants to recover what's been lost."

Astra razes an eyebrow. " You know Zebrack come from plants other then Dothimear to right? She could be from any one of those other worlds and cultures" she said. She shook her head with a smile. " On another note master, I told her the truth about my past. I took a page from tesara's book when it comes to building trust. Anyway now I can't convince her to stop calling my Highness I don't know what to do she muttered bursting into giggles. It was quite funny how of the rails the night had gone. " I will say she has quite the defence mechanism there, scared the hell out of me" she smiled.

"Yes, I know but..." He gives Astra a strange look, like he's confused about something.
"You really didn't see it? Did the Jedi not teach about the Witches of Dathomir? The facial markings were my first clue, the language she speaks sometimes when distracted is another. The final clue was the hand gesture she uses when showing respect. My Jedi taught us about all of the major Force traditions we may come across. Not in great detail, but enough to recognize them and understand their traditions broadly. I can't say for sure if she was a witch or not; I don't know that much. She is from Dathomir though; I'm certain of that."
The caff maker beeps and stops bubbling and steaming. Durro ensures it is ready but leaves the hot-plate on.
"Well, everything's ready whenever she is."
"You told her? Interesting. Did she say anything about what happened with the Priloc? I don't want to salt any wounds during breakfast."

" They may have. I may have either forgotten or was not paying attention. Those classes were kinda boring and the way the instructor droned on in the same boring tone. It put me to sleep. "She said with a grin.

" you know that does not vary helpful. Yes, I told her," she said slightly frustrated for a breafe moment. She shut her eyes and shook her head. " we kinda talked about them she was more upset about what the professor said and how she put everyone in danger. She was convinced last night that's she was a danger to everyone. I'm pretty sure I convinced her to calm down. Though unless she brings it up I would not recommend talking about it. Man she was like looking in a meair once we got past her threatening me" She said.

Astra looked uncomfortable. " Master it's not my Heritage I want to run from. It's what it remains me of. Sol, Lord sereno and so many of my friends and family died that day. People I grow up with and went to school with it hurts to think about" She said quietly.

You've already accepted and made peace with it."

Astra just stares at him. Blinking for a moment. What he said made sense but she did not want to accept it. " Why? Why did they love me? Lord sereno risked so much so I could become a Jedi. And Sol was beside me every step of the way. Sure the other nobles in my family teased me because I had been adopted it was usually good-natured fun." She could not stop the tears this time and she tried to wipe them away quickly with her sleeve. " Since that day it's like time stands still. It just hurts to think about. I cent even eat meat anymore because I can't handle being reminded if him. It hurts to remember. It's physically painful why?" She said all if this coming from her as if a flood gate had been opened.

Like metal forged in fire, the pain of your past shapes who you are today. Embracing it makes you stronger, while running from it makes it a crippling weakness."

Astra lets durro hug her. She practlicly bairys her face into Durro's shoulder crys for several minutes. Eventually, she calms down. She looks at him for a moment befor returning his hug. " thank you master. I feal better now" She said braking the hug and backing away.

Hadaza walks in to see them as well. She can tell that Astra has been crying, but says nothing.
"Master Thel-Tanis. Your Highness", she bows formally to them both.

"Something smells good!", she says as she wrinkles her nose

"Oh, I think everyone's coming to peace with the last few months. Years, in some cases."
"Hadaza. I hope you don't mind; I made you breakfast instead of dinner. Have a seat, I'll go and get it."
He turns and walks back into the kitchen area to retrieve the food from the warmer.

Astra gives durro a look as if to say see I told you so. Then smiles at Hadaza and Tesara. " Good morning Hadaza im glad to see you looking better" She said with a smile. She sines to Tesara " Lest just say Durro sigesting I embrace Hadaza calling me Highness and it lead to a difficult conversation and reminder of the past."

" I'm fine really it was just an emotional conversation. I was and still am a bit  uncomfortable with Hadaza calling my highness. Though I did ask her not to she has continued. I don't really want to push the issue with her as I know she is kinda Unstable. Master suggesting I embrace it. Which lead to me explaining why I don't like being reminded of my heritage. But im ok now and Hadaza can call me highness if she wishes" She said a little embarrassed.

Tesara smiles warmly at Astra.  "I think her opinion of you has shifted now.  Everyone changes and everyone changes their minds about things.  Free Will, yes?  You know the Force has put us together on this path for a reason.  Hadaza has no memories whatsoever to base any of her words or actions on.  She is adrift and only now finding her feet."  She chuckles.  "In hyperspace no less.  And you?  You have all of your memories intact and they follow you like ghosts.  Let me ask you, Astra....imagine for a moment that the swarm is totally defeated.  No more danger to the galaxy.  You return victorious to Baklid.  What then?  What do you want to do when the swarm is defeated and you return home?  Who will that Astra BE?"  She asks gently.

Tesara smiles again.  "Before I answer that question, I want to ask you something else.  You don't want to join the Coruscant Order.  You don't want to join the Olavan Order.  So...can you be a Jedi without an order to call home?  Or maybe...just maybe You begin and create your own Order.  With all of the ideals and morals you hold dear.  Just think on it."  She smiles, then looks thoughtfully back at the kitchen.  "I will do something along the same lines.  Not a Jedi order, but my own tradition. My own Force Alliance.  Who knows, maybe your order and my alliance will work together."  She smiles a little wistfully.

" I don't want part in either order. I think I would prefer to create my own but I don't know that I could lead something like that you know. It would be really cool if that happens for our orders to work together." She said with a smile. Astra looked out to the dining area where Hadaza was. " while our circumstances are different I understand what she's going throw. I want to help her if I can" she said. Then looked back at Tesara. " we have to make it throw the coming sworm first" she said with a smile.

Swarm first, Orders and Alliances later.  And yes, Hadaza is struggling, but like you she is strong.  She is stubborn and determined and I don't give those damn bugs against all of us together."  She grins.  "How's Jedi training going with Durro?  Learned anything new from what you'd already been taught on Soreno?"

" I learned some new lightsaber forms though I spent most of it so far in meditation" she said totally distracted she took her lightsaber from her belt and held it out for Tesara to look at. " how have you been " she asks definitely eager to catch up.

"Oh those blades the Priloc had....stunning and SO USEFUL.  I wish I had a way of getting some.  A little differently shaped of course - I don't have four arms.  I love my bow and arrows for ranged attacks but to have something like that for close contact fighting would be good.  I don't have a lightsaber anymore."

Tesara puts the little talisman back inside her shirt where it lies between her breasts.  "I did consider it, but honestly, I don't think I will.  Lightsabers are tradition for the Jedi.  I can have other weapons powered by my kyber crystal.  Likely not until after we have done with the swarm as they eat that energy emitted by the Lightsaber."

" Yes, I am though I did have an idea you know how I can send images to people it was a trick the hunters thought me. They use it to communicate and call for help quickly perhaps we can adapt it for our purposes. That is if You Hadaza, and Durro wanted to learn it. And if the professor is ok with it would could send such messages to him as well thought he would not be able to respond. We could at least worn him of danger you know" Astra said with a smile.

She know this was practice so she would not ignite the deadly wepion. but she could use it in other ways. She reached out to the force to enhance her seances.
