Gratitude and Southern Comfort (Jonash and Unna)

[Jonash Solo]

Jonash listens intently as they stroll towards engineering. He nods and agrees to encourage her to keep going. When she finishes, Jonash replies, "I don't mix work and alcohol - too many accidents involve engineering and booze." He points at his face, "Even without alcohol, this job is dangerous." Jonash chuckles at his own predicament.
(Unna senses honesty and a familiar numbness at the mention of "too many accidents")

In a quiet, almost sheepish tone, "I have a favor to ask. I haven't had a good night's rest since my ship was attacked. I keep hearing their screams and ...". A tear gently falls down his cheek as he stifles his crying to a mere wimper, "... seeing her face."
(Unna senses a nearly overwhelming amount of fear and sadness in Jonash's voice. Underneath that, she also detects a bit of anger and happiness.

He wipes his face and regains his composure, "Can I stay with you tonight?"
(Unna senses that this request is earnest and detects no hints of manipulation or deceit. Unna also senses an emptiness that is not empty, but is also familiar yet new.)

[Unna Hi Chaanu]

Unna stopped in her tracks at Jonash's request. "I..I..." she stammered, showing Jonash a glimpse as to why Ni often called her Shy One. She sensed that Jonash had honest intentions. She relaxed once she got over the initial shock of the question. "Yes, of course. I'm sorry. I was just surprised at first. Let's just try to be discreet about you sleeping over, since I don't want anyone to think I've started having intimate relations. I have an idea. Ashla could put you to sleep and she is so good at it that I think she would be able to make it so that you didn't dream."

[Jonash Solo]

"I'd rather not involve Ashla or anyone else.  I need to clear my head and being around you has been better than whiskey.  I'd rather not talk about it more in open quarters.  We can discuss it further in your quarters tonight.  If you're still uncomfortable, then we can find Ashla and have her do the Jedi sedative thing in my quarters."

[Unna Hi Chaanu]

"It's okay. I'm not uncomfortable," Unna said assuringly. "It was just a surprising question in the moment. That isn't why I suggested that Ashla put you to sleep though. It was just so that you could rest well. Lack of sleep can exacerbate negative emotions. I also figured she would be able to make it so that you wouldn't have any nightmares. We can certainly talk as much as you need to, but I am not sure that once evening discussion will make the images go away. Of course it is up to you to decide and you have all day to make up your mind. Is there anything else you wish to discuss that is acceptable for our in the open? We do not know each other well. I'm sure there is much to learn."

[Jonash Solo]

"We can definitely discuss more later.  I need to get back to work.  I'm not sure I could get another job if I lost 2 ships in the same week."  Jonash stops abruptly near a corner and puts his arms out for a hug.  Unna can see the engineering area just around the corner and that Jonash has positioned himself just out of sight of that area.

[Unna Hi Chaanu]

Unna accepts the hug with a pat on the back. She is not much of a hugger and Jonash would be able to tell. Still, she tries, however awkward she may seem.

[Jonash Solo]

Jonash pulls Unna in a little tighter and longer than she may be used to.  Then he waves goodbye and walks briskly towards engineering.

Later that night:
There is a light knock on Unna's door.

[Unna Hi Chaanu]

Unna heard a knock at her door. She had been expecting it, so she did not change into her night clothes. She walked to the door and opened it. "Jonash, please come in," she gestured accordingly as she step aside for him to enter. Once he enters, she will close the door and have a seat at her vanity mirror. "Make yourself comfortable. What have you come to discuss?"

Unna had an extra bed delivered to the room, making the quarters more cramped than usual.

[Jonash Solo]

Jonash sighed subtly and took a seat on the extra bed. "My name is Cox Solo. I had to give you a fake identity because of the attack on the ship. I just got the all clear this evening."
