Can't Sleep 8/29/21
Laying in her bunk, Sinya found sleep alluding her. Sounds of repairs underway as the second shift continues, it had been a long day. And tomorrow was going to be even longer. Sinya had to get the Angel’s Blessing off the ground tomorrow.

Sinya worked through her emotions. She was angry with that traitorous bitch, Tesara. Despite learning the truth of Lysire, Tesara had betrayed them. But worse Tesara had betrayed their plans to get Lysire the help she so badly needed to fulfill her destiny.

Her mind raced as it twisted trying to understand Tesara's betrayal. She claimed to not wish to see needless death and blood shed, and yet her betrayal all but made it a certainty. Had Tesara hated them so much that she would ensure the death of Sinya and her family. Tesara had to understand that now Lysire's very life was in danger.

Sinya's teeth gritted in anger as she suddenly regretted saving the Little Jedi's life now. She had nearly even considered Tesara not a Jedi, only to be proven bitterly wrong.

She had expected such a betrayal from Durro Thel-Tanis. The name echoed venomously in Sinya's mind. The Jedi had stood as an ever present horror in Sinya's life. Telling Durrl the truth of Lysire was a calculated risk, though she had already made up her mind about the Jedi's fate.

Though Durro’s sudden change of heart was surprising. She didn't trust him, and his sudden desire to help them seemed all too convenient. She wouldn't lie to herself, his actions had caused her to second guess her plans.

Thanks to Tesara's betrayal now Sinya was worried if she should trust Durro’s change of heart. She considered just going over there and killing them all, but that would just be cold blooded. She gritted her teeth, she wouldn't sink to the levels of the Jedi.

Instead she rolled over and reached for her comlink. She dialed in Nova's contact and started to type. "I don't expect you to betray Ava. However, I need some information. That is, if you are willing to answers some questions. But more importantly, I have to be able to trust you."

Night rolled on as slow as it did the last time she was on Lanus, she sat at the computer watching whichever channel she could to find with any information about how Baklid and it's war was going. Nova sipped on the small glass of wine, her stash was slowly running out, as she felt her comlink vibrate on her wrist. 'Ugh who is that?' She thought as she pulled up the message and she smirked seeing it was Sinya. So she messages back, "Evening, Sinya. Surprised you are up right now. There might be some questions I can't answer as I rarely get invited to meetings or told anything nowadays." She sent as she stretched looking at the computer again waiting for another message.

Sinya smiled as she saw the reply, "well that was an okay sign," she mumbled to herself as she typed her reply. "its okay. Again, I don't want you to feel like you are betraying Ava. I know how important she is to you." Sinya sighed as she felt the bitterness of Tesara’s actions once more. "I just wanted to know more about this new Jedi Girl. I feel like to don't have enough information to act on. Can you fill in what you know?"

Seeing Sinya message her again, she leaned back in her chair and look at the ceiling to think. 'How much do I really know about Astra? How much am I realistically suppose to say?' She thought before softly smiling hearing Ava's voice as she went threw her memories before texting back. "I know very little, I only met her twice. She spent more time with Tesara than with me or Ava."

Not sending it quite yet as she then sighed shaking her head, 'Not going to talk about the child, don't need more leverage.' She thought as she then continued her message.

"All I know for certain is Queen that Durro is so fond of is her mother, and Lord Dooku was her adopted father before he died at the bombing at the Cathedral." Sending her message, so glad this wasn't over call.

Sinya smiled as she saw the reply, "coy little information whore," Sinya mumbled fondly with a playful smile on her face.

"The daughter of Queen Lenora? Wow, I didn't even realize that anyone could like that cold woman. And its not surprising that Durro is found of her."

She paused and considered if she should push Nova. Shaking her head, she continued typing.

"can you tell me anything about Mr. Lover Hunter Boy?"

She wondered if Nova would be truthful with her about this question. After all, Sinya knew how much Nova enjoyed knowing things... lots of things.

Nova saw the text as she glanced at the computer and began to pull up information on Quinn since she had the holonet right there.

"Oh goodness, that one is worse. Here is the thing, I didn't even know he existed until I was saving him from the crashed ship of the prime minister. I know less information on him than I do Astra. However I am at a computer so I could research him for you."

She sent as she shook her head before sending "I swear. Sinya you don't know what has happened to the J1 crew since Ossus. You are legit asking the wrong person." She sighed.
TheTraveler — 08/29/2021
Sinya looked at the text in genuine confusion. The J1 crew had always been tight, despite having not one but two Jedi scumbags aboard.

She frowned as she typed out her next text, "you are right Nova, I don't know. If its okay, do you mind sharing?"

Nova noticed the text and stopped looking on the computer and now texting, "This isn't the first instance where I am not told anything. J1 crew rarely ever tell each other anything until it is either too late or just before we leave planets. After Ossus, I was heavily yelled at for speaking of Lysire because apparently no one on that planet was suppose to know about her. Granted I was being influenced by a force user and their ability 'Friendship' nor told anything before it happened. But the spiral just continued from there where because of how easy it was to get information out of me, they cut me from everything."

Nova tilted her head feeling a tear run down her cheek which she wiped away and composed herself before she continued, "The only time I get information or even told anything is if I speak to the right people."

Simya felt her heartache as she read the words on the screen. Nova was many things. A Accidental Terrorist, a brilliant medic and doctor, and a loyal friend. She wasn't a blabber mouth. Sure she loved information, which made her a great person to talk to. But still....

She started to type, "Nova I am so sorry. Though there was some good that came from Ossus. Vala had reached out to us. If not for her help, Sha Koon wouldn't have been stopped." she paused wondering if she should continue.

"Nova you are a great friend. Both trusted and respected, you need to never forget that. I know we had our differences, but those are behind us now."

"You can consider me the right person. Just know, Lysire has a beautiful destiny ahead of her. It is why we changed the ship's name. You can help us bring that Destiny in to being, if you want to."
Lady Ryne Roke — 08/29/2021
Nova stared at her cup waiting before looking at the message, "It is nice to see that however, Ava and Ryan are my family. I am neutral, I help no side unless it helps my family. As you have your mother to get, I have no one but them."

She then frowns, "Wish things were different." She then began to write again, "Do be safe, I am glad my friendship with you didn't break like I thought it had."
TheTraveler — 08/29/2021
Simya frowned as she watched the words on the screen. She needed Nova's help, not because of Ava. Ava had a reputation to not get her hands dirty. No, she needed Nova's help because Nova was a fly on the wall around the Jedi.

She typed, "Nova that's not true. You have Lysire and myself as well."

She typed out, I am worried about you. The Jedi can make a person feel like they are unworthy or some how wrong. But then she deleted the words.

"Nova I am worried about you." and she really was. Her heartache as she remembered how Nova was willing to die at Daz Murl's hands to protect her. Nova was a true friend.

"Our friendship has never been stronger. You can trust in me, Nova."
Lady Ryne Roke — 08/29/2021
Nova stared at her phone, lost in her thoughts, "How can they trust me so? I have threatened Lysire twice and yet Sinya wants me on the ship again? What am I even suppose to do?" She rested her head in her hand as she thought still staring at the bracelet and Ava's name.

"Thank you for saying that but I won't be able to get you Astra nor Quinn." she would be separated from her love if she went with.
TheTraveler — 08/29/2021
Sinya laughed, "oh Nova, you are cute......" Sinya now speaking softly.

She typed, "Nova, you're adorable! But kidnapping is hardly your thing. And despite my earlier suggestion to that fact, I really don't want you to betray Ava."

She stared at the words for a moment. It was true, she really didn't want to put Ava and Nova at odds with each other. After all, from the sound of it, it seems like Nova has enough on her plate.

"When I suggested help, I meant keep in eye on the two Jedi," her face twisted in disgust as she typed the words. "I need to know what they are plotting. Can you help me like that?"

"I can not accept nor decline at this time. Maybe I will update you in the future or maybe I won't. It comes down to what I see because again, I don't get a lot of information anymore." She sighed as she texted again, "I will happily tell my friends if an event is going to happen that they wished to be apart of." Trying to speak in code because why not.
TheTraveler — 08/29/2021
Sinya frowned as she didn't know how to take Nova's last massage. Who did Nova mean by friends. Did Sinya misjudged the situation. Did Nova mean Ryan and Ava or did she include the two Jedi.

She was utterly confused by the words. She decided to let Lysire take a pick at it.

Still, Sinya didn’t want to waste the effort that both were clearly making. She started to type.

"Thank you Nova," she typed.

Then continue to type, please be safe and don't let them beat you down. You are a good person fighting the good fight against the evils of the Republic and Jedi.

She frowned and realized she sounded like one of those mouth pieces back on Baklid. She decided to delete most of her words.

She left, "please be safe and don't let them beat you down."

Sinya figured Nova who she was talking about with the word, them!

Nova noticed Sinya didn't ask for her to elaborate which made her giggle, "Silly Sinya." She then texted back,

"I will be safe, my dearest friend. My family won't know. <3"

Nova smirked, "Will you get the clues or will you not notice how Tesara and Durro aren't family nor friend as well as Astra?" She then shrugged and went back to watching news.
TheTraveler — 08/29/2021
Sinya read the last message and shook her head, "still an information whore, but I love you girl."

She rose up from her bunk and kicked her feet over the edge. She hit the main lights and yelled, "get up you dogs," she spat. "Crew meeting, now!"

Shd leaped from the bunk and moved to the intercom. She activated it, "crew meeting on the main deck! Everyone!"

She grabbed her shirt and weapons belt. She knew they didn't have time to rest. If they were lucky, Durro would do something foolish in the next few hours. If they were very unlucky, Tesara’s betrayal would mean Hunters would be on their scent.

Sinya knew that they had to get the ship ready for travel, now.
