Torn, Guilt and Rage….
(OOC: Yes I know this is short but it is filled with a lot of emotions and reflects Rebecca's emotional state during the end parts of the last game. I feel its important that this is expressed.)

Torn, Guilt and Rage….
By Rebecca

Rebecca half drugged half carried a limp Richard down the stairs in to the Tass room. Fear gripped her heart as she worked him towards the large pillar of Tass. Moving him alone was no easy task for her but she struggled anyway. “His mind was just there” she said in confusion as she worked him closer toward the pillar of Tass. While she was smaller than Richard, she used her legs to move him along the floor towards the pillar of Tass. A feat that she was proud of. A few weeks ago moving Richard like this wouldn’t had been possible for her. But thanks to her conditioning and training, it was a bit easier for her to achieve this task alone.

“I knew bringing that Vampire here was a mistake. I told Simon we couldn’t control the demon.” She mumbled as she carefully set Richard down next to the pillar. She looked at his hair and knew how much Richard took pride in the way he appeared to others. She gently brushed his hair with her fingers till she was sure it would be acceptable by him. As her anger filled her mind she felt the cramping that had been bothered her since they got back from the bunker.

Rebecca pushed the sensation from her mind as she focused on the task at hand. She didn’t know why she brought him here, but she felt like she had to do something. ‘Batter than making a god-damn sandwich’ she thought harshly of Simon’s detachment of the crisis at hand. With Richard at the base of the pillar of Tass, Rebecca called out as loud as she could. “BOB!” she waited for a moment before yelling again. “BOB WE NEED YOU” she yelled out again for help and added again as loud as she could, “BOB PLEASE HELP US!”

She waited a bit longer unable to think clearly hoping that Bob or whatever his name was would show up. Rebecca never used the Tass before but from what Kira and Richard told her that it was possible for them to summon someone. She had seen the Tass work just a few hours ago as Bob defeated Unity in seconds and showed himself to them. “Why isn’t this working!” she questioned as she touched the pillar wondering if that was how it was activated. “BOB Please!” she half whimpered half attempted to yell. Her mind raced, ‘how does this stupid thing work’ she questioned.

‘Idiot!’ Rebecca cursed herself as her heart filled with a wave after wave of different emotions. “BOB!” she called out again as her anger began to push the other emotions aside and threatened her control. ‘Why’ she questioned herself then spoke as she looked down at Richard, “why did I leave you alone with that moron?” She turned her attention back towards the Tass as guilt filled her heart and rage filled her mind. She didn’t want to see the source of her guilt, so instead she let out a scream, “GOD DAMNIT BOB! You can show yourself at your damn convenience but when we need you” she yelled lashing out at the large pillar of Tass. “Where are you……” The large pillar of Tass didn’t seem moved by her anger or her words.

She wanted to unleash all of her anger at the large pillar. She wanted to reach up in to the heavens and grab the attention of those puppet masters who rule in the clouds. She wanted to be angry at someone, anyone, but the truth was she was angry with herself. Richard was hurt because she choose to leave him alone with Simon. She should had been there to protect them. She didn’t know what happened but she knew having the Vampire in the sanctum was a big mistake. Tears filled her eyes as turned and looked down at Richard.

There he laid on the ground unmoving because of her departure. Because of her actions. Guilt overwhelmed her as she felt completely helpless to fix what she felt she caused. With a heavy breath her knees gave out from underneath her, causing her to fall to her knees on the floor. She braced her fall with her left hand carefully avoiding hitting Richard’s unconscious body. “You ask me to back you up and I failed you” she said as she gave in to her guilt and sadness instead of her anger. Her heart poured forth her naked emotions as she dropped her head down. Unable to stop her heads fall, she flopped downward and rested her head on his chest.

Rebecca simply didn’t know what else to do, “I am sorry Richard………” she cried with genuine tears filled with regret over what she had allowed to happen. Never in her life had she ever felt so completely helpless, so completely powerless….So completely saddened. For as long as she knew Richard, he had always been there to lead her a helping hand. No matter what the crisis or the odds, he was the first one to step forward and speak up. However when he needed her, she was helpless to do anything. “I don’t know how to help you…..and because of me, your mind is gone, lost……” tears filled her eyes and washed down on to his shirt. Somehow that vampire, that demon, had taken his mind from them. Even in death that monster had powers that she was unable to stop. “I’m sorry……” she quietly whimpered

Then out of the blue came Kira’s voice over the intercom. It was unexpected for Rebecca to hear from Kira so soon. ‘Had she found Richard so fast?’ Rebecca thought as she answered the intercom, “Yes?” Rebecca brushed the tears from her eyes and tried to dry the damp parts of his shirt that her tears had fallen upon. She didn’t want anyone to see her so out of emotion control like this. But Rebecca doubted that she could hide her emotion state from sister. It was a last ditch effort that she tried in placing his hand on the Tass. ‘Just maybe……’ she thought but the only thing that happened was Kira walking in to the room.
