Jaden knew what had to be done. He took the envelope in both hands and ripped it to pieces. He looked at her and with determination in both his eyes and voice said, "You can go ahead and join the OPA, but I am not going to abandon your daughter. She has suffered alone and chose to suffer to defend other people. I refuse to allow her to suffer alone any longer. So go ahead, but when she stands to be given the trials I will stand with her.
