Captain Campbell, Ensigns Neumann and Noguerra
Ensign Noguerra nodded her head as his question about what she like. "Oh yes. Well at first it used to scare the hell out of me. While the Ghost Riders would be doing most of their training in the holodecks, Commander Bonham had us training combat operations through out the vast construction yards of Utopia." She looked down a bit bashfully and added, "okay that was not our original training area. But Pander loved to show off for the guys working in the construction yards. Oh My God, Its was so exciting."
She lifted her head up and smiled as she looked Neumann in the eye as she added, "sure Bonham was mad when we got caught but you should see the training we got in close quarters flying. Whipping and zipping in and out of Starships that aren't even finished being built. As the speeds increased, that is when the heart starts pounding. The slightest mistake and you and your fighter are nothing more than a fireball. There is no hope for transport or survival. But that was nothing compared to flying wingman for the Reaper himself. When he took me down on that asteroid, I thought I was going to have a heart attack. I never flew that fast and that close to anything before. Made our exploits out at Utopia seem almost like child's play. Now I laugh just thinking about it."
In that moment she just realized that she was standing next to the Captain of their ship. Her face went blush as she realized what she had just said. "Sorry Sir, that kind of flying is not regulation. Commander Bonham had made that clear and we only did it a few times."
She turned her eyes back to Neumann and smiled again, "Um...piloting the large ships? Sure they are nice. Kind of like a Sunday drive in the country right?" she turned her eyes back to the Captain, "yeap, nice and safe drive in the country Sir. That is what we in the Jolly Rogers like it" she said with a smile that was clearly painted on.

RE: Act One, Scene One
Hedril and Increase
Increase stood there, listening as she worked her way threw this form of communication. His arms slowly weaved across his chest, then he stood and stern like. A soft nod would show that his is listening and paying full attention "I understand your frustration with this communication. I would prefer a mental type communication if I could" which is a method of communication he sort of understands already.
A soft smile still held his lips turned up slightly in the corners and a soft chuckle "Aye, that is a good way to explain goals."
When she posed her question, he looked a little shocked. No one had really asked him that before...then again he tends to voluntary for things he didn't realize he agreed to. His voice was slow to appear but eventually he got rolling "...well, hmm...I have never really been asked that. I guess I could say...I told they needed a Chef Science Officer and I said yes. Is how it pretty much went." he then offered a big cheesy grin
"It's Madding...Always, touching...something."

RE: Act One, Scene One
Captain Campbell, Ensigns Neumann and Noguerra and Skytower
Lylliana cleared her throat again, this time a little more loudly as to draw attention to herself, feeling as though the conversations kept going on around her. "Captain, sir!" she stated loudly now to draw his attention, "I do believe now would be a good time to give that speech. " she nodded, noting that several crew members were already making their exit.

RE: Act One, Scene One
Captain Campbell, Ensigns Neumann and Noguerra and Skytower
Ensign Neumann seemed to be catching up with his Noguerra. It appeared to the captain, that these two could make a cute couple. He had been a part of more than one romance while aboard a starship before he had made captain and while he could no longer engage in a romantic relationship with anyone on board his ship, he had no intention of interfering with this one.
With that thought, the captain had stepped back a step, poured himself just a little something extra into his coffee, and let his mind wander. He thought about Seona and Maura, he ran though his new memories from his childhood and enjoying the love he had forgotten about from the both of them when they were younger. He had even watched Seona's videos enough times to remember each step of most of the dance routines. It wasn't until Skytower shouted "Captain" that he realized he was being spoken to. He also, in the moment, realized must have been smiling because his cheeks were suddenly a little sore.
He looked around, Noguerra was suddenly talking very strangely but he was not sure why, the captain raised an eyebrow in her direction but did not say anything. Then he turned his attention to Skytower, "This is your show ma'am, if you say it is time then I will go ahead with the announcement. Lead the way, unless you would like for me to give the speech from here?"

RE: Act One, Scene One
Captain Campbell, Ensigns Neumann and Noguerra and Skytower (( and Lt. Noonia ))
She let out a sigh, having finally caught the Captains attention. She shook her head, pushing her hair from her face, "No, sir. Perhaps up on the Pavilion where everyone can have eyes on you sir... " she looked around then, trying to find Lt. Noonia. She knew he needed to be nearby for this. "Please sir, if you'd make your way up there, I will go and grab Lieutenant Noonia, and we can start... "
She gave a nod and pointed in the direction of the pavilion where some people were coming and going for warmth and seats. She figured they could stand on the steps and it could be a nice formally informal little speech, just to commend Lt. Noonia on his efforts. She peered around and spotted Lt. Noonia, waving at him and hollaring, "Lieutenant!" she would yell trying to get his attention.

Had been running away, and thus just changed his direction to head towards Ensign Skytower. Almost like he knew what time it was! Though that was completely unrelated to why he was running, but nobody really knew that!

RE: Act One, Scene One
Captain Campbell, Skytower, and Lt. Noonia
The Captain hated giving speeches almost as much as he hated attending them. Private words of praise always meant something from his superiors but somehow public speeches always seemed pompous and unnecessary. Part of the job now the captain thought to himself. He let out a deep breath. "If I could have everyone's attention". he waited until most everyone had quieted down before continuing, "I just wanted to take a moment to praise everyone here during the fight against the rebel Cardassians. Everyone fought bravely and I am proud of you all. We must also remember our fallen friends; their bravery and their sacrifice. They paid the ultimate price for our safety, ford our continued breath." The captain paused for a moment of silence. "I wish that I could show each of you how tankful I am for what we have accomplished so far. To show each of you that I am glad your stand with me. Today I get to show my appreciation for the first time to one of my crew. Today we honor the man who kept us all from being blind. Lt Noonia found a flaw in the the Starfleet sensors that left us unable to see the rebel carrier and her traitorous allies. Thanks to his actions our ship was the victor in our fight and to show him our gratitude, I now award him with this, Starfleet Medal of Commendation." He began to clap to show his speech was finished. He turned toward Noonia and presented him with the medal. Leaning in, just so no one else could hear, "Give a speech if you must but nothing about Seona, understood." Then the Captain stepped back and offered Noonia the stage.

RE: Act One, Scene One
Captain Campbell, Skytower, and Lt. Noonia
Stopped his jogging next to the captain, wiping a bit of sweat from his brow before it could become a veritable icicle due to the weather. The Captain of Cambells was starting his speech rather immediately closer. Of course Noonia preferred a quieter bit of appreciation, it was hard to avoid Limelight when you were put on display like a prized piece of Latinum. The stage was shared of course, the rather sturdy little platform beneath him creaking like fine woods. Everything he was going to say, was rather already being said by the Captain. There was a little bit of shivering from that man which made his teeth clink, causing words to be slightly different than usual. Captain of the Cambells seemed to be a rather friendly sort of folk, somebody to really get into the nitty gritty and have at your back.
Once the whispered warning of a lack of Seona was given, the speech took another large slash from it. Yet Noonia still could say things without letting names or ideas be relevant. In fact, speaking to charm a group of people about something insignificant yet exciting was in the Engineers Handbook (Unofficial). This on the other hand was a far more grandious situation, as co-workers he barely knew were glancing up at him expectantly. Bloody hell, they hadn't even thought to place a Podium up here. Ensign Skytower really dropped the ball there, considering a Podium allowed one to sneak a peek at notes if they had them prepared, as well as thump to draw out cheers or what not. Of course, none of this thinking really took more than a pause worth of time, before raising his voice. "Combat is a greedy beast, full of misdirection and over stimulation. I had my first taste of it recently, and it narrowly bit down into me. Yet I had brave souls to my left and right, and they inspired me. I'm honoured to work with such a hearty, passionate crew. Nothing is ever accomplished alone, but together we are far stronger, and the wicked deception was discovered and corrected. Together, we will become not just the first Carrier Starship, but the cutting edge leading into the future! For the USS Thunderchild and her crew!" His voice started of course almost placid, but it was a lure to draw in the attention of those nearby. As he spoke, the timber of his vocals injected the passion of his thanks and fury of his heart, ending it in a passionate and brief manner.
