The Flow of Loneliness

[Unna Hi Chaanu]

Unna returned from her first date with Ni feeling lonelier than ever. Unna never minded being a solitary creature, but now that she had a taste of what it was like to hold a hand, she felt a new feeling of emptiness. She went to the training area to see if Ashla was was there, because she could really use a friend now.

Ashla was currently using a training light saber agianst another padawan. Only getting maybe one or two strikes in. Mostly missing along with failing to block agianst her opponent. She sence Unna'a presents though the link. " i think that's enough for now. " they had been training for a few hours. She bows to her opponents " thank you for your time. " the padawan respectfully bow back and headed out of the training room. Ashla put the training light saber back. Than walked over to Unna " so how did the rest of your date went? "

"It didn't work out," Unna said with misty eyes. "We wanted different things. I was really starting to like her, but I'm just not ready to share my body with anyone. I have always hoped to save it for marriage. I would have only held her back. I have a lot to focus on during my leave anyway, but it still hurts."

Ashla frowned hearing Unna'a words as she listened to her friend. She could understand where Unna was coming from. She pulled Unna into a brief short hug. " am sorry to hear that. There's nothing wrong with wanting to wait until your married. Am sure you'll find someone who shares your same views. Would you like to go do something? " wanting to help Unna take her mind off of it.

"No," Unna said, sadly. "I just want to be here. I may go to bed early tonight. So, I guess you figured out that I am gay. Since Ni and I won't be together, could you please keep it a secret? I'm not ready to come out. My sexuality just isn't all that important to me. I will tell them when I find someone, but nobody needs to know now and I am afraid nobody will understand."

Ashla listened to Unna " ofcourse I can keep it a secret. Trust me I understand. " she opened her mouth to say something else, but looked around not sure how long the training room would be vacant. " Unna there is something I want to tell you a secert I been keeping to myself. Seems only fair to tell you, since you told me your's. However here isn't a really great place. There's some gardens with fountains or we can go somewhere more privite where we can contuine to chat. " she offered Unna.

"Fountains are nice," Unna said sadly, but she still meant it. "The flowing of the waters creates white noise that makes it easy for me to think, as well as noise to conceal secrets between friends." Unna walked with Ashla to the temple garden and sat on a large stone. "What have you to tell me, Ashla?"

Ashla followed Unna into the temple garden. Sitting beside Unna on the rock. " Am bi-sexual. I haven't really told anyone cause, I wasn't sure how they would take it. "

"I accept it," Unna said to Ashla, pulling her in for a hug. "How amazing is it that we've known each other since we were barely walking, but never knew this about each other. Maybe if you end up with a man, you won't have to come out. I am not attracted to men at all, so as much as I look forward to finding my mate, I am worried about when I will have to tell everyone. Right now, it isn't a big secret to keep, because it seems like there is too much other stuff to worry about anyway."

" I think it's going be a long time before I find mine. Specially after my actions. I accepted what I did and i don't think I would had changed it. Thing is I feel like am being judged poorly for it. I keep having to explain my actions because of it. I be happy if I end up with a man or woman, I just want to be with someone someday. Who won't judged me for my actions. Am sure you will find your mate in time Unna. " she closed her eyes for an moment listening to the sounds of the water. Before opening them agian. " i will keep your secert rather it's big or small. Though your right everyone easily gets distracted by the next big thing that happens. I will always be here for you Unna. " she assured her friend.
