A Hot Time In The Old Town

Ashla followed Duncan's lead. As they moved side to side she noticed the beat was different from the others. She moved as he spinned her from time to time, and a soft smile crossed her face. She had to admit it was fun dancing with her former master.

[Jaden_Starchaser]

After the band had gone into the crowds to mingle Jaden had gone in search of either Ni or Ashla. It did not take him long to see Ni having a few men ask her to be their dance partner or bring her a drink. He could sense that several of them were attempting to get her intoxicated so as to have a good time. He quickly moved through the crowds and came up next to Ni. "Ah sorry gents, but this lovely lady promised me a drink and I've come to collect on that," he said while eyeing the men who had ill intentions for his friend.

[Gar]

"Martyyyrrrr Boooyyyyyy!!" slurred Ni gleefully, stumbling a little toward Jaden and falling into his chest, wrapping her arms around his neck affectionately. "Y--you were sssssssso great!!" She laughed as she swayed and leaned into him, trying to find her balance. The crowd of strangers either frowned or sighed dejectedly and left the friendly pair, some of them tipping their hats and muttering a thank you before departing.

Jaden held her up and kept her balanced as he made sure they all dispersed. He smiled at her and said, "Thank you. I'm glad you enjoyed yourself." He slowly led her to a seat so she didn't have to stand.

[Gar]

Ni followed him to the chair, swaying a little as she went. The smell of ethanol drifted from her breath. "That l--laaaaast drink bealy rurned on th--way downnn..." she giggled, plopping into the chair, leaning her head back, and closing her eyes, "W--where is...Flowrrrr?"

[Jaden_Starchaser]

"I haven't seen her. You were the first one I saw and I could sense that some of those men had...less than honorable reasons for buying you drinks." He then called over a waitress and asked her to bring him some water for Ni.

[Gar]

Ni laughed at this, quoting, "'Lesss'an...honor'ble'..." she snorted, "You'so funnyyyy, Martyrr Boyyyy..." The Zeltron blinked her eyes open and turned her head toward the dance floor, searching the crowd. However, her eyelids felt heavy, and her eyes slowly closed again.

Jaden raised a curious eyebrow at what Ni meant by that. He was going to comment, but the waitress came back with a glass of water as well as a pitcher full of it. He then passed the glass to Ni. "Here," he said, "drink. You'll thank me for it later."

[Gar]

It took a little effort to sit forward and take the glass of water, but she did it, gulping down the cool liquid thirstily, some of it spilling down her chin and neck. "Thanks, hun..." Ni said groggily, shakily setting the empty glass on the table, "Itsss...hhhhot'n herrre..." the Zeltron clumsily pulled down the straps of her dress and slipped her arms out, picking at the rest of her outfit with little success.

Jaden placed his hands on hers to get her to stop. "Uh perhaps you should keep your clothes on, Ni. We are still in a public place," he whispered to the intoxicated Zeltron. He looked to see if anyone was paying attention to them, but saw that people were either too occupied by their own conversations or were off dancing to the music the band was playing.
