Astra just stared at him. " the body's of the people  onboard  they had been shot with sumthing  and I woke up in a bacta tank the hooded man has been trying  to prove it. Sol listen  to me please" Astra said.

She could  not beleave  this how could  they say the events were halutinatons and why did Sol beleave  them. " Sol it was real they are lieing sumthing  attacked that ship and its still out there. " She said.

"Astra," he said moving closer. "Think about this, a human with skin that turns off lightsabers."

He looked at her with soft eyes, "nothing has that ability." He looked down, "sure for a few weeks, I believed the hallucinations. But that was before the medical reports showed that we were exposed to the chemicals."

"Astra, what is more likely," he asked her softly.

Astra shook her head.  " it was not a holutinatiom Sol and what ever that thing was it was not alive I think  it was a Droid of some kind" she said. She looked at him then to the dance. " Let's just agree  not to agree  on this. It's your last night here befor you leave let dace or sumthing " she said trying  to change  the subject  for fear  that Sol would  panic and drag her to the healers or sumthing.

He frowned, "yeah, I am sorry."

He pulled her attention back to him, "Astra," he said as he hands her a long box.

"It belonged to my mother," he said motioning to the bracelet.

Astra blinks confused turning her head sideways. " it's pretty, I bet your excited  to see her again  right?" She asked as she handed the box and bracelet back. Not at all understanding what he is doing. Not that she did not understand  the concept she just failed  to pick  up on it like the silly girl she is.

He frowned, "my mother was killed five years ago. Her ship was attacked by pirates." He looked at the bracelet, "that is all I have of her." He put a nervous smile on his face, "I wanted you to have it."

Astra blinked and pulled Sol into a hug. "I'm so sorry I did not know, this is such an impotent bracelet you should keep it close to you... i apresheate the thought i do...I just ummm"  she trailed off. she did not want to hurt him but she also was unsure about excepting something there means so much to Sol.

He smiled, "I am going to keep it close to me." He took it out of the small box and placed it around her wrist. "Astra, you have been the best of friends I have."

He smiled as he looked in to her eyes. He wanted to say more, but he dared not. "Now let's go get that dance." He laughed pulling her with him towards the dance floor.

He smiled as he held her close. He wanted to give her the world, yet he knew he couldn't. So for tonight, he would make sure that she felt like she was his world. They would dance, laugh and be rich with their friendship. Though deep in his heart, he knew that there was more.

Astra had fun she enjoyed  dancing, talking and laughing  with Sol. When they finly did head to ther preventive Baracks for the evening. There was an feeling of bitter sweetness to ther final goodbye. Even though  it was only a month. For Astra that was a long time.

As she headed back to her room that night she could  not help but feel  there might be something  else sumthing  much more important  between  then.

The night was as it always is on Serreno, cool, but not too cool. The open windows allowed for the fresh air to come in. It made sleeping so much more enjoyable. But the added perk was the gentle sounds of the spring that cut through the dorm blocks. The spring was placed intentionally to allow for a sense of calm and comfort. Unfortunately, calm and comfort wasn't what one student was enjoying. Roza turned in her bed, kicking off the light sheet that covered her. She flipped then reached out with both hands screaming, "NOOOOO" Her pain and horror filled voice ripped Astra from her slumber. Roza coiled up in a ball on her bed sobbing, "no no no no no"

Astra lept from her bed looking around  for an intruder or danger  befor realizing it was Roza. How may times had this been? She had lost count. One would  think she would  be use to it and quicker to help Roza.

" Roza ... Roza it's ok, uts just a dream" Astra said gently shaking the other girl trying to wake her up. Consurn written  on her face. She wished there was some way to end the Nightmares and Roza's suffering. " Roza  why don't we take a walk clear your mind" Astra asked when the other girl finly woke.

Roza shook like she was freezing as she accepted Astra's hand, "I...I don't want to..." she looked up with sadness in her eyes, "can you...please...just hold me..."

After a few moments  Astra started to sing a lullaby  she had known for a long time but could never place where she heard it.

Roza moved to get comfortable, "the doctors tell me that it was all in my head. They try to help me forget. And just when I think I have forgotten, I have the nightmare again."

She blinked a moment then drew in a deep breath, "we were working our way to the galley," she started to explain. "Stev said that there had been some kind of explosion. There were so many dead kids. It was like they had tried to hide or make a last stand or something" She teared up, "I remember finding Trase, there. The Cadet from our shared History Class." She started to shake a bit. "I took a knee next to her. Her throat had been crushed and her face....It was like her head had been crushed."

Roza started to cry, "I...I...She was my age....why would anyone kill her...She was so nice. She helped me with my homework."

She blinked and drew in a new breath, "I heard Stev say he found someone alive. So I got up and rushed to the kitchen. Nic was a head of me, but we reached it at the same time. That was when I saw it get up. IT! I know that there were parts of it that were human, but it was an IT! Stev started to shoot it, but it didn't stop. Stev told us to get back...we did. Stev kept shooting it. It just kept coming. Finally it grabbed Stev and throw him against the corner. Nic turned and was going to run away. He was going to leave me there. I wanted to run...I wanted to do something. But I couldn't move. I couldn't speak...I couldn't do anything."

tears fell freely, "Nic didn't get a few paces away before that thing caught him. Held Nic's head in one hand. Then slammed it against the wall. Once, twice, three times, till Nic's face was nothing more than a smear on the wall. That was when I screamed," She leaned in to Astra's chest. "I was going to die...Just like Trase had..."

Astra blinked there was no way that was a holotination. But she could  not tell her friend that.  The poor girl was surfing  enuff. She did not need the thought that it had actually  happened.

She frowned, "there are whispers," she said softly as she wiped her tears. "I hear them sometimes. They wonder if I left Nic to die on that ship." she shook her head, "He was dead already. I know that..."

" Wispers" Astra said as if confused. She remembered the insidint. " I don't  remember  even seeing  Nic I remember  running in to find you and Sol leaping at his master with his lightsaber. His lightsaber shut of and then the master threw  him at me. The only one from  your team I remember  seeing was you" Astra said quietly.

She looked down, "I know," she said softly. "I spoke to the doctors, and they said no one saw what I saw."

"I remember things," she said softly, "but these things are just tricks of my mind. But that is what the doctors tell me."

Roza frowned as her eyes dripped with tears, "I want so badly to believe what the Doctors say. That none of that was real. The Nic and Trase weren't murdered in such a horrible way."

She started to sob, "does that make me a bad person to want to believe them."

" no roza you the kindest person  I know. You could  never be a horrible  person" Astra said. Her own evey filling with tears. To see Roza hurt so badly  bothered her.

" I don't know why the adults  are trying  to hide this but there wrong" Astra said quietly.

Roza didn't say anything else, she just coiled herself in to Astra's arms. Her soft sobs filling the air around them. She tried to get as comfortable as possible.

It was clear that the scar of that trip was still holding its effect over poor Roza.

It made Astr so angry that Roza was in so much pain. But there was nothing  she could  to fix it. And feeling powerless to help Roza did not help ether. She wondered  there was a way to get the adults to confess to living about  the entire  mess but that was pointless  to it would  not make the Nightmares stop. So she would  do what ever it took for Roza to feal better.

The Gladius on Anaxes was a stark contrast to the one hosted on Olavan. Where Olavan put forth their culture, their art, their flavor, Anaxes showed off its tight association with the military wing of the Jedi Order.

Then again, everything about Anaxes was military. This was their culture, their art, their flavor. For Astra, seeing even the students of Anaxes train, study and move like the Cadets of Serrano was a eye opener.

The opening celebration only proved to her this close association at all levels of the Anaxes Academy.

For Astra, watching Sol compete in lightsaber duels was a treat. He was focused and determined. His first official match pitted him against Atril Thel-Tanis's twin bother, Durro Thel-Tanis. While the twins shared some features and the last name, that was it. Sol made short work of the teenager.

However the very next day in Sol's third match, he was paired off with Atril. Sol held his own till the second round where she dominated the round. Despite Sol's best efforts, Atril just scored more points and was declared the victor by round four.

Sol walked up to a waiting Astra. Unknown to him, Atril was speeding up to him. As he motioned to Astra, Atril called out, "Kenobi"

He turned to face her, "yeah," he said confused to see her right after their match.

"Hey, you did really good out there," she said holding out her hand.

Sol smile and took it, "thanks, man you were a beast after that first round." He turned to Astra, "this is my....." he paused a moment as if catching a word in his mouth. "My bestfriend, Astra."

Atril smiled broadly, "Astra, pleased to meet you," once more she held out her hand for Astra to shake.

Watching Sol duel was incredible. His hard work over the last month had payed off.. though  when he took on Durro's sister. Well that was a different  story.

Astra want nothing more the to hug Sol after his match with Atril but unfortunately  that was not exactly  an option. So she forced a smiled and shook the other teens hand. " I'm Astra  it's nice to meet you" she said.

Astra blinked " also Atril you a scary. I saw what you did, the first round  you were studying  him. Then you changed tactics  to take advantage of anywhere you saw his style was week right" she said. She half wondered how Sol did not see that but it was ok. He had been busy fighting. Astra  smiled at Sol absinthe mindedly fitaling with the bracelet  he had give her.

As Astra fidget with her bracelet, she heard sounds in the distance. Her eyes glazed over as she saw a dark and foreboding forest take shape in her mind's eye.

The bitter sounds of Lightsaber clashing against each other as a pair of combatants take part in a lethal dance of supremacy.

Her vision ended with a man gazing down at a wounded, disarmed and kneeling Atril Thel-Tanis, "you have been found guilty of treason against the Jedi Order," his blade and hers crossing at her neck.

The sound of Atril speaking seeped back in. The words lost in the moment, and no one aware of what Astra just experienced.

"What is it like to train under Master Windu," Sol asked with more than just curiosity in his voice.

"Its nothing like I would have expected. He is very demanding, more so than I could have imagined," Atril explained. "And you, How is Lord Serrano."

Sol frowned, "I haven't been selected yet." He paused, where did you hear that from," he asked in a surprise.

"Your brother Obi-Wan," She said tilting her head. "I met him on Olavan last year," she added.

Astra gasps shook her head and took several  steps backwards. Only to trip on her own feet, and fell. She had been startled by the vision. " I'm ok just a bug startled me" she said quietly  getting back to her feet. She would  have to tell Master  Xie Mease about  it later. There was no point in upsetting  anyone.

Astra looked at Sol " your brothers name is Obi-Wan?" She asked. Then she looked back at Atril. " lord Sereno kinda scary iv never actually  seen him but from  what I've heard. That man is tarifing." She said.

Sol was the first one to lend a hand to help Astra back to her. There was more than just concern in his eyes as he looked at her. It was if he knew she was lying. To his credit he said nothing.

When he did finally speak he answered her, "yes, an older brother." He added laughingly, "and trust me, one of the most cruelest of pranksters."

Atril laughed at the joke, "he said as much when we met." She blinked to Astra, "I just saw Lord Serrano." She turned and pointed to him across the promenade. "There he is, speaking with that hooded Master."

Sol blinked, "really, what did my brother say," he asked.

Astra was thankful that Sol did not say anything. She did not want to alarmed Atril. With was it a vision  it had to be right. Well what ever it was it was the future. She would  let Master mease know and she could  decide  what to do.

" how much  older what school  dose he go to" she asked. A failing attempt to forget the horrible vision  she just saw.

Astra blinked and her eyes went wide. " t-the hooded man. W-we should  go somewhere  else" she said. Almost frightened she was worked about  Sol's  saftly and at the moment Atril's as well. " iv seen him before  several  times he only shows  up when there is trouble." Astra said.

Sol and Atril both looked concerned as Astra spoke, "if there is something going on than maybe we should confront it," Sol said holding Astra's hand to give her strength.

Atril nodded, "no one messes with my friends," she glanced at Sol and Astra. "Even if I just met them," she added with a laugh.

Sol turned to Astra, "tell me, what do you want to do."

Astra just stared at them. " are you two crazy last time he showed up a cadet and a member of a academy academy ships crow died" Astra said. She was genuinely  unnerved  for a moment.

" we should  ether confront  him witch given he's a master  is a bad idea or go find one of are masters and advice them of the situation" Astra said. She know better  then to take on a master. She also know that were ever that man showed up trouble followed.

She thought  for a few more seconds. Atril was so nice how could  she ever comment treason agents the jedi. It did not make sence. She shook her head there was no way of knowing if it was a vision  or not.

Atril nodded then gave a respectful bow. On that she turned and walked away.

Sol then turned to Astra, "okay something is bothering you. So if it is that guy over there, than lets go do something about it."

He was genuinely worried for her and that was evident in his voice.

She turned to glare  at Sol only for her glare to disaper as she caught how Worried  he was. " I saw sumthing  earlier  Atril she's is going to be charged with treason and killed, I didn't not want to alarm or upset her because  visions  of the future  if that's what it was are not always  true at least according  to the instructors, and then the apperince of the Hooded man  he is dangerous  Sol evey time sumthing  bad happens  he shows up or was already around" Astra said finaly. She wanted to go find Atril  and keep her out of danger  now.

Astra  blinked " gift you call possibly  predicting someone's death a gift?" Astra said. She was not at all thrilled of all the " gifts" jedi could  have why was hers so tarifing.

" I don't know, Atril just said he was a master so it's not like we can just confront him and all the other masters here seam to trust him. So are best bet is probably to try and find out who he is"" she said quietly.

A man walked up to the pair. He was small in build and had thin unkept hair, "hello," he said softly. "I am Blixer," said with an odd smile. "I watched your match with Atril Thel-Tanis," there was a hint of pride in his voice. "You have some cool moves."

Sol looked suspicious, "um...okay,"

Bkixer waved his hands, "no no its not like that. I am a Gladius fan boy. I watch all the numbers and events. I know talent when I see it."

He pulled out a data pad, "I just wanted your autograph." He placed a smile on his face and the data pad extended half way towards Sol.

Astra  blinked  already  not thrilled. " I'm so sorry but we are kind  Busy at the moment" Astra said sweetly. She was unsure  about  this man. She stepped  infront  of Sol.

" Sol we were headed back to ate instructors right" Astra said. She did not want to upset or hurt the man's fealing but right now she did not trust  him.

Blixer frowned, "I am sorry. I don't mean to upset you, or offend you."

He bowed slightly as a show of respect, "please forgive me." He pulled his data pad back. "It's just a signature," he said offering the data pad for Astra. "You can check if you desire," he said showing her the data pad.

With Astra standing between them, it was now up to her to take the pad and hand it to Sol or to refuse the man's request.

Blixer bent down, "oh I am sorry. That silly thing," he said picking up the pad. "I thought I fixed that." He pulled out a cloth, "here, let me help you with that cut."

Sol gritted his teeth, "you know, I don't think you need anything more from us..." Sol was angry, "take a hike."

Blixer held up his hands, "okay okay." Taking his data pad the squarely man backed away till he turned and hated his departure.

"Some people," Sol said. He took her hand with care, "are you okay?"

As the pair walked up to the two men speaking, Astra started to speak, as Sol had his own plans at uncovering who this man was that threatened his love. He pretended to trip and fell in to the back of the hooded Master. "Oh excuse me," he said ripping the hood of.

Master Palpatine turned around, "Oh goodness my boy," there was no sign that he was aware that Sol had planned his 'accident'

Though Astra caught Lord Serreno's eyes and she knew, he knew.

"Lord Serreno," a female voice spoke, "does your Academy always produce such clumsy Cadets?" A white haired woman said as she walked up.

"Princess Delphinium," Master Palpatine said softy, "the young man merely tripped.

Lord Serreno's face grew red with anger, "Crown Princess," he said with a scowl in his voice. "These two were just telling us of an intruder within the Gladiolus." He turned to face Astra, "Please continue my dear."

"Ah yes," Master Palpatine added, "please tell us of this intruder."

The three stood there waiting for Astra to speak.

Astra blinked and stared at Sole shocked. she turned to look at the princess. " Crown princess please forgive my friend Sol was upset by the insolent he probably was not watching where He was going, and did not intend to trip" she said bowing politely. then turned her attention to the men. she held her hand out to show them the cut on her finger. " He said his name was Blixer he approached Sol and I with a data pad clamming to be a fan of the Gladiolus and asked Sol to Sine it. I thought there was something off about the guy so i got between him and Sol and polity asked him to leave us alone. He kind contuse asking to i looked at the pad and got cut by it That's when Sol steeped in and told him to leave" She said

Lord Serreno turned to the man next to him, "Master Palpatine," he said softly. "Your thoughts,"

He thought carefully, "I do sense a plot, but not one aimed at the Gladiolus or the Cadets." He turned to the Crown Princess, "isn't Baklid assisting with the security, this year."

She let off a huff, "we are," her eyes narrowed at Lord Serreno, "I believe we were volunteered for such efforts."
Lord Serreno smiled, "I knew that your skills would be best served."

"Fine," she said then turned to Astra and Sol, "Can you describe this man."

Astra thought for a moment " he was small with messy hair " Astra said. The look on her face was one of contemplation.

Princess Delphinium nodded, "Thank you youngling....."

"She is but a student at the Academy," Lord Serreno corrected.

"You know, Lord Serreno," Princess Delphinium said coldly, "I will personally report back should we locate this intruder." On that she turned, flipping her long white hair over her shoulder and walked away.

Sol stood next to Astra without realizing his hand on her shoulder. The moment of tension was slip by laughter from Master Palpatine.

"You know, Lord Serreno," he playfully said. "I don't think she likes you too much."

"I don't believe so," Lord Serreno added before turning back to the two children. "Thank you children for that opportunity," there was a pleasant smile on his face and in the tone of his voice. "Is there anything else," he asked.

He smiled and nodded, "I believe we met briefly on Olavan," His voice kind and his eyes showing a respect that she hadn't seen before in others. "You were in the kitchen with the other Students. I walked in," He smiled, "your team was so busy, I didn't make a fuss. I asked for a bottle and you handed it to me."

Lord Serreno nodded, "Master Palpatine is the Grand Master of the Olavan Academy and Warden of the Star Light Prison."

"Master," Lord Serreno said with the utmost care, "that restaurant no longer exists. You have not been to Serreno in nearly a decade." Lord Serreno smiled softly, "though not that I haven't tried."

"Yes, yes," Palpatine dismissed as he waved his hand, "I know, I have been very busy." He bent closer to Astra, "still, the lake is there, and it makes for some wonderful, peaceful time."

He righted himself, "Why do you ask, My Dear?"

" i..um..I there is a man that where's clothing  like yours and dose not show his face the instros don't question  him. He always  shows up when there is trouble. The last time I saw him a student  from are academy  along with a Crewman  from  the ship we were on died." She said quietly  knowing better  then to lie to a jedi master.

There was clear shock in the old Master's face, "died..." he said in surprise. "Lord Serreno," he questioned.

Lord Serreno frowned, "she is speaking of the Somning Incident." Lord Serreno stated as a matter of fact. "She along with a few other students were exposed to toxic levels of coolant."

"Ah, yes," he said nodding. "I remember reading something about that while I was at Star Light. Wasn't the Captain found guilty of negligence."

Lord Serreno nodded, "he was."

"Lord Serreno," Palpatine said motioning to Astra, "clearly this young girl is still suffering from the side effects. What is your Academy doing for her."

Lord Serreno's eyes softened a bit, "we have brought in some of the best medical personal on world. Palpatine frowned but before he could speak, Lord Serreno spoke up, "I believe you have your answer child,"

Before Lord Serreno could finish, Palpatine spoke up, "please Lord Serreno. The girl is confused and hurting. We do not become angry at someone who lashes out when they are hurt. We strive to ease their pains and lessen their suffering."

With this years Gladiolus winding down, the exceptions were high on the battle between Atril Thel-Tanis and Kaylessa Krishan. And for the first time in decades, the Shribeh didn't win. The two female combatants tied in score! Though Elmyra Krishan didn't compete this year. This allowed Atril to share first place with Kaylessa.

But that wasn't the only surprising news. A male body was found in one of the trash compactors. He was I identified as Iolas Inaro, an Outer Rim Bounty Hunter. The marks left behind on the compactor door suggests that he, somehow, fell in to the compactor and became trapped. During the normal operation of the day, the Bounty Hunter was crushed to death. It was a tragic accident, though no one has been able to figure out what he was doing at the Gladiolus. Though for one female student from Serreno, the image in the media of Iolas sent chills down her spine.

The speeder came to a stop and Sol quickly got out. "Don't move, I will get you," he said as he rushed to the other side of the speeder and helped a blindfolded Astra from the speeder.

"Okay, so I know you have been bummed out by not being allowed to go on your Gathering," he said softly as he led her further and further away from the speeder, "but today is a special day. Today, we have been friends for over four years." he said taking her hand. "Now don't move" he said softly and close to her face. He moved than went back to her face, "no peeking!" he lowered himself and carefully lifted up one of her feet. He took her shoe and sock off. He let her foot rest in the soft sand. He repeated this with her other foot. Then he rolled up her pant legs. Her skin was always so soft.

He snapped out of it and tossed his own shoes off, "okay, here we go," he said leading her in to cold waters of the lake. One her feet were covered by water did he remove the blindfold and allowed her to see the natural wonders of her world. Lake No'iona was beautiful right before sunset as the rays of the setting sun danced across the calm waters.

You know getting  on lord Sereno's bad side is a really  bad idea right" she said remembering the after  math  of the Gladis almost three years ago. He shrugged, "once more Lord Serrano is on one of his secret negotiation missions. The man is more secretive than the Botham are."

The restaurant was a lovely little place that had a dining area over the lake. There were signs of fresh paint and new furniture.

He leaned back nervously, "its not that I don't want you to meet them. Its just, you make it seem like you have to meet them." He looked down, "Obi-Wan, never took his girlfriend, well, wife, home to meet them." He laughed, "I don't they even noticed that he is married."

He frowned, "mother would've though. But father, father is focused on work. He has been since mother was killed."

His frowned deepened, "I mean, the extended family is fine, I guess. But the last two years I was home, father would come home, go to bed, and be gone for work before I woke up the next morning."

"Obi-Wan and I, well we watched it all fall apart after mother died," he explained. "Father tried for a few months. Maybe even a year, but after that. He just, well, disappeared."

So while he was pushing and training, I got to spend more time with my mother. She was an incredibly kind woman. She used to lead these humanitarian missions to the Outer Rim. Work with her fellow Nobles to raise money and help communities out here that were struggling."

The dorms were a buzz of activity as this was a very special day for nearly all Students in Astra's class. This was the day that they were either chosen to continue their education among the Jedi, or be sent to other public schools across Serreno. For those remaining within the Jedi Academy system, their fate was in flux as well. A lucky few were chosen to continue on the path of the Jedi Knight and invited to take part in the Gathering. While others were tasked with lesser roles in the Order, such as serving in one of the three military branches, or within the Service Corps.

What brought a student to this fork in their road. A wide number of factors played important parts. First and foremost was the MC Count. Was their count high enough to warrant more Force Training? And while a low MC Count wouldn't remove a student from the Academy, it would close some doors for them. Second was their general mannerisms, demeanor, and their nature. Were they mentally fit to continue to serve the Jedi. Grades, Interview results and peer interviews were all vital in finding the right path for the hundred students in Astra's class. Then there were those who willing choose to serve the Jedi in lesser roles. Out of Sheer respect, such requests are approved nearly all the time.

Then there are the Cadets from across the parade grounds. For them, this day was no different. Beyond popular belief, not all Cadets are allowed to move on to become Jedi Knights. They still undergo the same evaluations as the Students get. However, they do get the added benefit of mentors, tutors, and extra lessons. Families normally spends thousands to tens of thousands credits on ensuring that their Cadets have all the possible advantages available to them. Coupled with the added benefit of having seats on the Gathering reserved for certain families.

For one student, Roza, she walked in to her final interview and made the request, that she be allowed to join Service Corp as a healer. Despite having a very low MC, Roza was assigned to the Medical Branch of the Service Corps. With departure orders set for 07.02, Roza will be sent to Olavan to continue her education as a Jedi Medic.

We find Roza in her dorm room alone, gazing out the window, a tear in her eye. As Astra enters, Roza turns to greet her, "Astra!" she said wiping the tears from her eyes.

" come on let's go find out how to Die your hair" she said. They did eventually  find some one to help a Noble girl to help. Once they know how to die Rozas hair they return  to the dorm with proper supplys and start  the process  of Dyeing Roza's hair.

They had to start by bleaching her hair then using the red hair die. Roza's hair turned out a little  brighter  red then hers but it was close enough. " it's a bit brighter  then mine but it should  darker to my color  in a few days or weeks" Astra said as she put roza's hair up in a half braid like her own hair.

Roza laughed, "you know, ma sœur," she said speaking her native language. Astra knew enough, that Roza was calling her sister. A phrase she had heard Roza use many times.

"Your Baklid sisters, know your desires and are here for you." She took Astra by the hand, "I know you care about me." She rolled her eyes playfully, "so many nights you holding me and trying to comfort me after those horrible nightmares. Trust me, I know."

She shrugged her shoulders, "so I called out to some of my fellow sisters and brothers here at the Academy and well, think of it like a going away party for me."

Her mischievous smile returned, "but its really my gift to you." She crossed her arms while holding the garment. "Now are you going to get those nasty robs and Jedi blah off, or do I have to strip you!" Her tone filled with playfulness and her smile never yielding.

"I didn't, they were planning it," she said as three other Baklid local girls walked in to the room. "As I said they planned it as a going away party. Most of us Baklins are being shipped off to the Service Corps or to the GAO."

She shrugged as the group started to get Astra dolled up in traditional Baklid style.

"The party is only for us Baklins, but we have special permission for you," she explained.

The four girls worked for over an hour to get Astra and themselves ready for the unofficial party. In the End, Astra looked like a headed Boklid local. Then again, Roza and Astra really did look like sister.

By late afternoon, Astra and her female entourage were heading to the old warehouse at the edge of the campus.

Upon arrival, Astra thirty or so Boklins dressed in bright colorful grab dancing to music she guessed had to be from Baklid.

When Roza arrived, it was clear the party was ready to get started.

Once making it to the where house  Astra  just stared. " iv never sean so may bright colors in one place" she said and looked to Roza to lead the way.

The dancing and music was festive, fun and filled with energy. Roza never left Astra's side, offering translation services for the new members of the Academy from Baklid. There wasn't many, but they sure did enjoy talking Astra's ear off.

Roza was to the rescue as she pulled Astra towards the dance floor. "Your gift is here," she playfully said.

As the dancing continued, she shifted as if spinning around then someone helped Sol slide in next to Astra. Before anyone could say anything, Roza placed her arms around both of them.

"You two," she said just over the loud music. "Are my family. I love you two with all my heart," She said as she pulled both in to a hug.

Astra  enjoy  the party and talking to everyone  and Roza. That was until she  pulled to the dance floor by Roza and Sol showed up. Astra's face turned bright red and Astra froze until  Roza higed them.

Astra smiled returning Roza's  hug. " I love with all my hart too" she said to her sister. " I'm so glad to have you two as family" she said. She cast a glance  at Sol and her face turned red again.

" this is so much fun. Just what we all needed befor going are separate  ways. Roza I bet you will be an amazing  Jedi healer" Astra said with a smile.

Roza smiled, "and you will be a great Jedi Knight." On that note, Roza was pulled away by one of her friends. Astra watched her being led up to a boy about Roza's age. Roza wasted no time in fidgeting with her hair as the two spoke. The smile on her face and the blush on her cheeks was more than enough to tell Astra that Roza liked this boy.

As Astra watched, she suddenly felt disoriented, as the music lessened in volume. A chill blew up her back, despite Astra knowing that this large room was hot due to all the bodies and dancing going on. Then it all stop!

Astra's eyes adjusted as she saw herself standing before a door. A door, she most desperately wanted to walk through. Her hands and neck failed her commands as her eyes searched around. She was in her old Dorm Room. Her eyes shifted back to the door and the desire to walk through it. Though her perspective placed her higher than the floor. Her mind raced, was she floating? There was another cool breeze at her back. The window to the dorm room must be open. And a shadow moving behind her. Was it a tree? Astra felt part of her mind crying out for her to scream, to fight, to do anything but take a step. The other part of her mind saw the door and knew she wanted to step through it. Why....was a question that the answer alluded her. She felt a tear dripping from her eye and down her check, why was she sad. Once more the door came to view and that desire to step through it caused her leg to move forward......

"Astra," Sol said with deep concern in his voice. Roza stood just behind him. In fact, the entire room was now focused on Astra as she laid on the ground. The music had stop for some reason. "Astra, are you okay.." Sol carefully lifted Astra up in his arms.

Astra blinked " What happened, I was here one minute  then the next I was in the dorm  room  it was cold and there was a shadow. I couldn't  move and I was sad. Why" she looked up at Sol and Roza confused  and scared. " if this is what ot means to be gifted in the force  I'm not shure I like it. " She said bursting  into tears and huging Sol.

It was a few minutes  be for She calmed down and wiped the tears from  her  face. " I'm sorry guys, I'm fine I did not mean to scare eveyone. Let's have some fun please" she said smiling sweetly  at eveyone.

She was defiantly  not ok but she would  hide it. This would  be the last night some of these people  would  see echother. She did not want it ruined for them. Especially  not Rzoa who she know there was a boy she liked here.

As she started to cry, Sol carried away from the main crowd of people while Roza played interceptor. Between the two of them, they managed to get Astra to a place in the old warehouse where she can recover alone.

"Don't say you're sorry," Roza said kneeling next to a cradled Astra. "You have nothing to apologize for."

Sol gave Astra a look, "I am going to take her back to her room."

Roza nodded, "right, let me go get our things." Roza started to raise up. Astra noticed Roza's eyes on the boy she was speaking with before. Sol was getting Astra ready to leave.

Roza paused there was clearly mixed emotions on her face. She was clearly worried about her best friend. Her mouth opened as her eyes signaled her rejection.

However Sol spoke first, "yeah you stay here. I will take Astra back to my Dorm room. My Roommate is on mission, so she can sleep in his bed."

Roza shifted her stance to a more protective one, "I don't know."

"Roza," Sol said and pointed to the boy. "She is in good hands. I promise. Now go, have fun with your people."

Sol for all his good nature and kind heart, sometimes came off tone deaf to how he said things. He cringed when he realized the gaff.

Roza knew Sol for as long as she knew Astra. She waved off the mistake, "Astra," she said kneeling down next to her friend. "Breakfast," and then she whispered, "I better get all the details." She winked before standing up.

Astra giggled at Roza’s statement. “ Of course,” Astra said. Then looked at Sol “Do you have an alarm clock so we don't miss breakfast?” She asked.

As Sol carried her away she rested her head on his shoulder. “ You know I can walk right,” she asked with a smile. She was glad Sol was not going to leave her alone. After that vision she was not sure she wanted to be alone ever again.

Our story finds Sol standing on the balcony overlooking the massive skyscape of Coruscant. In the distance, the Jedi Temple stands against the setting sun. Lines of Air Speeders crisscross the sky as glows of orange dance off the clouds giving the entire area a lovely glow.

Sol’s dark blue Hunter Uniform stands out in the glow of the setting sun. His lightsaber hanging from his belt, and his Hunter’s Badge stands as testament to his achievement in becoming Jedi Hunter. Sol had only heard of the wonders of Coruscant, but seeing it was a whole other animal. The city world was simply amazing to behold.

Standing on the balcony of their suite on 500 Republica gave him a commanding view of the city. Still, his mind was focused on something else. He smiled as he heard Astra walking on to the balcony. He turned to greet her, "Lord Serreno is remaining at the Jedi Temple, tending to some meeting. He said he won't be returning till late tomorrow morning. He is giving us the night off."

Sol smiled, "So I was thinking," he said pulling the bottle of wine from its hiding place behind a nearby chair, "Dinner and drink."

Astra smiled, “ you know i think i prefer the lake on sereno to the city you know what lake im talking about right.” She said as she stepped onto the balkany. She looked over the city for a moment then looked to Sol. “That sounds like a nice evening to me. How’s it feel to be a Jedi hunter” She said, continuing to smile.

She looked out across the city and frowned. “Am i forgetting something” she said quietly to herself. She shook her head and refocused on Sol. “ Let's hope we can have a nice evening without interruptions. Your sure Lord Sereno is staying at the Temple tonight. Why did he bring us out here in the first place” Astra said, having distracted herself. She was letting her mind wonder. Something she did not do often she usually tried to keep her thoughts and emotions in check. But when she and Sol were alone she was free to be herself.

She stepped over to Sol and hugged him. “ I'm glad I'm here with you, so what do you think we should eat? You are always several steps ahead of me” she asked.

Sol smiled as he turned to see the massive city before them, "I don't" he said softly with a smile. He motioned for her to join near the railing. "I think each has its own beauty."

"As for being a Hunter," he said toying with his badge. "I like it," there was a hint of pride in his voice.

He listened to her fear of interruptions, "I am pretty sure he won't return tonight. He seemed pretty frustrated, though I sense dishonesty from him. If I didn't know better, I would actually suspect that he enjoys these high level meetings with the Council."

He pulled her towards and slid in behind her as his large arms pinned her between the between him and the railing. "You are here because that is your place, beginning his Padawan." He kissed the back of her neck. "I am here by the Orders of Lord Serreno to protect a member of the Dooku family." He pulled in closer to her and kissed her neck again. "A task that I shall not fail at," he said playfully.

"I hear the chef here makes a Ewok Steak that is simply to die for," he said softly in her ear."

" Sol you know I can defend myself right, and please don't say that. The lady Dooku stuff is a little too fancy for me" she said. As she looked out over the city.

" I am glad I have you to take care of me. I probably would have continued studying and forgotten to eat if you were not her." She said putting her hand over his.

She leaned back into him and relaxed. Closing her eyes taking a deep breath. " Ewok... But I thought they intelligent like are level intelligent so would that be wrong"  Astra said frowning.

Sol pulled back and spun her around to face him, "after what happened to Roza, no one still understands why it happened. And that slimo is still out there." There was anger in his voice. "So when you leave the Academy, by order of Lord Serreno, you will be under guard at all times," his lips curled in to a smile. "A task I shall take very seriously."

He shrugs, "there large walking teddy bears that I hear taste so good when prepared correctly." He blinked as he watched her eyes, "fun fact, did you know that there over a thousand chefs across the Galaxy that has some measure of specialty on cooking or serving Ewok?"

Astra looked as if she might cry for a moment. She still felt responsible for Roza's death. " I know Sol you don't need to remind me. I can't get that vision or finding her out of my head. I wish there was a way to forget those memories. So it would be easier to remember her as she was before she..." She trailed off. She took a deep breath and forced the feelings and memories away. " I miss her" she added finally.

" No, I did not know that," she said after a few moments. She smiled at him. " you know I know little about the Galaxy beyond the Jedi and Sereno. I'm not even sure where my actual home planet is." She said with a smile.

" So do the Jedi serve the Senate?  And are Mandalorians as violent as the stories make them seam?" Astra asked.

He held her tightly, "I miss her too."
He paused a moment as he let the moment passed.

He shook his head, "the Jedi Serve no one. We are loyal to the Light and only the light." He smiles softly, "as for the Mandalorians, they are a shadow of thir former selves. Now they are slim sucking assassins and bounty hunters. They are not the noble warrior they had once been."

Astra huge Sol resisting the urge to cry. " It just does not make any sense. Why target a student and one that doesn't have much force ability to begin with" Astra said shaking her head. It was a history she could not drop. " I want that bounty hunter Dead" she and coldly.

"Assassins and bounty hunters are illegal right, also can you tell me anything, about what Lord Sereno expects from his padawans because I'm afraid I still have not quite figured it out. He's hard to read and I feel like I'm failing half the time. Is he so hard on you?" She asked.

"I am sure you heard the rumors of his falling out with Dooku leaders. I mean, yes he is the head of the Family, but they were pissed that he forced your adoption."

" Everything thing about my getting this far has been strange you know. I just want to know how I got so lucky. Orphans don't usually get into Jedi Academy, and they especially don't get to be padwone." She said shaking her head.

" I also don't want to sound ungrateful" she added after a moment. Something in her stance giving away that she was bothered by this history.

She looked out over the city. Smile. " we should probably order are for dinner it will probably take a bit for it to be made," she said.

"Okay, I see your point but its also not unheard of." He set back and spoke calmly. "Take your class. Serrano Academy took in over a hundred Students. A third of them orphans from three dozen worlds."

"So that's not unheard of. And well okay, you became a Padawan, that is uncommon, and to a Master like Lord Serrano, well thats more rare." He nodded, "then to be adopted in to the Family, yeah that is pretty special."

He shrugged, "I really don't know why. And while I am sure you can ask Lord Serrano, I doubt the man will give you a straight answer. I mean, I told you, he is a man of many secrets."

He frowned, "sometimes I think he loves it. The Council would select him for some ultra secret mission or negotiation, and yeah on the surface you can see he hate themselves. But then if you know how to look or what to look for, you can see this glint in his eyes. I think deep down, the man really loves playing spy."

He leaned forward and poured two large glasses of wine. "I sometimes wonder if this is the reason why he has such issues with the ruling elders of the Dooku Family."

He leaned and smiled, "Astra I don't care why. You are noble now. There is nothing that could stand in your way."

He got up and moved next to her. Resting a hand on her knee, "you can achieve anything you set your heart to." With that he kissed her softly.

Astra set on the side of the medical examination bed waiting for the droid to return.  The look of disconnect on her face explained her reason for being in the medical lap.

The Droid rolled in and reached out its arm, "after doing the tests twists, I am happy to report you are not suffering from any known illness."

The mechanical voice continued, "in fact you are in prefect health."

Almost as if reading her face, "the reason for your current condition, I am happy to report, you are expecting."

Sol's face shifted through a wild and wide range of emotions, from shock and fear to surprise and wonderment. He finally settled on wonder as he shifted and rose to his feet, "I'm going to be a father," he half asked, half stated. And without giving her a moment to even consider the question or an answer he yelled out in a joyous loud voice, "I'm going to be a father!" Part of the Cadets nearby hushed him, while others took sudden interest to the now public conversation. He grabbed her up in his arms and spun her around with all the joy of his heart, "I'm going to be a father," he cried out loudly again.

Then suddenly setting her back down and slighting bending over as if speaking to her belly, "sorry...." he gazed with tears of joy on his face, "I'm going to be a father...."

The old Master looked up fron his desk, "Ah Sol, Astra, I am glad to see you."

"Master," Sol said determined, "Astra and I have to tell you something of great importance."

Lord Serrano rose up from his desk and walked around it to face the two young adults, "you have my full attention," he said calmly.

Sol nodded, "okay Astra, tell him."

As they walked to Lord Sereno's office she smiled at Sol. " If it's a Girl we should name her Roza I don't know about a boy's name though " she suggested. She started to calm down some until they got close to Lord Sereno's office.

Astra looked at him almost panicked. " Sol and I are umm... Well, you see Master" she shook her head.  She stepped behind Sol. " I'm pregnant Master," she said finally.  She shut her eyes and held onto Sol's arm tightly. She expected Lord Sereno to be angry.

Lord Serrano stood there silently for a moment before Sol spoke up in a brave, foolish, yet still brave tone. "And I want....no, I will marry Astra.." he lowered his tone as if being stared down by the Jedi Master. "With your permission, Master."

Lord Serrano spoke calmly and with care, "Astra, come here," he demanded waiting for her to step out from behind Sol."

He changed his tone as Sol just stood there dumbfounded, "but first we have a problem. We have been invited to the Royal Coronation of Crown Princess Lenora Delphinium. She will becoming their next Queen."

He leaned back in his chair, "I wasn't planning on going but the Dooku elders believe this is a good opportunity."

He frowned, "the Elders have demanded I attend despite my desires not to. Which means both of you will be joining me."

"Padawan," he said with authority. "Focus," he demanded.

"Hunter Kenobi," Lord Serrano called, "threat assessment."

Sol took a moment to collect himself, "um Master," Sol started desperately trying to get his mental footing. "The feud between Serrano and Baklid makes this a rather dangerous mission." Sol nodded, "but then again, I concor with the Elders, this could prove to be an opportunity. At the very least should anything go wrong, blame will fall solely on the Delphiniums."

Astra squeaked and jumped backwards. She drooped her head " I'm sorry Master, Please forgive me" She said. She had been distracted she know better but still let it happen. "But master the Delphiniums will be focused on the Coronation, It seams unlikely they would attack on such an important day. at least the Princess is unlikely to plan such an attack. If anything they would try and insure your safety as if harm comes to you it would likely spark war" Astra said.

The voice on the other side responded in surprise, "Lord Serreno, you don't want to take a warship?"

Lord Serreno shook his head, "No, there will be enough warships in orbit, I don't want to add more confusion. And anyway, I will be under the protection of Hunter Kenobi."

"Yes, Lord Serreno," the line went dead.

He smiled and looked back to Astra and Sol, "The Coronation is in a couple of days. Make sure you bring your dress uniforms. You will not be representing the Jedi Order. You will be in service of House Dooku. I expect both of you to dress and behave appropriately."

He paused, "Is that clear?"

Astra spoke up again " it might be a good idea to have at least one extra bodyguard along. Just a precaution. Master Jedi are not invisible if there is an attack an extra set of hands could be useful," astra said.

Astra nodded her understand" She looked to Sol, I should probably see if there is anything that medical do about the morning sickness it would not do to get sick during the ceremony," she said more to herself than to anyone. Her mind trying to prepare for the mission.

Sol relaxed a bit, "I would disagree with Astra Lord Serreno. Normally she would be right. But in this situation, as she said, they would be focused on the Coronation. I don't suspect that they would try anything." He smiled looking at her, "Astra is a competent fighter, but her gift would make the difference here."

Lord Serreno leaned back thoughtfully as he carefully considered both suggestions. The a smiled crossed his lips, "Padawan," he addressed Astra, "what is your opinion of the Crown Princess."

Lord Serreno nodded, "I understand that you don't have much control over it. But what ever you can offer can help. Sol is right, your gift could be the difference. And I don't want to act like we don't trust the Delphiniums."

He leaned forward on his desk, "that is a interesting question and the answer is different on who you ask." He frowned, "Both Serreno and Baklid are equally wealthy. Alone, among our trading partners, both worlds controls a great deal of influence in the Outer Rim. But, the families are arrogant." His frown grew, "including us. Instead of using our wealth and influence to help the Outer Rim, we used it to wage economic warfare on each other. We would celebrate their misfortune and they likewise. When things got hot, they exploded heavily. One could say that the feud started over Serreno being name Host World to the Region's Jedi Council. But in all truthfulness, it was going on long before that."

He leaned back in his chair and held his hands, with the palms facing upward, "we have as much blood on our hands as they do. Did you know, that we arm and incite their local conflicts. In fact the entire century of civil war that Baklid has endured, was started by my predecessor. Not that it really took a lot, but we were the match. Some ninety years later," his face grew dark and his voice filled with remorse, "and countless loss of lives, this Crown Princess is on the verge of ending that civil war, peacefully."

His face softened a bit, "there are those within the elders that want to see the war on Baklid continue. It has been very beneficial to their interests and bank accounts. There were those who wanted to assassinate the new Queen to keep Baklid in chaos." He smiled softly, "now they all want me to go in hopes of some rogue officer taking a cheep chance to kill me. For them, its a win win. I am removed, like the thorn in their side and they have an excuse to keep funding and arming the rebels on Baklid."

Astra shook her head" The Princess just wants an end to the war. She wants to stop her peoples from suffering." She said the look on her face one of understanding and compassion. That quickly turned dark. " Elders are wrong. They a contributing to the suffering of an entire planet, why would the Jedi stand by and do nothing" Astra snapped. The look on her face becoming a scowl.

" I think it would be a good idea if I never meet the elders of the Dooku family. That would never end well" she said.

We can look to the Jedi Code for guidance, but Padawan you must understand, peace can only be secured by those who want it. Peace forced through by arms won't last. When you remove those arms, conflicts will reignite."

She turned her head sideways the gears in her head turning. " So for there to be a piece between Bocled and Sereno, both ruling families need to want peace so we should be trying to convince the elders that peace is more beneficial," Astra said.

Then her mind caught Lord Sereno's statement " Weight what me replace you. I don't even think that is possible" she said her eyes going wide.

" I see now to figure out how to do that" astra said. Half of her wanting to reach out to the force and see what she could learn. The other half afraid to try it. After what had happened with Roza she was afraid to try leading to her difficulty using the ability.

" Master is the elders in control for their entire lifetime," she asked.

He drew in a deep breath as if the subject matter warranted it. "There are nine Elders in House Dooku. Each controls an equal part of the family holdings. All are Force Sensitive and members of the Jedi Order, well more like retired members of the Order. Their not evil people, just greedy." He held up a finger, "Padawan you must understand that while is Black and White, in which that is the realm of the Hunters. There are shades of gray, which is your domain. The Elders, because of their greed, exist within these areas of gray."

"During their time as Elders, they serve House Dooku. If they fail to serve with honor, than they are removed by the members of their own holdings. A successor is named and if the successor wins the support of their holdings than they become an elder. Normally an Elder will serve until they retire from family service. I have only heard of one Elder removed. That was linked to the scandal involving the Baklid Civil War and the former Lord of Serreno. Though the official records will show that they retired, trust me when I say this, it was a bitter struggle to remove them both."

He smiled and gave a nod, "luckily for you Padawan, you don't have to. That is my job. But I will tell you this. Nothing distracts a greedy person from a bad action like money from somewhere else." He smiled to her as he rose from his chair. "do you two have any other questions for me?"

" Just one of the elders are not fond of you wouldn't they just have me removed from the family of something we're to happen to you," astra said. She could she that he hoped she would take his place one day. But it seemed unlikely.

He smiled and shook his head, "there are limits to what the Elders can do. Removing you from the family would require cause. You would have to have broken oath with the family and as it stands now, there is little you can do to do that."

He smiled, "the best bet for success, Padawan, is to see a successful change of the guard on Baklid. Lets hope that the Queen is someone who can bring about that change."
