A Hot Time In The Old Town

Ni nodded in agreement, her eyes never straying from Ashla. As they followed Jaden she whispered in the Meraluka's ear with a telltale smirk, "If you want, we can try some of that later in the bunk." She winked and hugged one arm around her waist.

[Jaden_Starchaser]

If Jaden heard what Ni whispered into Ashla's ear he made no indication of it. He led them up to the VIP section on the second floor and to a table that gave a perfect view of the stage and dance floor. "Here we are," he said with a flourish of his arm. "Ladies go ahead and get comfortable and enjoy the show. Wish us luck."

[Ashla Marr]

Ashla's cheeks flushed bright red. "I wasn't trying to hit on you. I just didn't wanted to explain about the guy," she whispered, "Speaking of which, could you com me his com. Please," she begged, though she had a feeling Ni might give her another look.

Ashla followed Jaden, feeling Ni's arm wrap around her waist. As they were lead into the VIP section and sat down she said, "Thank you, Jaden, and good luck."

Ni was clearly disappointed, but she took out her com and quickly pressed a few buttons, saying, "Sure, Little Flower! Anything for you!" The man's com was sent to Ashla's device.

The Zeltron's eyes twinkled with excitement when they entered the VIP lounge, settling on the massive, glowing bar against the middle wall. "Oh! I'll get us drinks! You want me to buy you one before you go, Martyr Boy?" She slipped away from Ashla and started toward the bar, looking over her shoulder.

[Jaden_Starchaser]

"Nothing before the show, but if you want to after I wouldn't turn down a free drink," Jaden said. He then made his way down to where the band was setting up. They each wore matching smiles of excitement. They always had them right before a gig and this wouldn't be any different. They manned their instruments and waited for the the curtains to rise.

[Ashla Marr]

Ashla thought for an moment, knowing the type of drinks she liked to sip on while she used to party. "I'll take a blue hawaiian," she said, she wasn't about to turn down a free drink, either. Ashla watched as Jaden headed off to where the band was.

[Gar]

"Coming right up, Little Flower!" Ni promised with a wink.

Many heads turned as the Zeltron approached to order the drinks. She leaned her elbows on the bar and began working her charms on the bartender, flirting and laughing. A couple hopefuls nearby brushed up close to her to say a few words, and she played along with them until the drinks arrived. The barkeep waved her credits away and smiled. Ni returned the smile and said a few words that caused the group around her to laugh loudly. Then she made her way back to the table where Ashla sat, free drinks in hand, beaming down at her friend.

"The men around here are so nice!" the Zeltron commented to Ashla giddily, handing her the blue drink. Ni's drink was tall and foamy and she wasted no time to gulp half of it down.

The lights dimmed around the establishment except for the stage where a male dark skinned human stood in front of a microphone. His head was shaved bald and he wore a black and white suit. "Ladies and gentleman! For your enjoyment the Five Spot Club is pleased to bring back to the stage the band that sizzles. The smoothest cats to ever grace the stage. Back by popular demand The Yin-Yang Band!" The curtain rose to reveal the band dressed in similar suits with the exception of Jaden and a human male with long back hair that was loosely tied in a tail. He wore a similar outfit as Jaden, but his jacket and slacks were black with white pinstripes and a black fedora. What surprised the girls was Jaden was standing in front of the microphone as the front man.

"How are we doing Five Spot?!" The crowds went wild with excitement. "It's so good to be back with you guys. I had this homecoming speech all planned out, but you guys didn't come to hear that! No you cool cats and fine ladies came to hear us play. You guys came to dance. Come on boys let's give them what they want!" With that the drummer banged his drumsticks together and started playing. The piano and horns joined in as they played an upbeat and lively tune.

Ni clapped and cheered for the band, her foot tapping to the beat. It didn't take long until Ni downed the rest of her drink and jumped up from her seat, extending her arm to Ashla and exclaiming, "Lets go dance!!"

[Unna Hi Chaanu]

Unna sat and watched from her dark corner and clapped for Jaden and the band. She watched as spectators began to dance, but she stayed put since she hadn't learned to do this type of dancing. She definitely enjoyed watching and contemplated taking a class while she wondered if Cox would make a good dance partner.
