Quinn Finally Calls Astra 11/11/2021

Quinn smiled and shook his head, “I won’t father. I will be mindful of the Force and of her mental state.” He half thought of telling his father about the vision he saw in the pool while Mind Walking. Instead, he chose not to. “Shall we go,” he asked his father. The elder Vos frowned as he turned to return with Master Jaylynn. His face reflected the concern for his son that seeped into his voice. Quinn paused for a moment as he watched the two most influential men in his life walk on. As the two men walked, Quinn slipped further back and took advantage of the presence of a Triade. He pulled out his comlink and dialed in Astra’s number. He breathed a sigh of relief when the link was created.
He smiled just thinking of her, as he waited for the link to be created. It had been too long since he spoke to her and now, in just a few weeks he was going to be back in her arms. He couldn't wait!
The Comlink chimed as the link was established
"Hello Astra," he said softly waiting to hear her voice.

We are securing her and am about to return to Republic space." He paused, "I am good. The hunt was long, longer than most. But I am good. How are you?"

" Its a little complicated there was and accident on Launius and i tried to negotiate for peace between The ORA and baklid witch failed spectacularly, and now Master Thel-Tanis and I are leaving Starlight to fallow some leads on the Famaly and the swarm. There's something far more dangerous then the ORA coming Quinn i saw it in visions oh and i want mind walking did you know that's a thing?" She said she was definitely troubled and unsure of the decision to leave Baklid.

Quinn didn’t take long to answer, "I wish I could help but I am a Hunter, such matters are in the hands of a the Councilor Team assigned to her case."
He frowned as he spoke in to the comlink, "so you are not on Baklid?"

" No im not on baklid, I headed back to starlight. Like I said earlier I went with Ava on a rescue mission to Lanous. I was affected by the force there on the planet and woke up on the Jupiter one. From there Tesara took me to get help from Master Palestinian, we discovered that he is no longer part of the olivon order. Ava then sent me to negotiate with Olivon for peace which failed. She instructed us to lay low and not return until things calmed down on Baklid. I chose to visit StarLight with Master Thel-Tanis as Tesara had to return to Lanous on a rescue mission, and the last time I had set foot an Lanous it ended badly" She said calmly. She chose to keep the five force ghost a secret for now. She could not be sure who in Quinn's pack might be listening to his call.

He frowned at the long drawn out answer to his simple yes or no question. "Well, I am still in the Unknown Regions, on some world. I don't know how long I will have access to a Hyperspace Triade. So I will keep this short, once I get within the Republic and where I can contact you, just let me know where you are and I will meet you there. We were able to recover the stolen Delphinium Kyber Crystal. It is my mission to return it to you."

" She said unsure. What else to say or how else to respond.

He laughed, "Astra, we are blood hounds, no one messes with us." There was a slight paused, "anyway, we are several days from Republic space. And I think our ship burned up something cause I know it didn't take that long to get here. Still," he said with light hearted voice, "I can't wait to see you again. I miss our pool side chats with Tesara."

He calmed down his laughter a bit, "the past few weeks had been nothing short of one long work day. Being on the hunt takes one hundred percent of a persons focus. " Yah im not sure what to make of the Delphinium Legacy Crystal. But it means I get to see Quinn. In all honesty the crystal Belongs to my mother I think. You know unlike the Dooku Crystal only one master has bonded with that one if the stories are correct. Though. I already have a legacy kiber crystal I don't know of any jedi who have two of them." she said. She was still happy even though she was trubbled about the sudden appearance of the Delphinium crystal. " I wonder how the Darksider got ahold of it" she mused.

" I am growing tired of masters who think they know best. Masters who don't see or understand me." She shook her head. " I never left the order master Thel-Tanis. I do not technically have a master but I never left and after the disaster of a conversation with master Vos, I'm not sure I want another master from the order. There's more than one path to becoming a jedi knight. That is sumthing I have seen from watching you and Tesara. You may not be a part of the order but I still consider you to be a jedi master. I respect you master I have not decided if I trust you yet but I trust you more than any other master iv spoken to." She said. She did not want her path decided for her again. And she did not want another master from her order. She was not sure she wanted Master Thel-Tanis to train her yet. There was so much she was unsure of.
" Master I don't agree with my order at the moment, a vast majority of them seem blind to me it's as if they don't care the carbinight part of the prison is a good example of that. How can they just give up on people like that? You only truly fail if you quit trying I believe there is always hope someone can come back from the dark side. People are not horrible by nature." She smiled at him.

Astra blinks she nodded understanding. " Thank you, Master," she said finally. She took several deep breaths closing her eyes. She thought for a moment what did she want.
If she retuned to the order her life would be decided and dictated by the jedi counsel and she did not want that. She could return to Baklid rase Roza and walk away from this mess with the swarm. She shook her head. No, she did not want that, and it felt wrong like putting Roza in danger. She could continue on her current path after the swarm and the family learn what she could of the force from him.
" Master?" She said finally. " I think I prefer to stay on this path looking into the family. As much as I wish to rush home to Roza I know that's not the right direction. I get the feeling if we don't learn what the sworm is soon it may be to late for the Galaxy, so many people will die horrible painful deaths. Tesara and I talked a bit ago and we have a thery about the storm. How it may be connected" Astra said calmly.

Astra smiles and follows " Tesara saw the swarm in hyperspace Ryan is calling it a space dick. She also found Aneta she is a seer like I am and had a vision when Tesara saw here. Tesara said she had a vision there were two things she said that stood out about the swarm. The force is the key and you must take my sight. What coughs my attention was the statement that the force is the Key." she said pausing. She put her arm up infront of Durro to stop him.
"What if what's going on with all the fighting is what is drawing them to us like they are a precures to the family's?" She asked. She looked around "this is not something we want the other Jedi hear right now. Any way the galaxy is already at war and fear and anger have been and are speeding quickly what if that is attracting there attention" she said.

"It sounds to me like a natural part of life." Durro says softly.
"I spent 19 years on a jungle planet. Every year, at the height of the dry season, fires would break out and consume portions of the jungle. Portions where the trees were overcrowded, strangled by the encroaching growth around them, but so thick that nothing new could grow. A fire would come through and reduce most of the area to ash. Then, by the end of the wet season, the new growth would be springing back, and within a decade, you could barely tell a fire had been through at all."
"The galaxy is like the dying jungle; past its time and overcrowded, choking out all new life. Preventing attempts at change and adaptation. Sometimes, a cleansing fire is necessary for the continuation and preservation of life. The Swarm, and The Family, may be the fire to our jungle."

"Master how can you say that? The people of the galaxy are not the plants of a jungle. Prescribing to such destruction is like giving up on them. They can still change I believe in the people of the galaxy, I Believe there is still good in the people there's still hope. The answerer to this cant be as simple as laying down and lettings this happen. Even if this is a hopeless fight Master I will still fight to change to stop the swarm." She said calmly. She was not angry but it was clear that she did not agree with Master Palatines beliefs.

You're like a tree who has decided that fire has burned its last tree; that the jungle can recover and thrive without the cleansing flame."
"Death is a natural part of life. There can be no life without death, nor creation without destruction. Without darkness, light is meaningless. Remember when I said knowledge is a curse? This is a prime example. We know what's coming, our instinct is to stop it, and yet we know in our hearts what's coming is natural and necessary. Sometimes the hardest thing we can do as Jedi is to follow the Will of the Force, to allow nature to take its course."

Astra shook her head. " No master I do not but the questions we seek answers to are not easy to answer and are not simple. Do you think the animals you eat simply accept there fate and let themselves be killed or do you think fight to survive and live? Why should the people of the galaxy not do the same. What even is the will of the force master can one truly know what it is?" She asked turning her head sideways. She was completely calm unlike when she had this same conversation with Master Palpation. Once again lessoning intently trying to understand what Master Thel-Tanis was saying to her. The look on her face made it clear she was trying to and wanted to understand.

"All life struggles to continue its existence. Even plants." Durro smiles slightly. "Yes, the plants you eat instead of meat were once living too. Life feeds on life, hence the fact that life cannot exist without death. Plants and animals die so that we may live, and eventually we will die and feed something else. Death gives life, which itself eventually dies. It's a cycle, a balance. If our time has come we can struggle, yes. Fight to continue our existence, but do you want your actions compared to that of a simple animal? We are capable of reason, and have a gift that allows us to understand the Force, they key to all life, in a way few can. We are cursed with knowledge; we see our own destruction coming and can either run from it, fight it, or accept it. All life is precious, but life left unchecked will eventually indulge itself to death, then life itself ceases to be. The Force 'understands' this, has built in a mechanism to wipe the slate clean. Like the fire in my example, without which the entire forest chokes to death."
"Of course, after a cleansing fire, the jungle does return. There are many plants whose seeds are 'activated' by intense heat. The ashes and decaying remains provide food for the survivors and decedents who repopulate the area. Like Roza, for example, or the person who was raising her in your vision. Life will go on, the galaxy will recover. It's a great catastrophe, but one that may not be preventable. Or if it is, preventing it may do more harm in the long run. A true Jedi acts only in a way that maintains balance. If The Swarm is meant to be, if it's a natural part of the cycle of life and death, then who are we to decide it must be stopped?"

" I see but it still seams wrong like something that would come from the dark side. But then perhaps there are flaws in what I was thought. So are you saying we should not protect the people? this is not what we were taught. we learned to live in harmony with the force and things around us but we are Jedi and were also thought that we should protect the galaxy from the Dark side of the force. Is this another one of those unlearn what you were thought situations?" She said quietly. She was still contemplating what durro had said. " iv been told several times not to change the flow of the force but I still don't understand what that is or how that's even possible it must be possible thought because Lord Delfphe and Lord Hoth did it if I'm to believe what you have told me of your galaxy. Not that I'm actually going to try and change the flow of the force I'm just trying to understand" She said finally.

Durro smiles reassuringly at her.
"I believe it is a case of 'unlearning what you have learned.' Let me ask you this; is fire evil, and of the Dark Side? Are the forces of decomposition and decay the forces of darkness? The Jedi serve balance, but in order for life to exist, there must be death. Creation is only possible after destruction. We only recognize the day because the night is so dark. The Swarm may be a natural occurrence, the mechanism by which the Force cleanses itself, the destruction and decay after life has run its course. It's not the end of all things, just the end of things as we know it."
The corner of his mouth twitches up in a half smile.
"I understand the confusion. My own master tried to teach me this lesson, when I was a little older than you are. The last lesson, the last interaction I had with my master, she asked me 'Can you change the river's flow?' I answered, 'Of course we can. Any culture with even simple technology can build dams and dig canals. Send the river where it is needed.' My master agreed, and said 'We ask whether we can change the river's flow, but no one ever asks if we should.' It took me years to understand what she meant but I understand now and that question applies quite nicely here. There likely is a way to stop The Swarm, to thwart The Family. The question isn't whether we can, but whether we should. That is what I am investigating. That is what I intend to find out."

Astra Glared at Durro suddenly. " how can you believe that and stupid Jedi girl would go right along with you. Why the hell did my people have to die! " you know she does have a point what if the appearance family and the women are en end to all life like on Ashanti's world would it still be wrong to stop them then. " Astra asked.
" I agree we need to learn more before acting but if there is no more life left after the family comes then all the Galaxy would be completely dead like Ashanti's home" she added.

No she could not remain silent in that situation and she could not just watch as hundreds died. " Saba's people may have been freed but who is to say they would not have freed themselves in time. Then there is Kiki's people now gone nothing but runs in the mountains of Baklid Six." Astra shook her head she could see what Durro was saying but it still seemed off to her. " I can see what your trying to say but again something just does not add up here, we are missing important information" she added finally.

"As for Master Marr, she was Miraluka. I'm not sure if she was a seer, but the Miraluka have a connection to the Force that most other beings don't, even other Jedi."
