The Flow of Love

[Unna Hi Chaanu]

"Not at all," Unna said, sadly. "I just don't want you to miss out on all of the new experiences for me. I shy from physical intimacy and it isn't even important to me." Unna looked into Ni's eyes with worry and spoke from her heart. "The longer I am with you, the more that I want to be around you, but I want you all for myself. I worry that the longer you are with me, the more you will want something new."

[Gar]

"Its normal to have worries when trying something new," explained Ni, "but sometimes worry can keep us from experiencing amazing things..." she paused in thought for a moment, then confessed with a little embarrassment, "I was terrified when I jumped off that one hundred foot drop. I was sure that I'd be the first one to die, or an Opee sea killer would come out and swallow me whole once I was in the water, or I might land on my stomach and drown," she smiled ruefully, "I had all these scenarios of how it could go wrong. My Zeltron friend at the time pushed me off and I screamed so, so loud!! But I kept a cool head and pointed my feet and--" she took a deep breath as she remembered the experience, closing her eyes and grinning, "I felt this rush, one of the most exhilarating experiences of my life," she opened her eyes to gaze into Unna's and exhaled slowly, "And afterwards I probably jumped off that drop at least a dozen more times! Now, I have no intention of pushing you into something you've made off limits, like sex--like my jerk friend pushed me off that drop--but I can promise you that I think you'll love what I have to show you, and if you don't then its no big deal, we just won't do the stuff you don't like."

Ni leaned back on her hands. "I meant what I said when I said I wanted to try out this exclusive thing. But I won't know if I like it until I try it, just like you wont know if you'll like what I have to offer unless you try it. Sometimes we try things and the experience is disappointing, sometimes it is very pleasurable, and sometimes it is neither. Really the decision here is: do you want to try? I will respect your decision." Ni tilts her head curiously and waits for Unna's response.

[Unna Hi Chaanu]

"I want to try us," Unna said nervously, "and I want to try a lot of other things too, but just not anything having to do with being naked or touching private stuff that bikinis covered. I liked the kisses and that is okay, so long as those kisses stay away from what my swimsuit was covering."

Unna gulped as she made another scary realization. "I'm going to have to come out." As scary as this was for Unna, she chuckled a little. "I guess Ashla has figured it out."

[Gar]

Ni's eyes widened in disbelief, blinking in shock before finally saying, "Oh..." she scratched the back of her head and leaned all the way back in her chair. "... nothing but kissing? And no kissing in the best places?" she grimaced, paused in thought a little more, than said, "Doing nothing but kissing wasn't enough for me, that is what led me to all the other stuff..." she smiled apologetically at Unna, "I'm sorry, I don't think I could do that..." she perked up in her chair and sat forward enthusiastically. "But we still had fun, didn't we?"

Unna's eyes teared up, but she fought them back. "But we can hold hands, cuddle, and touch eacother's legs too. I just won't be ready to do the naked intimate stuff until I know that we will last for a long time, possibly forever. I don't want this to end."

[Gar]

Ni panicked a little when she saw Unna tearing up. She jumped and sat next to her side, hugging her waist and cupping her cheek in one hand. "Hey, wait, this doesn't have to be sad," she assured the Iktachi, dropping her arms to collect Unna's hands in her own, "F-forever? I don't want this to end, either, but I don't know what forever looks like, I mean, farseeing doesn't even--" she cut the joke short, clearing her throat nervously when she was sure it flopped, "I mean, I'm not the kind of person to make promises if I'm not sure I can keep them. I don't even think you could promise forever. That is just not how relationships work, shy one," she gave Unna's hands a gentle squeeze and tried to brighten the mood with, "but hey, there are lots of types that are into your kind of stuff--I think. You don't know who might come your way! Probably someone with Gaddy's loyal personality and my good looks," she tried to laugh at her own joke but found herself growing silent and pensive again.

[Unna Hi Chaanu]

"I know..." Unna said with a pause. "I don't want to keep you from doing all that you wish to do. I'm sad, but I will be okay. We had fun and when I find the one, I hope you will be there as my friend and give me advice. I really should be getting back to the temple now." It was clear that Unna just wanted to excuse herself.

[Gar]

Ni nodded in understanding. "Would you let me walk you there, though? For safety.."

[Unna Hi Chaanu]

"Okay," Unna replied, "but I have one favor to ask," she pleaded, with a slight worry in her voice. "I don't think I am ready to come out until I find someone for me, so please don't mention to anyone that I am a lesbian."

[Gar]

Ni cocked her head to the side. "They still care about that stuff?" she shrugged, "Ok, if you're worried about it then your secret is safe with me. But!" her mischievous grin returned, "I'll make it a little side mission to show you that its ok and perfectly acceptable these days to like roses!" she winks, "I'll bring a female play partner, you watch how everyone reacts. If anything they will be all for it!"

The two walk cordially back to the temple. Ni ensures that Unna reaches her destination safely, then she heads off to the nearest club. Ni hadn't felt this pent up with energy since she first left the academy.
