Girl Talk 8/4/21
After every one had gone to bed astra stayed up unable to sleep. She wrote a leter to Sol and tryed to meditate. After an hour or so she had given up she did not want to wake Roza, or Tesara so she thought she would go see Ava. Maby she would be lucky and Ava was still up. She headed to the West wing and was stoped by the guards. she exsplaned she was looking for Ava. They took her to them with little fuss. "Ava are you up" she asked quietly.

Ava had just finished her new entry into her holo recorder. She had to admit having one of these was very useful. When one of her gaurds notified her that Astra was in the west wing and she told them to let her come. As she waited once she heard Astra's voice at the door she got up and walked over opening the door. " yes I am, good evening Astra. " her room was neat and tidy in a military faction. Expect for the chair she had left that was sideways with the holo recorder on the table. " is everything alright? "

Ava did have something to talk about that she just vented into the holo recorder. She nodded her head " alright come on in " thinking how silly to have this in the hallway would be. She assumed someone would let them know if Roza woke up.

Ava took an moment to collect herself. Keep herself calm as she looked at Astra. " Honestly, I would love to share stories and be more open about myself. But when I brought up my story about Nova. I kinda felt like it was disregarded by you and Tesara. Now don't get me wrong, I dont expect you two to start giggling about girls or anything. Just like you don't expect me, atleast I hope you don't expect me to giggle about boys. " giving a smile. " it bothered me though, I thought friends are supposed to be able to share things without feeling they are being judged or feel like they have to hide apart of themselves. Now I understand how am presenting nova. I need to fix that but I cant do it alone nova needs to take steps if she wants to be seen in a different light. " she softly spoke. " though i have a bad feeling that nova won't want to be in any light for awhile. "

Astra blinked a bit suprized. " im so sorry you felt that way I think I got distracted with Tesara's comments. you don't need to hide anything from me. I remember you said you and Nova we're a lot like Sol and I would love to hear your stories" She said. She looked absolutely horiffyed. She was it was not something she normally did.
"I guess my emotions got the better of me. I am really sorry about that" she said gently.

There was a look of relief on Ava's face as she motion for Astra to sit in a chair as she walked over and put the holo recorder away. As well as hanging the slug thrower on the wall like she usually did before she went to bed. As she walked over and sat down on her bed. " its alright, I understand. She did seemed upset by the stories. " she thought about it for an moment. " I guess I grew to worried to share my own. Nova was eight when she frist arrived at our home as a servant and I was eleven. She was so scared and seemed so alone. So I figured she needed a friend. So I got few pieces of twine and give her one and one for myself and told her that I actually wanted to be her friend and the twine was a symbol of our friendship. Kinda like a friendship bracelet. To this day we both still have our peices. "

" when Nova was eighteen and I was twenty one. We have been together for four years now. However nova wasn't my frist love interest. I had a crush when I was seventeen. A another girl at the academy. " giving a small grin.

Ava beamed a little " oh well her name was Jade and she had short red hair with the most beautiful purple eyes you ever seen. She was around the same age as me. I was going to ask her out but some boy beat me to the punch. Which probably saved me from embarrassment cause most likely she would said no if she only liked boys. "

Ava thought for an moment. " I was busy also with military training but its not uncommon. As long thire training comes first. They have to maintain a balance of order where they can have a relationship while in the academy. Though I avoided the possibility of a distraction when the boy asked her out i suppose. " she softly spoke.

Ava thought about it " I started the academy when I was seventeen and gratituded when I was twenty one. I suppose my first year there was abit interesting with the girl crush thing. But after event I buckel down and started forcing more on training than girls. Nova was there too only as a cook in my dorm. We had the most perfect exchange. Meals for books. She wanted to learn more. " she softly explained.

" I was a orphan at the Academy so I had to work twice as hard to get anyone to take me serenely only nobles get to be jedi Knights. So did you go to a normal school before the Academy?

"Not exactly, I went to a special school that my mother taught at . It was a private military school that prepares and trains students. So they will be ready to go to the academy. " she explained. Her entire life had been military training mostly. " I have to admit taking a break from it all was nice but I was also excited about the future that I earned though hard work. "

" started training? Let's see here mom teach me at the house when i was two til I was five. Frist it started out with fun games basic things like knowing how to communicate, speaking and not speaking by using hand motions. So when Nova started teaching me her sign language I was able to picked up on a few things quicker. Mother and father wanted to make sure I was ready for school when I turned five. "

Ava looked at the lightbringer and back to Astra. She was planning on using it in a life or death situation if orchard show up one of these days. If she had no other choice but to use it. " there is no safer place to be than with me, so yes. " not wanting to method there was atleast two others she knew that had this type of weapon. " though as you can see I took the time to reinvent it for its purpose. Its the light bringer not to be use on jedi. It's purpose is to defend myself should I ever be in a situation where I have no other choice but to use it. It will be my last resort should the time will ever come. After all it is not the weapon that makes the person. But the owner of the person, what thire actions do, which path they choice to go down. Unfortunately since was name, that awful name. I can only imagine its previous owners didnt care about the lifes they was taken when they was using weapons like these. "

" people use it for bad things, just how people use blasters, and other things for bad things. The weapon itself unless you are force sensitive can not make itself fire at someone. Even than it is the person using the force to make the weapon they are using to fire. She pointed at Astras lightsaber i know by stories those lightsabers can kill people as well. " she softly spoke. " however I also know it is the person using it that makes that choice. What makes a gun different than a lightsaber both are seen as weapons by some people. I used to see them like that before I meet durro than I fully understood another purpose they had. Bottom line is the gun is not choices to fire, nor is it the blade that choices to swing. It is the person who has the weapon that makes that choice. When that person choices to draw thire gun or blade. They are making that choice to use it and by doing that they understand that they may be taking the person's life when they do use it. The possibility of someone being killed when you use your weapon is always there. " she softly explained.

" yes I suppose your right. Can you blame me for feeling the way I do those guns were made to kill my kind. I saw someone die at the end of that weapon." She said. She took a deep breath. Ava listened as she thought for an moment. While she not understood it from a personal standpoint. She did understood where Astra's point of view was coming from. " I do understand Astra. " understanding her concerns. I did enjoy our conversations. However we have a big day tomorrow, unless there is anything else. We should try to get some sleep. "
