Visiting Hours

RE: Visiting Hours
As Jenna dropped to the floor, unable to hold herself up, Unna rushed to her side and help hold her up as she grabbed the roll to eat. "Master Mika let me come in. I don't think he is going to go tell the headmaster. Still, more is at stake than the headmaster flipping out that I brought you a piece of bread. There is talk of a trial and I don't think it will be a fair one. The charges are all false and the headmaster only seems concerned about having Graff renounce his vows. I am actually shocked that his grandfather doesn't know about this, but that's what I have come to discuss with you. I want to contact Master Dross (Fay'lin?) and tell her to get an urgent message to him. Can you think of any reason why I shouldn't do that? What you said about influence when we first met in the library was certainly accurate. It wasn't a big deal where I came from, but it certainly is here. I've even talked to Lysire about getting ger mother to help. Can you think of anyone else with influence who I could reach to help us?"

RE: Visiting Hours
Jenna shook her head as she ripped another piece of bread off of the roll. "No, no" she said with her mouth full. "Graff would never want this to get out of hand."

She ripped off another piece with her mouth while holding the roll with both hands. "If his grand father becomes involved, it will get out of hand. The Head Master will never allow these foolish charges to go to trial."

She looked towards the door, "the Head Master has hated Graff since the day he arrived. Those two have been playing this foolish game for almost a year."

She looked down, "this was the same dress my mother was married in" she said softly. "It's ruined now." She looked at Unna in the eyes, "why would your friend do this. Why would he rat us out like this."

RE: Visiting Hours
"Okay," Unna agreed. As she spoke, she removed her arms from the sleeves of her robe and wiggled around inside, eventually removing a tunic and a pair of pants from under her robes. "I will not have anybody try to reach Graff's grandfather. You know him best, which is why I felt it was right to come to you. The word is that the headmaster will let you all go without trial if he renounces his vows, but I do not expect Graff to do that. I meditated to forsee the outcome of that option and Graff was subjected to horrible pain and humiliation for a month. The alternative was a trial leading to the executions of you, Graff, Maya, Krawl, and Auro with the king making a spectacle of it. Since the future is never set in stone, I can not know what will happen, but I still can not rest until you are all out of here and back in school. I know how things have been between us all, but just as you and Graff said, we are all Jedi."

Unna examined Jenna's dress. It was definitely dirty and torn, but Unna did not see it as beyond hope. "I have a sewing kit and could mend it. I sewed all of the clothes that everyone wore in that school in the woods I went to for years. I've been sewing since I was a little girl." Unna held the pants and tunic out to Jenna and was willing to help her change clothes if she needed it. "Here, you can wear these, so I can clean and fix your dress."

"As for Gideon," Unna shook her head. "He meant well, but clearly it didn't work out that way. It is my understanding that he thought he was preventing you all from going to the palace and possibly putting yourselves in harm's way. He seemed to think that perhaps it had something to do with the reason you all did not go to the king's party, which was because I had a vision that Graff got into a conflict while trying to stop a young woman from being beaten. That situation had already been prevented though. He seems to have gained the favor of the headmaster and I am hoping he can use that rapport to talk the headmaster into considering this a Jedi matter and leaving the politics of this planet out of it altogether. I believe he did not want this to happen to you all and I am sure he is going to do what he can to make it right."

Unna placed a hand on Jenna's shoulder and looked at her with concern. "You know the political climate around here much better than we do though. How do you think we can help?"

RE: Visiting Hours
Jenna looked at the pants and tonic. "Thank you but of I were to change the Head Master will know someone came to visit. It wouldn't be long before he realized it was you."

She drew in a deep breath, "as for Graff. Don't underestimate him." She giggled a bit, "when we first met I thought he was a pompous ass." Her smile grew broader as she looked at Unna, "he is a pompous ass, but you will never find someone more loyal than him."

She moved a bit as she tried to get the blood flowing once more. "As she the politics of my world? You should speak with my benefactor, Lady Baku." She paused for a moment. "Graff did her a favor a few months ago. She needed an escort to a Ball and asked Graff to escort her. She might be able to help."

RE: Visiting Hours
"You're right!" Unna realized. "I definitely do not want to draw attention to myself, or even worse, get you into even more trouble." Unna took the clothes and put them back on under her robes.

"I am glad you got to smile a little bit," Unna said, returning the smile. "it seems like in schools outside of the one I went to, which was run by only two people, there are traditions in place where the older students haze the younger students. What I see in Graff is that he is just trying to uphold that tradition, and although it isn't fun for us newer students! I believe ultimately, what you two said to me the day we met was true. We are all Jedi, and we will look out for eachother." Unna giggled for a moment, before revealing to Jenna what she thought was funny. "I can't believe I thought I could talk him into not picking on anyone when we were in the library..."

Unna stayed close to Jenna, as she moved around, until she was certain that her strength was up to it. She didn't want Jenna to fall to the ground again. "I will attempt to contact Lady Baku. Do you know the best, most direct way to get in touch with her?" Unna reached out her hand, holding the fruit. "Would you like a little more to eat?"

RE: Visiting Hours
Jenna listened as she finished off her roll, "we are ALL Jedi" she said boldly. "Some forget this lesson that, we the students, have been teaching each other for over three thousand years." she moved a bit with great effort and pain, "we help each other by following these traditions. Yes we pick on you. But we do this to help form a strong foundation within new Cadets. It was the same for me and Graff as it is for you." She looked down, "what breaks my heart is that you want to change this tradition." Jenna looked up at Unna, "You think you know better than three thousand years of tradition."

She listened as the conversation as it changed, "I don't know the best way to contact her. She doesn't normally travel from her home in the north. But I am sure that she came to the capital for the King's birthday. If she is still in the city, she can be reached at the palace."

Jenna shook her head to the fruit, "I am sure that others would like to have something to eat as well. The roll will help me through the coming days. Thank you."

RE: Visiting Hours
"No, I certainly do not think I know better than 3,000 years of tradition. Such traditions are something that I just wasn't used to when I met you and Graff," Unna admitted, a little embarrassed. "In fact, I'd never seen anything like it in my whole life. I lived a very sheltered life. I spent the first half of my life living on a transport ship with only adults to talk to. The second half was in the tiny settlement I told you about. While I do not enjoy being picked on, I have to admit that I have learned a thing of to from it. Above all, I remember that we are all Jedi. That resonates within me to my core, which is why I am going to help you, my sister, along with my other Jedi brothers and sisters to the best of my ability. I will not be truly happy again until the order of this school is restored. If that means I get bopped in the head, then so be it!" Unna couldn't help but snicker at herself, hoping the last bit of her words would bring one more smile to Jenna's face. This whole experience made Unna realize just how important these people she thought of as bullies really were to her. She'd never enjoy it, but she would certainly prefer it to seeing them rot in the cells until they were executed.

"I will try to reach Lady Baku at the palace," Unna assured Jenna. "Is there anything else I can do for you before I go? I will try to come back soon. I don't want to leave you here, but I want to make sure the others have a chance to eat something."

RE: Visiting Hours
Jenna nodded, "I have never known anything different. This is what I have gone up with. For the ten years that I have been here, this is the only world I have known." She half giggled, "when I first got here, the upper classmen left me hanging on the flagpole over night. It stormed that night and I got the death of a cold. Left me laid up in the infirmary for two weeks."

She sighed heavily as she slowly stood up and made over to the force shield confinement generator. "Its time" she said doing her best to be brave. "This is nothing compared to what those upper classmen did to me," she explained. "I could do this all day, all night."

She stood in the place where her captivity was assured. "You have done more than enough. Activate the shield and get out of here before you are caught."

RE: Visiting Hours
"Well, Jenna," Unna frowned, knowing that it was time to go. "I hate that I have to do this, but I understand that I must. I look forward to seeing you on the outside again. I suppose that what the upperclassmen did to you prepared you for the worse. I hope I never have to go up a flag pole, but if I do, I will remember what you've told me today."

Unna walked up to Jenna and gave her a hug before saying "hang in there, my friend" and activating the shield. This was going to be a hard day for Unna.

RE: Visiting Hours
Next, Unna went to Maya, but before she could deactivate the restraints, Maya stopped her.

"You have risked enough. The walls have eyes," Maya informed Unna. "Electronic eyes." Maya informed Unna that she knew of her having let Jenna down, due to her ability to see through the walls. When Unna offered her food, she allowed Unna to feed her a piece of fruit, which she stood on a chair to achieve.

Unna told Maya that she had attempted to see into the future of their dilemma, but saw multiple outcomes. She asked Maya if she had seen anything. Maya informed Unna of a vision of a struggle that would be fought within the Senate. Unna asked Maya if there was a way to help the outcome be in their favor and Maya suggesting using a being who could be felt sorry for and has seen a lot of tragedy. Lady Baku came to mind for Unna, just as Jenna had suggested. Maya also informed Unna that Graff's sister who was a Jedi Master Warden, Mater Key'ana of Olvian, who could be contacted via the holonet.
