(OOC: This In-Between Takes place after Durro and Astra leave the rest of the party behind and arrive on the strange Force World.

The air sits heavy on this world, stepped in the darkside. From the very first footsteps, both Durro and Astra knew that this was a world of dark shadows despite its bright colours. Strange creatures flew across the sky, greeting the pair of Jedi as they walked calmly from their shuttle. Or maybe the creatures were warning of the two trespassers. Bright and illuminous planets rose up from bluish crystal-like dirt. Large clusters of bluish crystals raise up from the ground. As they pass, the crystals appear to glow and seem to almost whimper.
The pair quickly found themselves in a village created from crystals used to create the walls and the roofs of these simple huts. The people of this strange village were bipedal in nature, standing between one and half meters, to two meters in height. They had large cat like ears on their heads and long bushes tails. Colourful fur dotted their faces and body. Their eyes were large and curious, though that was the extend of it. They kept their distance from the two new arrivals. The colours of these creatures varied widely.
Finally, one of the elders moved forward, “greetings travellers. It has been years since someone has found their way here.” To their surprise, the creature spoke in basic.

"Greetings. I'm Durro Thel-Tanis, and this is Astra; my companion. Thank you for the warm welcome."
He glances around at the others, all keeping a wary distance.

Looking closely at them, the elderly creature steps forward and sniffs them each deeply. He goes as far as even touching their hair, Astra's in particular.
"Why have you come to this place," he asked holding Astra's hair in his paw.

As Durro was watching and listening, Astra could tell that these beings appeared to be slight voids within the Force.
It didn't take Durro long to pick up on Astra's discovery and sense it for himself.

Astra noded in agreement. " yes we were lead here to learn what we can" she said. She gave Durro a look then looked to the elder. She half wondered why he was holding her hair but felt it best not to react or ask at this point in time.

He smiled as he continued to move his hands through Astra's hair, "so you see the Hidden Library of the Dark Lord of the Fortress.
He turned to Durro as he brought the lower part of her hand to his face and rubbed it along his cheek. "Or perhaps something much more, the Well of Eternity."
He smiled and laughed slightly, "many have come, only few have left the Fortress." Tilting his head to the side, "maybe you will meet some of them on your journey."

"I find myself intrigued by the Well of Eternity." Durro agrees. "Though a hidden library could be interesting as well."

He turned to face Astra, as he stood very close to her, "it is told that the Well of Eternity is the window in to all things that has happened, is happening and will happen."
Laughing, the elderly man turned to Durro while he continued to hold Astra's long red hair, "He is Tzeenth, the Master of Fortune, the Changer of Ways, Architect of Fate, the Great Conspirator, God of Lies, deception and all that is."
He tilted his head, "what else would you like to know?"

he made a sound, and motioned to the village, "we are servants of the Dark Lord, protector of his domain."
turning back to Astra, "he does, for over five thousand years, he has called this world home."
turning back to Durro, "He has created all that you see. Far better and more impressive than any Jedi." His tone was smug and offered no anger or hatred.

The man finally let go of Astra's hair, "by all means Jedi." he said in a deep tone, "anyone is welcome to venture to the Fortress."
He turned to Astra, "many have gone, few have returned."
Turning back to Durro, "it is our task handed down by our Lord, to help those like you onward to the Fortress."
He smiled broadly revealing a great number of razor sharp teeth in two rows. "We are forbidden to stop anyone who wishes the journey," he added.

"Sounds like a warm, welcoming fellow." Durro says to Astra with a grin. "Perhaps people stay because of how darn good the tea and cakes are."
He gestures towards the Elder.
"Lead the way then, Catman. What is your name, by the way? I'd be really surprised if it's Catman."

Astra relaxes a bit glad to that the stranger had stopped playing with her hair. " thank you for that worning " She said gently.
" Yes master perhaps." She said looking to durro then back to the stranger.
" We did not identify ourselves as jedi how did you know we were jedi" she asked a cerous look on her face.

Still grinning, "I am called slave," he said softly. Waving a hand in a wide arc, "we are all called slave by the Dark Lord."
He held up a hand, "if you wish the journey, than you must know the rule."
Not giving anyone a chance to speak he continued, "As you enter, that is the only way you both can leave."

"Slave? That's no way to treat your staff; I'll have a word with the Dark Lord." Durro says indignantly. He claps the Elder on the shoulder and says,
"I'll put in a good word for you; Lowiikot. That's your name; because you deserve a better name than 'Slave'."
"So what I'm hearing is that we must leave by the same door we entered? Is that custom, or OCD?"

He smiles still, and now others start to approach from their places of hiding. Each smiling and showing their teeth, "that is, if you survive the crystal labyrinth."
He turned to Astra, "fear not, no demon or monster will harm you within. The Dark Lord employs no such defenders of his domain."

Turning back to Durro, "but if you do survive the crystal labyrinth, and the fortress, you might find our master, The Dark Lord, gazing in to the Well of Eternity, as he has for eons."

He turned to face his people, "we have two new offerings to the Dark Lord of the Fortress!"
The local people started to cheer.
He turned to Durro and Astra, "your path," he said pointing through the village, "follow the path to the Labyrinth, and then through the Labyrinth to the Fortress. If you are lucky and insane enough, to the Dark Lord himself."

He gestures to Astra.
"Come along, then! Shall we go meet this Dark Lord?"
He sets out, eyes roaming the village, drinking in every detail.

The elder man gave Astra a nod, "for the prosperity of our village, and our own good fortune, I hope we do not see you again."
The villagers, old and young all come out to cheer Durro and Astra as they move through the village. Some even gift them with beautiful necklaces woven in crystals.
On their lips were, "parish well."
