Life is the Greatest Adventure

"Nienna, he was sent too Korriban, a criminal sentenced for his crimes. I want to change the perception of the council by being the change in it. It, it's worth the risk. Master Key-Ana died doing good work, and in her death so did much of work toward a peaceful solution for the Jedi. I have been given a chance to win that back. I feel that you have let your attachment to me affect your judgement, it is something that is dangerous to you."

When Gadeon mentioned attachments she searched his face as though in awe of something. "You sound just like him..." Ni whispered, then blinked and laughed sardonically, "Don't change the subject, Gaddy, we're talking about your safety, not mine..." she sighed and averted her eyes. "I know this is important to you. You don't have to convince me it is the right choice, making decisions was always your expertise..." She frowned, "but I can't pretend it doesn't worry me. Hearing about their involvement with the death of your Master just makes it worse..."

"I wasn't asking you to pretend. It was not a change off subject either I listen to his you talk about them and how they are, what they have done, how they are corrupt. I will not oppose that view, but I do not feel you have a full picture. I worry for you in this,Ni, and I need to remain focused if I am to see the path forward. Don't worry for me it only limits what I might do."

[Gar]

The Zeltron visibly deflated at this. "I could never...I don't want to limit you, Gaddy..." she said quietly,, "And if I ever do, I hope you'd tell me...I don't want to hold you back..." Ni gently collected all four of his small hands in hers and looked directly into his eyes, her own lids brimming with tears. "If this is what you want, then so be it. I want to continue to help you...if you will let me..." she had to release his hands to quickly wipe the wetness from under her eyes. "I'm sorry, Gaddy...I can't control it, I'm so afraid..." Ni mumbled shyly, staring down at her knees, "When I almost lost Martyr Boy back on Corruscant I felt--I realized--" she reached up to touch her heart, searching for the words that eluded her and shaking her head in dismay. "Did you know I only recently remembered what happened to my Master? All those feelings returned to me..." Ni said with finality, "I don't ever want to lose someone like that again...or feel that again..."

Gadeon listened, out was a skill not nearly enough people had these days. It was none the less pine of the most important thing a Jedi could do. It really was one of the most important things anyone could learn to do. "Of course you may still help me. I suspected that you were remembering things you had not thought of in some time but I did bout know how deeply you had buried it, no. As for losing people, out is too often these days that good people are taken from those that care about them." Gadeon had thought about that one over and over before he settled on speaking to the others.

Ni rubbed her eyes and nodded quietly, sitting back on her ankles. "Please tell me what I can do to help," she said meekly, "I don't know what I'm doing anymore..."

"I understand what out is to be lost.  When u was I went to the fringe of the Galaxy.  I had lost my way and needed some time to find it.  I found you and saw thou were so much more that the face you put on. I think you know that too, but have been pretending so long that you may have a great deal of trouble to remember.  Take your time, think about the big things you could experience the worthwhile things you could experience.  Think about the life you want for yourself.  Live that life and that is what you can do to help me."

Ni frowned. "How would that help you, Gaddy?" she asked, cocking her head to the side curiously, "What life do you want me to live? Who do I..." she paused abruptly, furrowed her brows, and sighed. "This is so weird. I feel like I had a conversation just like this with Zay..." The Zeltron rubbed her head as if this could somehow sort out her thoughts.

"Zay had been very good for you, Ni. She helped you to touch a piece of yourself I don't think I ever would have seen before. I know it has been hard for you, and that you have been affected by out strongly. Please, if you need to talk come to me, but when it comes to who you are going too be only you choose that." He looked up to her, watching to see any glimpse of how she was doing. She always his out from him.

Ni averted her gaze and considered his words. What Gadeon saw in Ni's eyes just then was some unsettled, jaded thing lurking behind her usual mask. He recognized this as the same oddity that briefly showed itself the morning that Ni came to the Corruscant Jedi temple to speak with him; the first time she told him about the clone, Zay, that needed their help--the 'damsel in distress'. However, just as quickly as it surfaced, it was buried completely under Ni's usual smile as her expression shifted to lighten the mood.

"It has been kinda frustrating, actually," laughed Ni, turning to look at him again as she confided, "She has to always keep everything neat and tidy, always organizing and cleaning my things. But I don't want her to work so I try to do everything so that she has nothing to do--which is not fun at all," she rolled her eyes, "Still, she always finds something..."

The Zeltron frowned and sighed, "I've been meaning to ask you advice about her, by the way. The life she experienced has left her a little..." she struggled for the right word, "broken...But I don't know how to fix something like this. Could you help me?" Then Ni realized that they were still talking in the street and added, "Well, once we find a place to get comfortable. Are you hungry? I hope the food is good here!"
