Tea with the professor 11/4/2021
Tesara Anerin — 11/04/2021
@Professor Kenobi
Tesara is frowning now, considering all he has said. He’s eccentric as hell, and slightly mildly infuriating in the way he speaks, but they might be able to help each other. She takes a brief moment and reaches out with the force to seek its Will.

(OOC: @Tesara Anerin @Professor Kenobi
Sorry guys, didn't realize you two were waiting on me. While they are cute, Tesara, if you two wish, go on and clean up the thread.)
Tesara can feel the Force flowing around her and this strange Professor. But there is a noticeable absence at the table. A sensation that Tesara cannot mistake. For this strange man, his aura matches in rhythm as Tesara’s own.
Tesara Anerin — 11/05/2021
((My apologies, today was a nightmare day - just finished working at 8:15pm!)))
Tesara feels the force and what it whispers, and it both surprises her and does not. She knows that her heart desires to go help her chosen sister is strong, but the Force obviously wants her here, on Dubrillion, with this Professor. She glances down at her nearly empty mug of tea and sighs. "I will message Durro and ask him to send me the pictures he took on that planet he and Astra went to. That may help." She said. "But I don't know how far away it is, or if you would merely want to see and continue on to your original destination."

steeples his fingertips, relaxing somewhat now that the charming young mind was searching knowledge and expertise from him. This was a familiar feeling and put him back into his comfort zone. He knew not why she appeared constipated for a few moments, figuring the tea was there to settle her stomach. He took a sip and placed an order for more. "Do so. I have no end destination set for the Outer Realms as of yet. That, and your swarm could be the link I am missing."
Tesara Anerin — 11/05/2021
Tesara held up a hand to the waiter and smiled, pointing at her mug. He smiled back and nodded, then she turned to him. "Professor, how long have you been studying this?"
@Professor Kenobi
Professor Kenobi — 11/05/2021
leans back while staring up at the sky-ceiling. "My dear, it became an obsession during my first papers for college. I became enthralled with what I feel to be the most important galactic event that we brush over. The precusors to our civilization have rose and fell with nary a notice!"
Tesara Anerin — 11/05/2021
"Well that's accurate. I never even learned of the whole thing until recently. It is a giant puzzle which we only have a few key pieces for, and no timeline whatsoever as to WHEN this is happening. If we had an idea of when, we could prepare as we learn more."
@Professor Kenobi
Professor Kenobi — 11/05/2021
"When is never the answer. That is the problem with most Archeaologists who want to know time. Time is not relavent. It is critical mass. It is a population that triggers. Where is the Center? Who is the Enemy? What is the reason? How do they do it? These are relevant. When? Soon."
ponders this with a bit of an amused expression. "How wide is the net you can cast with the Force?"
Tesara Anerin — 11/05/2021
"Soon." She repeats with a sigh. "Soon could be tomorrow or in a year." She thanks the waiter bringing her a new mug of tea and sips it. "I'm not sure, actually. I believe it would depend upon the amount of concentration I put into it and which skill I focus on using. Why do you ask?"
@Professor Kenobi

rolls shoulders. "Hence the urgency. I have reached the time when I am capable of taking a grand excavation adventure. Gathered the funds as it were to dash forward. As for my question, that is simple. Can you read the entire universe?"
@Tesara Anerin
Tesara Anerin — 11/05/2021
She laughs a little. “I’m afraid not, Professor. But I do think you should use some of those funds you mentioned to purchase a new ship. The one you…” She hesitates, trying to find a diplomatic way to say it, “Arrived on is in quite bad shape. It would be very unfortunate indeed if you were to find yourself stranded somewhere if that old clunker gives out on you.” She says with the hint of a grin.
@Professor Kenobi
Professor Kenobi — 11/05/2021
let out a cackling sound, whistle and weeze. "Now lass, that's a fine suggestion. However, that old Rust bucket was meant for me to get where I was going. I believe in the force after all, it's not reserved solely for my Nephews. Running into you was a sign I feel. As for the attempt...how many force aware would it take in one area to cast out and survey how many people there is even more than a census?"
Tesara Anerin — 11/05/2021
She looked surprised at this idea. “ i’m not sure actually. But I might be able to find out.” She peered at him. “Your nephews… are they Obi-Wan and Sol Kenobi?”
Professor Kenobi — 11/05/2021
eyes narrowed slightly. "Depends, do they owe you money?"
Tesara Anerin — 11/05/2021
She nearly choked on her tea. “No, professor. But I do have the unfortunate job of telling you that Sol died in the cathedral bombing on Baklid almost 2 years ago now.”
Professor Kenobi — 11/05/2021
gave a long slow blink. He stood up and excused himself. "Would you mind...waiting here a few moments?" Grief covered his face, turning it away from his companion.
Tesara Anerin — 11/05/2021
Tesara only nodded and watched him leave. She wondered if the professor had known that his nephew had a daughter. She thought of Roza, safe on Baklid with Ava and Nova. She would wait here to see if he returned to give him what information she had.
Governor Ava Forma — 11/06/2021
Ava sends Tesara the following message: ' Due to recent developments of new information I aquired. Do not go to raxus prime, I dont have the clearance nor know anyone who would allow you to land. Going there will cause them to attack and blow up the Jupiter 1 once you guys exit hyperspace. If you haven't left I would suggest just staying on Dubrillion. Am going be doing everything in my power to help Astra. '
Professor Kenobi — 11/06/2021
would come back, face lined and still covered in the moisture of a proper splashing or two. Eyes were blue and watery. "Thank you Tesera for being the Herald of bad news. I appreciate it. Hopefully he died well, doing what he loved."
Tesara Anerin — 11/06/2021
((sorry I should’ve answered Ava‘s text before seeing professors post)))
.
Tesara sighs heavily at Ava‘s message. It wasn’t as if she was on her way to Raxus prime right now anyway, but it was certainly good to know that Ava had informed her of the danger she would’ve encountered has she done that. As much as it pains her not to be able to help her chosen sister in her time of desperate need, but it was also strikingly obvious that this was where the Force wanted her to be. She would have to trust Durro that he would get Astra out of this situation. After that maybe they could join up with her and the professor on their quest. She knew that she would be going with him but she prayed silently that they could take the Jupiter One and not that rust bucket he was using. She also understood with simple clarity that the presence that had been missing when she reached out to the force was Durro himself. And of course, always there in the back of her mind, there was Jack. She closed her eyes and breathed through her fear. As she opened her eyes, she saw the professor returning to the table.
“Yes, and no. He was where he wanted to be, as a Jedi beside master Dooku. The cathedral bombing killed them both. Astra was not with him at the Cathedral at the time, that is the mother of his child. She is a dear friend of mine.” She said kindly. “although I never got to meet Sol, I know that he was a good man”

cants his head looking inquisitive. "A child? A mother? There's more to this story then?" He sat back down. Hand trembled whilst grasping the cup. Pausing for a moment to steady his hand, he tried against a bit more successfully and took a sip. Carefully not clicking his teeth, though the distraction had trickled liquid down the front of his suit. The professor was distraught but focusing by distracting himself with the details.

Tesara Anerin — 11/07/2021
Tesara smiled a little sadly. "Yes, a daughter. Her name is Roza, named after a childhood friend of hers and Sol's at the Sorreno academy. He loved her very much." She said, not wishing to burden him more with everything else happening in Astra's life. "Someday, when we have solved the mystery of this purge and survived it, we'll go to Baklid where Roza is so you can meet your grand niece." She said calmly.
@Professor Kenobi
(((FYI am going to bed so will likely reply tomorrow)))
Professor Kenobi — 11/08/2021
took a long sip. "That day will surely come. I've got a feeling in these wizened bones that all our answers will come to fruition shortly. In truth, my fear is that we're starting the race blindfolded and knee capped. We may yet fail unless we embrace the madness of potential." He cleared his throat. "Yes yes. It is settled. I shall join you in solving this problem, with my companion HandyMan Botler. In this we shall solve the purge, save the universe, and say hello to my Grand Neice."
@Tesara Anerin
Tesara Anerin — 11/08/2021
"Botler, is that your droid?" She asks. "Is there anyone else traveling with you? I think we have to make a plan, and a part of that is contacting Durro to find out where he is and what is happening. I'll ask him to send me the pictures he has of that planet." She hesitated, not wanting to reveal anything about Astra's current situation. It grated on her, not being there. Durro would have to help her and she had to trust him to do so.
@Professor Kenobi
Professor Kenobi — 11/10/2021
@Tesara Anerin (mb mb, had a fever and sweat it out) "Botler is a fine, upstanding digital butler that has made my life a convient thing ever since he was won in a high stakes game of pazaak." The professors eyes twinkled slightly. "Where is Astra, the Mother?" He asked pointedly, getting the suspicious feeling from omission that Tesara was not linking some key details here. "Or let me guess at her fate. Is she the subject of your concern?" Would inquire.
Tesara Anerin — 11/10/2021
Tesara watches him closely, leaving a long moment of silence before responding. "Very astute, professor." She says quietly. "Yes, I am concerned about Astra. Her child is safe on Baklid with Governor Forma, but Astra is my dear friend; someone I consider like family so yes, I am unsettled at not being able to be there for her. However, I do have trust in Master Thel-Tanis to take care of her. Hopefully at some point they can join us in our search for information about the swarm and the purge." She says.
@Professor Kenobi
Professor Kenobi — 11/10/2021
@Tesara Anerin "Mmm. Reconisance. We need to brush up against the edge of the swarm and prove it's existance to the greater masses before we are the subject of the next purge. That implies that the swarm is responsibile, as I have never diseccted one. Those pictures will prove most fortitious, though my colleuges undoubtadly will classify them as errants unless we can prove the biology. Mmmm. This has been a good tea. Here is my contact code. If you choose to stay awhile or take up my services, contact me. In addition when you have the photos."
Tesara Anerin — 11/10/2021
She took his information, her brow furrowed. "Professor, you spoke of proof. Sadly even pictures could be scoffed at and deemed altered. If we went to this planet my friends visited and actually obtained one or more of the bodies of these giant insects, then proof would be much easier to provide." She looked at him. "Unfortunately, no one wants to listen to the person shouting 'FIRE'! because the idea of it is too much to bear. But it's easier when there is actual smoke."
@Professor Kenobi
Tesara Anerin — 11/13/2021
Tesara blinks in surprise as the professor turns and walks away. "What an odd man." She says to herself.
