Cute Little Clones

[Unna Hi Chaanu]

In Baku, Unna and her friends had just acquired a new little friend. She was a Sarah clone, appearing to be 7 years old and programmed to clean, as well as be the cutest little greeter in the galaxy. She waved her way into their hearts, and now that they got her away from her purchaser, she would be their responsibility. She just wanted to clean, so Unna thought it was best to take Sarah to the already clean quarters that were provided in the palace.

Unna opened the door and saw Jenna's mother. "Hello, my name is Unna. I understand you are Jenna's mother. It is nice to meet you. I go to the academy with Jenna."

Jenna's mother, Ghitsa 'Aris, the mother of Jenna 'Aris turned to see Unna walking in to the room. She smiled as she always has and greeted her Lady. To a simple servant, Unna was a member of the Royal Court of Baku and deserving of proper respect.

The older Tew'Lek woman turned from her sweeping duties and nodded, "Yes My Lady." The woman was dressed in suitable clothing for a servant of the palace. She righted herself holding a broom, and gave Unna a soft bow, "Jenna is our pride and joy" she added as she bowed.

"There is no need to bow to me," Unna said with a warm and kind smile, and blushing due to ter fact that she was not used to this kind of treatment. "The mother of my wise classmate actually deserves my respect." Unna bowed in return.

"This room is already so clean," Unna marveled at the tidy quarters. "I actually came here, because I figured this little one wouldn't have anything to clean here. Please, have a seat. I am so happy to meet you." Unna sat down at the couch and motioned for Ghitsa to have a seat next to her.

Ghitsa nodded as she returned the smile, "Yes My Lady" she said as she walked over and set across from her. She had served Unna in the past and know that the young Jedi handled customs differently. "I shall put her to good use My Lady" she said not meaning any ill-will.

She blinked a moment before adding, "I don't need to be a Jedi to notice that wished to speak with me about something."

[Unna Hi Chaanu]

"Please, call me Unna," Unna insisted with a friendly smile. "I do not wish to have Sarah here put to good use, ma'am. I actually wanted to bring her somewhere that is already clean, so perhaps I could get her to focus on learning. I hope to teach her to do something other than chores. I see her as a child and would like for her to have a childhood." Unna paused to remember how quickly she had to grow up as a child living mostly on the go with her traveling family, but then how Master Nontho and Knight Passik insisted that she be a child once she arrived at the enclave. Unna decided to confide in Ghitsa. "I didn't have a childhood up until I was her age, but a Jedi took me in and taught me to be a kid. I like the idea of paying it forward."

"Well," Unna replied. "I am aware of where Jenna came from. I honestly could have never been able to tell based off of knowing her. You are very right to see her as your pride and joy. She is a remarkable young woman."

Ghitsa set there listening, "My Lady," she said ignoring the friendly request to set aside protocol. "We each have our place in society. This little clone, like me, are born to serve those like you." There was a friendly almost kind tone to her voice as she spoke. "I do not regret my place" she added placing a hand on Unna's lap. "And you shouldn't either" she said with a smile. "It is okay to teach her things. But we must not forget where we are."

She paused a moment not sure how to address Unna's next set of statements. There was almost a hint of fear in her eyes as she looked away. "I am not sure what you are speaking of" she lied not making eye contact. "But yes, Jenna is a remarkable young woman. Her father and I are both so proud of what she has become. To serve in the ranks of the Jedi will ensure that she will never have to serve like we do. Her hard work and training has made it possible for her to cast off the shackles of her family's status."

[Unna Hi Chaanu]

"Mrs. 'Aris," Unna replied with sincerity, "your secret is safe with me. Jenna has worked hard and deserves the place she is claiming for herself. She has become a leader at the academy. I won't expose the secret, but perhaps some day she will choose to be an inspiration for young little girls, such as Sarah. I just want to give Sarah the same type of opportunity. The Force is not in her, but she can still fight for a place for herself. I want to help her."

Ghitsa smiled as she deflected the conversation, "you have such a large heart. You remind of me of Lady Baku when she first arrived. She too had such high hopes and dreams of helping other."

She gave a soft nod as she continued to deflect the conversation, "I remember how bright her eyes were. I had never in my life seen such eyes as hers." She sighed heavily with sadness, "that was before the bombing . I don't think I will see her eyes filled with such hope ever again."

"Did you see Lady Baku give her speech? It was hopeful and inspirational, but sadly it didn't seem her administrator of the city council agreed. She was very proud of her speech. Maybe the light is beginning to return. It would be amazing if she accomplished all that she spoke of. Imagine what it would mean for people like Sarah. She would be able to become anything she wanted to be."

Unna smiled as she imagined how wonderful Baku would be if The Lady was able to execute her plans. Unna would probably never want to leave and Ghitsa wouldn't have to worry about keeping Jenna's identity a secret.

There was something dark locked away in Ghitsa's heart as she spoke. It was of this memory was linked to something very horrible for her. "I did hear it. It reminded me of the little girl Lady Baku used to be."

She actively tried to push the dark memory away with little success. "When she first tame to our city, she was so filled with happiness even though she didn't want to be here. She still tried. I often told Jenna of the stories of how courageous Lady Baku was during those first years."

She frowned as she continued, "but soon she stopped speaking of hope and change for the better of everyone. Soon she stopped smiling."

Ghitsa gazed in to Unna's eyes, "there was a darkness here in this place. It consumed that sweet girl"
