Nienna (who asks to be called, "Ni") was born to a single mother. She discovered her force powers early in life, so one could say she almost took it for granted. Her planet's government agreed to pay all expenses for her education (Force users among their race are very rare, so the Zeltrons wish for them to have the best upbringing). Ni was recruited to a very reputable academy in Alderaan to develop her Force sensitivity further. There she received one of the best and most costly educations a padawan could hope for.
But Ni wasn't as dedicated or infatuated as some other padawan students. In true Zeltron fashion, Ni was always looking for the next exciting thing to experience. Once the initial awe of a lesson wore off she would become bored. Her attention was always wandering and she absolutely did not appreciate the "control" or "discipline" side of the Force training. An elder Master Jedi named Henoch was the only one patient enough to give her lessons. Although she did learn the Sense and Alter aspects of the Force, Control continued to be a challenge for her, and this often made her feel out of place. When she "graduated" into a Jedi Knight she took it as an opportunity to finally do all the things she was unable to do while at the academy. She ditched her assignment and went on a spree. Her new sense of freedom led her to some large city on some planet (TBA?).
Once on the new planet she decided to take a break from the Force; it was always making things so serious and stuffy. Now that she was an adult she was determined to experience everything that adults could do--so she went on her tour of mature pleasures and learned many non-Jedi skills like dancing. After a long series of adventures here and there she settled in an urban area and took up a job as a dancer in one of the most popular clubs in the area. Things were going well...
And then she met a guy named Gadeon, a lone Jedi who, strangely, didn't show any interest in the dancers or the drinks. In fact, the only one time he ever looked in the direction of a dancer was to defend one being grabbed inappropriately by a patron (Ni appreciated the entertaining brawl that followed). He seemed to be up to something, but what? The mystery was exciting! She would approach his table and try flirting, try teasing, try subtle ways of fishing for information, any trick she knew. He didn't humor any of her antics but he did realize she was a Force user, which made him curious. They struck up a conversation, and he asked her if she had seen a certain man. He had been trailing a guy that needed to be stopped from committing some sort of wrongdoing.
The game was afoot! For the first time in a while the Zeltron reached out to the Force. She used her farseeing and mental influence to help Gadeon find the man he had been trailing. It was during this time with Gadeon that she realized she had grown bored of the club scene--this type of detective work was a lot more fun! She even found her brush with death to be an exhilarating experience. After the man was caught she very cheerfully invited herself to follow Gadeon on his other missions, regardless of his opinion of her presence. She appointed herself as The Sidekick.
