RE: Practice Practice Practice
"And how am I supposed to do this?" he asked her. She was showing what he needed to do, but what not how he was supposed to do it.

RE: Practice Practice Practice
With wave of her hand, the entire scene froze in time once more. "You see, yet you don't observe," Lysire said calmly. "You must learn to stop using your mind to see and focus on observing."

She motioned to Master Chin, and with that Duncan could see the echoes of the past. He saw a Cantina of some kind. It was filled with vile criminals and slavers. Standing next to Duncan was a man dressed in some strange old uniform. He was blind but could see through the Force. Duncan knew this man was Joff. No different than any other criminal in this place, with one exception. Joff hated the wealthy families of Coruscant. He specially targeted their children for his twisted revenge. Joff was a man of no honor or dignity, but he paid well. More importantly, he provided a steady stream of young slaves for a market that saw this as a delicacy."

"What you saw before was the after effect of a slight nudge in the direction that we desired," Lysire explained.

Duncan observed a ghostly echoed of a young childish girl, whom he knew to be one of the forms Lysire often took. This ghostly girl touched Joff's head and whispered, "he is here for you!"

In that moment, Joff saw Master Chun walking in to the Cantina. Time progressed at an alarming speed. Duncan watched as Joff used his influence to convince the local crime lord to attempt an assassination on the fallen Jedi master. The attempt set in motion the death of Joff, and the destruction of his own slave empire. It also brought three sisters back together. And started their adventures. Everything to include Roses possession started at that moment.

RE: Practice Practice Practice
"How did you know that particular push would do what was needed?" he asked. It couldn't just be Farseeing, and if it was how could they trust it when the ability to use the Force in that matter was never 100%, and now because of the shroud of the darkside it was even less reliable. That is unless their defeating Abeloth had lifted that shroud.

"You are still seeing with your eyes," Lysire turned to him once more. "You are not here. Your eyes are not here. You no longer exist on their plane. You are but a thought." She motioned around her, "for us, all of this is simply what we observe through the fabric of the cosmic Force."

She drew in a long breath before continuing, "even your thoughts are not yours to conceal. The shroud you think of is the product of someone else. Someone that has no baring on the conflict we are dealing with. This being is but a bug in the greater web of the universe."

"Then how do I accomplish this?" he asked her straight forward.

RE: Practice Practice Practice
Her eyes narrowed greatly as her tone lowered once more, "you will have to die, as we had."

She paused for a moment to allow the words to sink in. "Once you allow yourself to die, you will allow yourself to let go of all these lies you hold on to."

She turned and waved her hand, "All your life, you have learned that the Force travels through and connects everything. This is true, but there is so much more beyond that. Even your understanding of the Cosmic Force is incomplete. When you learn to see through the fabrics of the universe," Duncan caw strands weaved before his eyes. Some bright, others not so bright. Each strand connected to a possible action. "you will see how everything is connected. You will learn to map these connections."

There were millions of strands reaching out from each person. Some strands even met and joined with others. The colors of the strands were endless and vibrant, "But you are not ready for this," she said and the strands vanished from his sight. She turned back to him, "You have much to learn before you are ready for this," she paused once more, "and your death."

"If I'm not ready for any of this yet, why show it to me now?" he asked trying to understand. The frustration he was feeling crept into his voice. "You say I'm not ready for this then what steps do I need to take to make myself ready? Teach me." he pleaded.

She smiled as she slipped backwards, "We are teaching you. More than what we were given when we started down this path."

She glanced around and the scene changed. They were in some kind of tomb. Duncan recognized the markings on the wall. He saw a young Lysire. She was the same age that he recalled when he met her back on Fray. She was in a corner reading from a scroll. Her eyes fixed on the words, her lips trembled with each and every word she uttered. "We were not given any warning of what laid ahead of us."

The scene changed again and Duncan knew that they were on Baklid VI. The palace walls were lined with Battledroids, "no one warned us that there were some things we couldn't change, no matter how much we wanted to change them." Duncan watched the Royal Family of Baklid VI being beheaded one by one.

The scene changed once more and Duncan found himself standing on an asteroid in some distant galaxy. She stood their gazing in to his eyes, "You have a choice, to walk away from from this."

She drew in a deep breath, "to let go, means letting go of everything....."

RE: Practice Practice Practice
"I've already said I'd do whatever it takes to stop this threat, even if it means that one day I have to give everything I am to do it." he told her. "As you said I'm not ready yet, but I'll do everything I can to get ready." he told her the determination in his words was as evident as his frustration was a moment ago.

RE: Practice Practice Practice
She nodded, "we will see if you have what it takes." Her gaze pierced him like a blaster bolt. In her eyes, Duncan saw the entire universe.

She stepped forward, "you don't even know what it is that will threaten your galaxy, you friends, your family." In her eyes, Duncan saw everyone's death. He knew that she had seen the death of this galaxy.
