Ni awoke with a headache. It took a moment for her to remember where she was. She inhaled sharply as the memories flooded her consciousness. "Stop, stop, stop," Ni mouthed silently to herself, squeezing her eyes shut and willing her thoughts to turn to the story that Bay had read to her. The Zeltron carefully slipped out of bed and made her way to the bathroom, entering to discover that she had left it a mess. She scolded herself quietly for being so inconsiderate. 

Ni began washing the dirty towels in the sink, deliberately ignoring the pile of clothes on the floor. She rinsed and rung out the water from the fabric, then hung them on the shower rod to dry. Ni took several deep breaths before finally turning to collect her dancing outfit and underwear from the floor. As she balled up the clothing tightly between her hands the image of a tortured, empathetic face with black curly hair surfaced in her mind.

Zay.

Ni bit her lip nervously and started walking, once again busying her mind with details from Bay's story, the girl that lived in the forest. She wondered what it would be like to live in the forest. Then, abruptly, she recalled that Gadeon had planned on leaving the planet today. A cold chill ran down her spine and she stopped in her tracks. "Gaddy..."

The Zeltron quickly walked back to the room where Bay had collected the samples. Sure enough, her datapad was there, sitting off to the side. She saw that the time read 0604; she had only been asleep for a few hours. Ni knew that Gadeon would be awake for his morning meditation. She typed him a message on her comm:

Good morning, Gaddy! Its a beautiful day!! Can I talk with you?

Then she typed a message to Bay as she exited the ship:

Hey Bugsie, I'm sorry if I worried you last night, I guess seeing your sister in her current situation really got to me. But I'm confidant we can crack this one! I'm on my walk to talk to Gaddy.
