The Clearest Path

[Ashla Marr]

Ashla was dressed and ready to go to the palace when she heard her com go off. As she listened to Duncan she started heading towards the common area. Seeing Duncan and Ni as she entered, she sat down waiting for the rest of the group to arrive, curious about the information Duncan had to share.

Ni waved to Jaden groggily when he arrived.

Her eyes flashed when she saw Ashla, doing a double take and smiling up at the Meraluka appreciatively. "Good morning, Little Flower," she called to Ashla brightly, sighing, "You sure are a sight for sore eyes."

Gadeon arrived to the summons as well, a light tan cloak over his Jedi robes. His hood was pulled back, but his identity could be fairly easily concealed were it to be pulled up, the robes beneath would be well hidden.

[Gar]

"Gaddy Daddy!" Ni greeted him sleepily, holding out her arms for a hug, the exhaustion on her face showing that she did not have the will to move, "Did you get my note?"

He smiled over to Ni giving her a wave. "I did, is this the party where you tell us all what that message was supposed to be about, it was not you, and I noticed you still had not told him your real name." Her did not really enjoy his but he insisted her when she came over. After you pass on what you need to you should take a nap."

[Gar]

"I hope I have time to nap," answers Ni with a smile, "But first we need to page the people holding owl. There is more to this mission than the Chancellor is telling us..." she wearily leans back on her arms, "We need to ask them what they know about the Dark Wings. And we need to know the gender of owl. I am afraid of what the spy's identity truly is."

Ashla smiled softly " thank you Ni " noticing the nickname she had been given. She thought it was cute. She waved as Gadeon entered the room. Than listened as Ni and him started speaking.

"I think that before we decide what is to be done we start sharing what we have found out. Information being shared is something that would alleviate a great deal, and it should be we that start it. From the beginning..."

[Gar]

The Zeltron took a deep breath and turned to Gadeon. "I was able to obtain all the intel that Boss Man requested," she began, "The lay of the land, the security of the city, the rebels, and how the general public feel about the OPA's occupation. Plus some other tidbits. But I think the most important part is what I found out about the rebels."

Ni rubbed her eyes and swayed a little, then continued, "First thing I should say is that all the lawmen and militia of this world are on a hunt for Unna. They know she is here, and they know she was at the Marketplace with the rebel. They called the rebel a Dark Wing--I'll get to what that means later--but, point is, she is not safe to walk the streets in the open. I don't know what Big Ol' Giraffe wants with her, but if the OPA should get a hold of her, I don't know what might happen. The general idea is to put her on trial for her crimes or something? But it didn't sound like they were planning a dinner party for her, of that I can be certain." She sighed, "And while we are on the subject, did you know the OPA calls us the Chancellor's Elite Terror Unit? I think that is super rude!"

Ni babbled on, "So, some history about this quaint little place. There was this Crown Queen Jedi Master that had ideals of bringing the power back to the people, but that kinda fell through and the Baklid government became a corrupt, oppressive society. The government people with the wealth and power had all the rights, and the normal people felt pretty angry about that. The Republic was involved in this previous government and so it doesn't make the general public very happy about them, either. Then the Baklid people were sent off to fight the Republic's fights, specifically on Olivan, and all that death made them even more unhappy. Well, soon after that along comes Giraffe..."

The Zeltron took a deep breath, "They called it a Purge. He literally exterminated the entire government--over three hundred people! The only person he spared was the guy that is the current Crown Prince of Baklid. And I think someone by the name of Lysire escaped somehow? Anyway, then Giraffe took all that wealth from the dead people and redistributed it to everyone on the planet--as you can imagine, the locals really loved him after that! Then he elected a council that would be part of giving order to this planet, listening to the people, and advising. I think we can assume that the Crown Prince is just a puppet, but I don't know. Anyway, sometimes they will invite people to the Palace to honor them and thank them for their service to Baklid."

Gadeon nodded, "an undercover operative might take on the guise of a terrorist.  I am aware of the Nightwings, I was looking to see if we could have an adventure here, and they kept coming up. So I pulled up a little more about the. As for the terror unit was propaganda. Nothing to concern yourself work." Gadeon let out a breath and settled his mind.  As for Unna being wanted, that should have been expected, but still I feel the invitation is on the level.  Our Exodus from the event was not subtle, I feel this is an offer as an alternative to an attack by the malitia. Unna wants to go and I will stand by her if she does.
