Suki listened to Alice, and from what she understood Jake wasn't intending to hurt Kimiko. And actually seemed to care about her. Suki wondered if there was away to include Kimiko into the plans. "If we include her, Jake wouldn't have to be be force to leave her."

Looking at everyone and thinking that they were all nice and naïve, Adrian didn't know what he really wanted. On one hand, he wanted to go home or to stay here where he was unknown. On the other, he liked competition and those guys were the closest thing to a challenge he had found here so far.

Erik listened to Adrian as he called out suki, how he denied his own. The man was a very negative person, though it seemed he required himself to be independent, to follow the agreed upon path, but for his own reasons. Thinking on the matter it seemed easy enough to let it be now, but that could cause problems later on.

Erik turned to Adrian. "You are right about our need to keep our options open, not limiting ourselves to overly romanticized notions, but it is also important that we keep our morals." He paused to separate that thought from the next, not wanting the two to blend together.

"The other point is one I must disagree with you on. Finding and stopping this group from making further changes to the timeline is far more difficult that you would expect. Even if they took no more actions after today they have already done significant work toward having their legacy continue its effects. You see now that this is not as simple as locating the group. Even that is assuming that they have not assimilated or assimilated into an existing government or organization."

Looking at Erik and hearing his words, Adrian thought that he was another of these full of illusions man, one that had never gone through a real hardship by losing everything and having to rebuild ones after that, one like so many others in the Universe.

Alice continued to look at the data while the two male mountain goats butted heads. It was clear that she half listening to either of them. Once things settled down Alice finally spoke up.

"Eric, can I ask you something" she asked then paused to make sure she had his attention. "What would you do if you found this group" she asked softly and politely.

"We....would of course find out who they are, how and why they are changing things, and what their intentions are for the future, after we find that out the floor would be open to us all for suggestions." He was glad for the break. He was glad to get that little peek into Adrian's past at the end and glad for Alice's intervention even if it could spark a dangerous debate.

Nodding to Erik's statement. "Please don't get me wrong Erik. I have a reason for asking. I am finding something troubling in the events of this time line."

She laid out her documents on the screen, "look at this event in New Earth's distant past. Sometime shortly after the fall of the Star League an asteroid hit New Earth causing a mess exodus. Before this moment the demographics of New Earth was a Islamic minority over shadowed by a strong English majority community. According to our timeline, the only change was an influx of German settlers from across the Lyran Commonwealth that started sometime after the First Succession War. This shifted the demographics to a strong German majority."

"In this timeline a Islamic majority was dominated and controlled by a English minority. This gave raise to a civil war in the 3020's. Something that never happened in our timeline."

She paused a moment before contiued, "at the start of this impact changes we inevitable. Even the smallest changes can have the greatest of events across the Inner Sphere. But that is not what happened. Up to 3020's changes seemed to be going out of control on New Earth. At the appearance if something had not been done, it is possible that New Earth would changes its allegiance to the Free Worlds League."

She looked at Erik, "I have to wonder if this impact was in fact the Ark. If so and it survived impact, then it is on New Earth somewhere."
