Friends show their love in times of trouble.

Gadeon took the rest of the morning to meditate, and got lunch midday. He knew Unna may have meetings and so it was not until the afternoon that he contacted her.  "Unna, are you able to meet me (address) I would like to speak with you if you have the time."

[Unna Hi Chaanu]

Unna went to Gadeon. "Hi," Unna smiled. "What can I do for you?"

Gadeon mostione her in, and got into the elevator, heading up to a side landing that had a steel ledge atop it. It let them view out over a small intersection, though beyond a block or so it was obstructed. "I know that you have had far more reaching views of the planet, but I wanted someplace that we could talk out in the open, I have never been comfortable with the confines and was not sure if you would wish to go to the temple. In any case I wanted to speak with you about what you perceive your relationship with Graff and the other saber blades to be. I know that you have railed against the objections of many, myself included, but you have not really been given the chance to speak your mind about it."

Unna leaned against the railing and looked down at the world below her. "I appreciate the opportunity," she said to Gadeon, "although I have made no attempts to take a chance to explain myself, so do not concern with yourself with the chances that have not been given.. I know I often do my visits in secret. It is because I would rather just get it over with, rather than spend time trying to justify my actions or worry anyone when I feel that I will be okay. I do feel that I can speak with you about the matter one on one, as I feel you would understand. My relationship to them is odd. They murdered Auro and Amelia, or at least did a very good job at making it appear as if they did. I am still unsure as to whether or not I am convinced. Despite that, I trust that I am safe around them, although I trust little else. For example, I know that Jenna is able to use the force to practically scramble my senses, so even though she appears genuine, I can never truly know. I know that I must seem completely naive to them and to our group, but my goal is to build trust with them. I take what they say with a heaping handful of salt, but I wish to make myself trustworthy to them, which is why I so adamantly am against the use of wire taps. We do discuss the galactic situation, but we moreso seem to discuss airball and school."

Gadeon nodded as he listened to Unna go on about her reasons, why she thought what she did. He considered the actions of building trust with them and not wanting to justify herself to them. "Do you have an end in mind? You say you wish to build trust, this is understandable, and can be a good thing, but it is also risky." he would leave things open, he had seen Unna close up when challenged and wanted to keep things open, though to her he had clear concern for her safety.

Unna still leaned over the railing, but then turned her head to look at Gadeon. "You know," she spoke softly, "my abilities as a seer is sometimes a hindrance when it comes to speculating on what an end could be. That is especially true in my situations involving Graff and his inner circle. I know it is risky, but I do not know of many others who maintain close ties to both his faction and Praeta Syrdash, so I feel it is part of my purpose to try if there is even the slightest chance that I could help prevent a bloody war. For the most part, I feel safe, but I honestly felt that I might as well dress for my funeral, purchase a pretty casket, and ride in a hearse to meet Frija."

Unna closed her eyes and took a deep breath. "I want to thank you for offering me an out from that visit. Sometimes I still want to discuss the days of airball together with her, but then I remember the red lightning. I felt obligated to go to her, because I thought we may need the intel, but I also felt I was risking my life. It is likely that you saved me that day, especially in my already weakened state. I likely wouldn't have lasted very long with her."

"Then do not put yourself in that situation Unna, remember what we got from Lysire, it does not matter which side wins only that we survive. I too want to stop this war, but in this galaxy there are some things that cannot be stopped. Graff has great loyalty of the army of the OPA, it benefits him to have war, to seek to destroy the chancellor, to destroy the one that killed his sister, do you think that you are going to convince him to turn back?" It was not accusing or even disbelieving, his question Unna would see was an honest question, she would also see Gadeon's opinion there, how he doubted such a thing was possible, and certainly did not think it worth the risk.

"Honestly, no..." Unna said with a somber tone.

Gadeon nodded. "If you want to go at some point to try to save the saber blades, I do not think that many of them are past saving, but it should be well planned, and I don't think that a talk over dinner would be enough. On another topic the Chancellor. I know we brought this one up before, but the talk was short. I do not see the risk involved with Graff with her, only that you may be, after a time, convinced to ignore your friends and team mates in favor of her objectives for us. How do you see your relationship with her progressing into the future?"

[Unna Hi Chaanu]

"I think a talk over dinner is a start. Trust and relationships do not spontaneously occur overnight," Unna said seriously, before suddenly covering her mouth with her hand and giggling. "Well, in most cases. There was my relationship with Cox, but I wiped my own memory of that for a few days. I suppose he just..." Unna giggled again. "I am beginning to ramble. I apologize." Unna straightened her posture and took on a more serious tone. "As I was saying, such things take time. If anything positive can be accomplished, even if we avert just one deadly battle, I feel that my trust building would be worth it. I do not know that I am the best person for the job, but they do feel that they can contact me for whatever reason, be it our pasts, be it they think I am naive, or be it they feel I can be swayed to their side. I honestly sympathize with their cause, I find their methodology and cult to be appalling."

"As for Praeta Syrdash, I have her ear. She listens to me and trusts me. I have advised her against firing in this war and she has heeded my advice. I know that many of you disagree with her and how she came into power. I do not agree with everything she has done as well and understand why many do not trust her. She has by no means been a model politician. I, however, do not view her as The Supreme Chancellor. To me, she is family in a strange way. I know that she is not family to the rest of you, although you and Ashla are my family. Perhaps someday I will see the others as family, but again, those bonds do not form quickly in most cases. It certainly did not form quickly with Mother Syrdash. I once cautioned Auro in the same way that you did, and felt the same concern for him as you now feel for me. I greatly appreciate that we can talk like this. I do not know what the future will bring for our group, especially with our differences in political opinions as a whole, but I will try to be mindful and not ignore you all for her. The problem is that we all must do what we feel is right and we all seem to feel fundamentally different about what is right. I wish to continue to be there for her, as well as you and the others. I hope that I am not too ambitious with my hopes, because we seem to be growing more and more divided over the topic."
