Bug  Tod Klo
Tod Klo wasn't always a spiky, grumpy caterpillar. She used to be very good-natured and full of integrity, like any Kel Dor alien. She was born into a normal family, plus an over-achieving older sister named Sha Klo (Sha was the first in her family to present as force-sensitive for a long time). While her sister pursued the Force, Tod sought after more concrete, pragmatic interests in biomedical engineering. Computers and other electronics became her passion.

Sha earned some lime light as her accomplishments grew, while Tod was content to continue her work in the shadows programming and inventing. She didn't care for things that she didn't understand, and the Force was one of those things. This is why Tod was inclined to follow when her sister went to Olivan to continue her training--she didn't quite trust the Jedi or their society. Tod took up a job in a biomedical facility on Olivan.

While in Olivan Tod's worldview was warped by the injustices and selfishness that she faced every day. Things only seemed to be getting worse. Tod learned ways to protect herself; unlearned habits that she developed from her own planet. Just when she felt she had finally adapted and become part of the planet, she received news of her sister's death. Anger, mostly toward the Jedi order for placing her sister in danger, and despair washed over her. She would have accepted her loss and returned home, except for an article she happened upon online during one of the sleepless nights that followed. The article revealed that Sha's death may have actually been a murder.

Tod ran into Auro's group at the same moment that a nearby shop exploded. She became acquainted with them and learned of their involvement with the strife on Olivan. She dug deeper to discover that the unrest was instigated by "dark side" force users in a conspiracy to bring the various factions into war. Worse than that, her sisters death was part of the conspiracy. However, all of Tods attempts to prevent the planets conflict from coming to a head failed. The dark side gained control of the planet and the republic suffered major losses, forced to retreat.

Todd could not go back to Olivan. But one of the enemies, Farijaa, had proudly confessed that she had, in fact, murdered Sha Klo. She remained with Auro's group in hopes that by helping them she could one day get her revenge. Her prickly nature and less than diplomatic methods to try to prevent the war on Olivan, however, meant her initiation had started off on the wrong foot. She was imprisoned for a time and almost put on trial out of suspicion of espionage. Despite all this she continued to help them, revenge for her sister the only thing that mattered.

One mission led to Todd becoming mind controlled, which left her deeply disturbed mentally. She realized that the Jedi had the ability to alter her will at a whim and shev would be powerless to resist. It completely changed her view on the world and deepened her resentment toward the Jedi civil war. Her sisters revenge had been guaranteed by a reliable source, her only reason to continue living was gone. She saw no end to the war, no hope for separation from the Jedis mess, and no chance of any civilian to ever be allowed to have peace. It was this dangerous thought that caused her to snap; there was no way out, no escape from the injustice and the world where Jedi reigned supreme...except one.

Todd had a moment of hope during a tea party hosted by Unna and Ashla, but eventually her recently acquired psychosis brought her back to a point of no return. While she unclasped her mask she also disabled a part of the device so it would no longer work properly. The missing pieces required for her mask to function were held in one clenched hand as she breathed in the toxic oxygen and eventually died. Unna and Ashla did the best they could but it was too late.

Sometimes life can be ironic that way: Todd's mission began with a staged suicide and ended with a real one.
