Star Crossed Lovers

She leaned back in her chair, she had struck a nerve. It was good information to know. "yes, I would hand this world over to anyone should that serve the purpose of protecting my daughter from a horrible choice."

She smiled as her eyes narrowed, "I could deliver votes needed to end any further debate on our world joining the OPA. All it would take" she said motioning to the envelope. "Leave my daughter and never speak to her again. You will break her heart, but she will grow past this. Her future among her people will be secure. And you can return to your Order as the hero that delivered our world from the OPA. Everyone will win Jaden." She fell silent to gauge his reaction.

Jaden realized that his responses had given her a nerve to poke at. He calmed himself and opens himself up to the Force to provide an insight in what he should do.

She knew she had the human on the ropes. It was only moments before this mistake was fixed. She slowly rose from her chair. "I know you love my daughter" she said not completely sure but felt it was the right thing to say. "But think of her. Think of what good you will do for her, this world, and your cause." She walked over to the table where the envelop rested. She picked it up and walked back over to Jaden. She rested her hand on his shoulder, "take this," she said placing the envelop in his hand. "Go back to your people and tell them how you have ensured we will remain out of your war."

She gazed softly in to his eyes, "Tysta will recover from this day."

He felt the envelope in his hands. He heard her words, yet he continued to try to block her out and open himself to the Force. He felt it wash over him and looked for insight.

The struggle in this young man was clearly evident. She didn't have to be a force-user to sense the struggle. She wondered if he had realized that the force here was much weaker than it was elsewhere. She stood there a moment with her hand on his shoulder patiently waiting. "It is the very best thing for everyone evolved," she said giving his shoulders a gentle squeeze to reassure him that would be okay.

Jaden knew what had to be done. He took the envelope in both hands and ripped it to pieces. He looked at her and with determination in both his eyes and voice said, "You can go ahead and join the OPA, but I am not going to abandon your daughter. She has suffered alone and chose to suffer to defend other people. I refuse to allow her to suffer alone any longer. So go ahead, but when she stands to be given the trials I will stand with her. So get used to seeing me and her together...Mother."

Tiadre smiled inwardly as he ripped the envelope to shreds. As he turned towards her, she allowed her hands to slip from his shoulders and she crossed them across her chest. She was sure that he would have folded like a weak male, but this man appeared to have a bit of backbone to him. She stood there as he glared back at her. 'Such a frail little man,' she thought as she didn't bother to back up from him. Instead she stood her ground in proud defiance of this weak little man. "I tried to be nice with you," she said slipping her hands in to the sleeves of her summer dress. "I tried to allow you to leave with your head held somewhat high."

Her eyes narrowed as her hand moved with the speed of a viper. In a normal situation, this wouldn't have caused Jaden to be caught by surprise. But this wasn't a normal situation (OOC: cause you changed your post... ). He was distracted by the internal debate that was raging. The first hint of trouble was the cold steel up at his throat. "This is a Viper's Blade, a slight cut against your silky skin and you will be dead. Just like that (OOC: After a Fort Check DC 20), and the medical examiner would only suspect that you had an allergic reaction to our atmosphere." She stepped closer to him, so that he could feel her breath on his face, "so heed this warning, BOY, don't move a muscle!" Her eyes scanning him carefully for the slightest hint that she will have to kill him.

Jaden never broke eye contact with Tiadre. His breath came in calm and evenly. His body language came off as imperturbable; except for his eyes. They showed that same burning determination. If this was how his story would end then he would stare down his killer with the same fire in his eyes that he had when he said he would not abandon Trysta.

She continued to move her head and eyes carefully watching his every movement. "Now that I have your undivided attention," she spoke cleanly and clearly. "In this very room, I had the same conversation with Antnolu's boyfriend," she said speaking of Trysta's older cousin. A story that Jaden hadn't heard yet. "He was a fine young Twi'lek. He stood right where you are now. And I spoke with him just as I am speaking with you now. Unlike you, he was foolish. He died in this very room, by this very blade. I will only say this one time, BOY, you will leave this room and our world. Never speak to Trysta again, or I will kill you where you stand!"

"Then tell your men to contact the medical examiner to bring a body bag because i am not leaving," Jaden said with a tone of finality and conviction.
