Act One, Scene One

[Nightmares Echo]

Hedril and Increase

As Lt Noonia made his way off, his own eyes would grow to slits for a moment. How rude he thought, letting perhaps a few more vulgar thoughts cross his mind before replacing attention where it's due and that's on Hedril, he then responded " There you go, trying to understand people again..." a soften and light hearted sound filled his words as they meet the air "...and another reason to just observe them. They are strange...people are." his attention then shifted around the room as words continued to spill in his normal fashion " I gave up on trying to understand people long ago, for they are much more complex than the complex organizisms I work with in the science lab." as he finished speaking, he chuckled lightly for a moment. Gaze returning to Hedril for a moment "So, in your 10 year plan...did you for see any of the events that have unfolded before your path? When you were planning out your career, did you account for these kind of bumps and moments?"

Lieutenants Pander, Etxebarria and Noonia

Lieutenant Pander nodded as she listened to Noonia speak. "Yeah, someones got to get out there and make sure that the bad guys don't try to do anything funny again." Her voice was think with her western American ascent.

Lieutenant Etxebarria nodded to the compliment, "thank you Lieutenant Noonia for such kind words" Even though her 'r' rolled, her voice was still calm and proper. It was his first time meeting the pair that were well known across the ship as the Trouble Sisters.

Lieutenant Pander smiled, "don't miss us too much" she said stepping closer and placing her soft hand on his face. "We will be back before you know it and then the party will liven up, good and proper." There was something down right mischievous in her voice.

Lieutenants Pander, Etxebarria and Noonia

It was the second time meeting them, the first he was holding a glass of hot chocolate. In fact he had probably tossed it to the side on the prowl for Bonham. Regardless, the two lovely women seemed a little distraught at the moment. "I will hold you two too that." he countered back with a bemused expression holding on his features. "If they do try anything, get one for me."

Noonia reached up and lightly hooked the crooks of her fingers, sweeping them down so that he could brush his lips in a dramatic gesture, meant to be a bit playful. "I don't wish to hold you two up." diplomatically not bringing up Bonham or Paxton to either of them, considering one had really annoyed them recently it seemed, and the other was no where to be found as of yet.

Ensign Noguerra nodded in reaction to his statement, "Thank you Captain. Lieutenant Pander is a great pilot and an even better teacher, but the unofficial leader of the Jolly Rogers" she said smiling. Then added, "well lets just say we need our Reaper back" she said using Commander Bonham's call sign.

From across the room echoes a whistle followed by Panders voice that they were next on rotation. Ensign Noguerra let out a heavy sigh. "Then again, the CAG would have had us up on twice as many rotations" she said. "He always said that if we were to remain at our best we had to push our limits" she added than motioned over to Lieutenant Pander, "one thing about Lucky;" Once more she used a call sign. This time Lieutenant Pander's, "enjoys her conquests."

It was plan for all to see that Lieutenant Pander was getting a bit too personal with Lieutenant Junior Grade Noonia. It also appeared that he was playing back.

She turned to face Ensign Neumann, "Hey, you know maybe one day I will take you up in our trainer. Holodecks are fun, but nothing gets your blood pumping like watching death only centimeters off your wing tips" she said with a playful smile and a wink.

Ensign Hedril turned to face Increase and listened carefully to what he had to say. She smiled at his series of questions, "My father would say never plan out your life" she answered. She never thought beyond the moment of what she was doing. Sure she had goals in her life but she never really planned out her career. Instead she set mile markers for her life and judged her life off of those markers.

She thought for a moment as she blinked, "Sometimes this form of communication is hard for me. The meaning of what I wanted to say simply didn't come out right" she corrected. "Allow me to correct that. I create points in my life where I want to be. This is what my father teaches me. To create points. If we reach that point than you have achieved your goal. If not, then you need to explore if this is a better place than where you expected to be."

She thought a moment, "I am where I desired to be. This ship and its mission will bring it close to my homeworld and that will mean more often chances to visit my family. As well, there is much uncharted space near our patrol zones. This will ensure that I have a chance explore many more different forms of communications."

She waited a moment and than asked, "tell me Lieutenant, why did you choice to be part of this project. The Thunderchild Project was completely voluntary. So why are you here?"

Doctor McCoy walked up to Eve and smiled. Doctor McCoy was well known among the crew for being the ship's Councilor. She was half Betazoid and half human. But fame came in her name. She was the Great Grand Daughter of the great Doctor Lenard McCoy himself. "Good day Eve" Erica McCoy said softly. "I am sorry that I haven't had a chance to meet you before this event. I have been very busy getting everyone settled in to their new roles. Tell me Eve, how are you handling being the only civilian aboard?"

There was mischief in her eyes but when Noonia played back her demeanor changed to a creature on the hunt. She licked her lips ever so slightly as she curled her fingers around his trapping them in her soft yet unyielding grip. "Oh trust me Lieutenant, I will surely call out your name as I dispatch one in your honor" she said locking his eyes in to her own gaze.

Of to the side and just out of sight of the two Lieutenant Etxebarria stood waiting. She alone knew that look in Pander's eyes, and as a result she rolled her own eyes as Pander continued.

Lieutenant Pander stepped ever so closer in to his personal space with a soft smile. "Tell me Lieutenant Noonia, is what I have heard about you true" she inquired. Her eyes never left his and his fingers were held ever so slightly by her soft fingers.

Lieutenants Pander, Etxebarria and Noonia

Noticed the predatory gleam that flickered there. However, Noonia was an agile creature when it came to this sort of thing. Eyes moved to Etxebarria, noticing the way that she was rolling them. Of course that view was skewed as the woman had stepped in, the wide brim of the hat covering his peripheral vision. "That I work fast and hard? Yes." The grip was still holding his hand, and likely she was physically more imposing than he. Though fit, his skills lied in the Academic fields. "However, what specifically are you inquiring about?" did not display a hint of lack of comfort from the close distance. This was about the same distance that Ferengi liked to work from, face to face.

Ensign Neumann smiled back. “It sounds fun. I’d like that.” He was pleased by her invite and as far as he was concerned, he did not need a reason to spend time with his old friend. “So, being so close to it all; Is that what you like about it? I imagine piloting the bigger ships must seem pretty mundane in comparison.”

Lieutenant Pander smiled as she heard the words coming out of his mouth, "That I work fast and hard." She nodded her head as he asked, "However, what specifically are you inquiring about?"

"Oh Lieutenant" she said softly, "that is a magnificent start"

However before she could continue her 'hunt' Lieutenant Etxebarria took hold of Lieutenant Pander's arm and pulled her back. "Okay now" she said pulling Pander from the too close for confort exchange. "Time for the shower Lucky. You have a flight to lead"

"Damnit!" Pander called out as she shook her head in dissatisfaction, but she recovered quickly and added, "oh don't go anywhere my little engineer. Lucky Seven will be back for you later." Pander was watching Noonia with that hunger in her eyes that Noonia had seen in his own male roommates back at the Academy just before they went out on the town.

Over her shoulder Lieutenant Etxebarria held Pander with one arm tightly as she motioned her other hand across her neck mouthing the word 'RUN' and a smile on her face.

Just before she turned and followed Lieutenant Etxebarria for the exit, she blew a kiss towards Noonia and made a heart shaped motion with her hands.
