(Part Two) The History of Liasien
Narrator's Note: It was an oversight on my part that the last page of the History was cut off. I have now posted this vital missing information in Part Two.

A hundred years after the end of the Great War, relations within the Council had grown heavily strained. None of the human city states choose to send their representatives to Esterbrook. Their concerns rested on King Morcant's orders to repopulate the The Frontier with law biding citizens. Sadly seven out of ten families relocated to the The Frontier were human families that had called Arendale home for thousands of years. Some rumors started to surface that these relocations were forced relocations. Then came the shift in political landscape in Adwelawial. This shift occurred when the much loved Human King Eowoand died in his sleep. His High Elf wife, Queen Osum claimed the thorn after a short intense power struggle between herself and the Kind's only son. Arendale played a key role in that power struggle that helped Queen Osum claim the thorn.

After the short struggle for power, Queen Osum punished the former city state of Swynmarsh. They had supported King Eowoand's son during the year long struggle. Since the Great War, Adwelawial troops had been stationed within Swynmarsh to protect the city state from further attack. Both King Eowoand and his son had promised to remove their troops once the region was safe guarded. After Queen Osum's raise to the throne, she ordered her troops to round up the leaders of Swynmarsh and have them all brought to her court. There they were each executed for their crimes against her crown. She hand picked the next leaders of Swynmarsh. A move that would ensure that the City State would remain free only in theory. The reality of the situation was far from that. Swynmarsh might seem independent of Adwelawial, but they are nothing more than a puppet government of Adwelawial. A move that outraged all of the human realms across Liasien.

At the out break of the Great War, Arendale lost a key part of its lands when Erardon withdrew from Arendale. Since the end of the war, Arendale and King Morcant had pressed hard to have Erardon to peacefully rejoin Arendale. Currently, Erardon has refused all offers to rejoin Arendale. To make relations more tense between the two Elven realms was word that Erardon has started to expand its boarders towards the former human realms. While Erardon could not possible hope to beat Arendale's military in a war, Erardon has not allowed its self to become intimidated. Even after Arendale positioned the two massive armies near their joined boarders. Arendale has taken steps to prevent Erardon from joining the Council of Peace, claiming that the people of Erardon were represented by Arendale and that they share a common interest.

After three hundred years since the Great War, the peace that had been so hoped for seemed to still be elusive to Liasien. The Frontier has shown no signs of gaining order. Even Arendale has long given up hope of claiming the lands as their own. For almost two hundred years, the only major power that has provided any help to those settlers that remain had been Erardon. This help is only to the far northern regions of The Frontier. To many leaders, The Frontier has become a black hole of trouble and chaos that should be simply ignored. For the settlers, repeated cries to the Council for help has gone largely ignored. Though few truly understand that even if those loyal to the Council wanted to, there would be nothing they could do to help the settlers in The Frontier. The settlers have been abandoned to fend for themselves.

In the Halls of the Council of Peace, whispers hint that Arendale is running out of patients for Erardon. Rumors of another war that was hovering just over the horizon are growing. And this time, many fear that Arendale will be the aggressor. This has forced the other leaders of the Council to decide rather to support Arendale or not to. As of the Drow, no one has made contact with the Drow of Shadowwyvern in over two hundred years. Not even their closest relatives in Seona have heard word of their kin. The only reports are that the great gates that protect their subterranean world have been sealed from the inside. Though with all of this, an event that has slowly spread across Liasien has gone unnoticed. While the great schools of magic still compete, some have started to notice that the skill of some of the younger students seem to be slipping. It is as if their ability to link with the natural magical world is not as strong as their elders.

On the three hundred and fiftieth anniversary of the end of the Great War, Esterbrook had desired to rekindle hopes for peace. Esterbrook, planned a massive celebration and invited all realms to join the week long celebration. King Morcant had spent all he could to ensure that the celebration would not be soon forgotten. He planned for a massive naval parade to show off Arendale's military might aimed at protecting the Peace as well as sending a message to Erardon. The hopes of the King for the celebration were dashed when Queen Muirgen fell ill with headaches and nightmares. She had become the glue that was holding the Council of Peace together. During the great feast on the second night of the celebration, she burst in to the hall still dressed in her nightgown. Blood dripped from her arms where she had cut herself repeatedly. Her words echoed across the realms as if the winds themselves had carried them.

"We have forsaken the Elder Gods and the Laws that they have created for us. How dare you feast in celebration of the death of our dearly departed. Peace? we didn't bring peace, we brought death to this world. We brought death Liasien! To the east, I see a waves of blood washing down upon us all. Death will march once more across Liasien. Wave after wave of red blood washing down the mountains. Why!?" She pointed at her own husband, "You, there! You plot against your own brothers and sisters. And for what? gain.....nothing but gain..... We have been cursed by the Elder Gods and this is why they had turned their backs on us. We have betrayed our own blood and now that betrayal will come back to us."

The scene was so moving and shocking that no one dared move as they watched the Queen stand there in her blood soaked nightgown. She looked around the great hall waving her blood soaked knife at each of those in attendance as she spoke to them in her distrait state. She stormed around the Great Hall kicking over plates and pushing servants from her path. Her next words filled them all with fear, "You all have been warned by the Elder Gods. For what every reasons you choose, you ignored those warnings. Now we are all doomed, we shall all face what we have created. Feast tonight, for soon the wave of blood will come. Even me!" the Queen said as she came to a stop before the infant prince of Erardon and his mother. "For my hands are stained with blood also."

She smiled at the young Queen of Erardon as she tilted her head, "We, as mothers, do what we think is best for our babies. But what am I, when I forsake my own child???" It was clear that the younger Elven Queen was filled with terror as she held her baby close to her. Queen Muirgen didn't see the four guards attempting to sneak up behind her. The older Queen waved the bloody knife around once more as she yelled, "I betrayed my own blood for what you all call peace!" On that, she drove her knife deep in to her own chest. Thus killing the Queen before her body hit the floor. The Guards rushed to the aid of their fallen Queen but it was too late.
