Burning Geonosis Game Event (1-15-17)

When we last left our heroes, they had been forced to split up. Auro and Unna took an assault shuttle for Nal Hutta in hopes of finding Cordelia’s trail before a team of Knight-Wardens find her. Auro feared that if the Knight-Warden team found her, they would be forced to kill her without knowing the truth behind her actions.

While on Nal Hutta, Auro learned that the Knight-Warden team was led by Knight Biggs Saar and Lysire Chalco. Thanks to Lysire’s friendship with Unna, Auro was able to learn that their team was no closer to Cordelia who was now going under the name Vixen. Unfortunately, both teams left Nal Hutta empty handed. Still, knowing that he was even stepped with Biggs’ team brought a measure of comfort for Auro.

For Duncan and Ashla however, things were hardly uneventful. Taking the Vengeance, the group responded to a strange distress call from a passenger liner. Upon arrival at the location of the liner, the group discovered the ship lifeless. Duncan and Ashla led a boarding party over hoping to locate the cause for the deaths.

Once they boarded the ship, they quickly discovered that all the doors and hatches on the ship had been overridden in the open position. This caused the contents of the ship to be vented in to space. It was at this time that the boarding party heard a strange transmission, “Mommy……Daddy…..” The voice appeared to be that of a little girl.

Unable to triangulate the transmission, the group split up in hopes of locating the source of the strange transmission. Repeatedly, the transmission was heard until Duncan responded. It was then that the voice on the other end started to talk to Duncan as if he was her own father. It wasn’t long before Duncan found the source of the transmission, a small droid hiding in a steward’s cart.

To everyone’s surprise, this little droid was designed to look just like a blond hair little human girl. It was then that the party was attacked by three Commando Droids. However, these droids were much more dangerous than their contemporary counterparts. After dispatching the droids, our heroes fled the dead ship with their new charge.

Back on the Vengeance, the party learned much about the droid. She was created to mimic organic life in every way. However, the party were not the only ones’ learning. The little droid nicknamed Dey (after Demaya), had managed to hack her way in to the Vengeance’s mainframe and learn everything about Duncan. She slowly started to change her appearance to match what his own daughter would look like. In that, she started to resemble what Demaya had looked like at a similar age. A mystery that was not over looked by our party.

This little droid had been created by someone to assassinate the Chancellor of the Republic. Searching through the droid’s memories, they were able to see that this droid was created by members of the Jedi Grand Council. A clue that had to be false. Duncan couldn’t believe that his former Master, Master Dooku was capable of such an act. There had to be more.

The party followed the clues with Dey’s help and arrived at the Outer Rim world of Geonosis. Once they arrived at the world, the party took an Assault shuttle to the surface while the Vengeance hid in a sensor shadow. As the party followed the clues, they found hidden under one of the major cities a massive complex.

To Duncan and Ashla’s surprise, this complex was a massive copy of the Coruscant Temple. Confused and shocked, Duncan found his own room here within this copied complex. Though the copy was only skin deep. Duncan was able to figure out that the complex was created solely to fool someone looking in to the past through the force. Things were starting to make sense.

Duncan and Ashla made their way to the Grand Council Chamber of this copied complex. With Dey in tow, they found the chamber just like the one on Coruscant. Even the skyline was impossible to discern as a fake through observation. It was then that the doors opened up and Duncan was finally able to meet their host.

A Geonosisan hovered in to the room and behind him walked in a lovely woman dressed in black robes. For a moment, the party assumed that she was human with red hair. However, that observation was proven mistaken as her full image came in to view. Half of her face appeared to be rotten away showing her skull and muscle structure. She smiled as Ashle could see, through the force, massive clashes of light and dark side energies within the being.

As Duncan and Ashla face off with the mind behind this massive complex, what will come of them during this encounter. Will Auro and Unna be able to find Vixen before the Knight-Warden team does? Will the answer behind Dey’s unusual appearance be uncovered?

Admin: We will be meeting at 5:00pm. Due to my new work schedule, I am not available for early arrivals. Nor can we play much longer past 9:00pm. I am also still open to the idea of playing on Saturdays if anyone else is.
