(OOC: I hope this is good enough.)
Upon the bridge sat Mishka on the floor with Ryan curled up and asleep against her, his head gently resting in her lap. Her fingers gently brushed through his dark locks of hair, doing all she could to help him sleep peacefully. The sight of his tears and the pain in his eyes and voice had broken her heart for the man. She had never wanted to see his smile turn upside down and become the horribly pained expression she had witnessed.
With a tilt of her head, she gazed down at his sleeping form, too many emotions running through her mind to name them. Life was being so cruel to these people and she hated that there was nothing she could do to stop it. The only thing she could do was what her mother had taught her - show them they are never alone and remind them they are still loved.
A smile crossed her face at the memory of her mother explaining these things and she could not stop the soft hum that escaped her. It was an old melody, one her mother used to lull her into sleep with, but it was all she truly had aside from petting the man’s hair. She prayed the fabric of her dark kimono was comfortable enough for his head as she kept up the soft sound, prayed he would rest and wake feeling just a tiny bit better - it was all she could do.
All she wanted to do was help.

Tesara Anerin — 11/02/2021
Tesara exited the bathroom after a quick shower, feeling more like herself again. It was quiet, but grief hung in the air like a palpable thing. The dark side felt close, waiting for just the hint of despair to escape her for it to leap upon her. Sterling herself against it,
she walked silently down the hall, wearing her silly pajamas she had splurged on back on Baklid. They had monkeys on them that reminded her of home. She noticed the hatch to the bridge was open and knew instinctively that Mishka was up there with Ryan. She made a cup of hot cocoa (thanks to the new supplies they had purchased today) and went up quietly. Mishka was there, cradling Ryan in her lap like a lost boy. Her throat tightened. “Hi.” She whispered, holding out the mug to her friend.

Mishka Winlat — 11/02/2021
Turning her head at the sound of her friend, Mishka offered a kind smile. “Hello,” She whispered back, her hand never stopping at its action of stroking Ryan’s hair. “How are you doing, Tesara?” It was a genuine question, a real concern she had. Her friend had no clue if Pacey was alive or dead and now Ryan had lost the one person he cared for most. It seemed all of them were suffering loss now, but something deep down inside of Mishka knew things would get better.
Gently taking the mug with her free hand, Mishka took a sip and hummed in enjoyment. “Haven’t had hot cocoa in a long while.” She said with a smile.

((It's okay. Take your time. Real life is more important.))
Tesara Anerin — 11/02/2021
Tesara folds herself into a sitting position and nods. “ I knew I wanted it when I saw it.” She smiles. There was a long pause, and she wondered if all of them would stay sane through this. “ You’re very good at that.” She says quietly. “I’m good with physical healing but the mind is a harder thing to heal. You come by it naturally.”
@Mishka Winlat
Mishka Winlat — 11/02/2021
Mishka tilts her head to the side as she takes in Tesara’s words. “I only do what I can for the people I care for.” She answers softly and smiles down to Ryan’s sleeping form. “I wasn’t going to let him be alone when so much pain is going through him at the moment. Loneliness seems to be the darkest form of pain out there when we lose someone.” She lets that settle in and looks to Tesara. “It’s why I am able to cope so well. I have you and Ryan here. Losing my parents was painful, but there were people - kind people - there to help. With the loss of Aneta, I believed I had no one to turn to, but you and Ryan have been a great help. Sometimes, just being with a person can help them cope.”
@Tesara Anerin
Tesara Anerin — 11/02/2021
Tesara swallows. “You’ve been through so many horrible things.” She whispers so as to not wake Ryan. “The fact that you are not bitter and filled with anger is a testament to your character. I’m so glad you’re with us, Mishka.” She leans back. “Ryan loved Amy very much. I wanted him to be happy. I know he will be some day, but it seems very far away.” She said, and although it was out loud, it seemed as if she were speaking to herself.
@Mishka Winlat
Mishka Winlat — 11/02/2021
Mishka nodded and gazed at Tesara as she took a sip of the hot cocoa again. “Are you going to be okay, Tesara? I know we still haven’t found out anything about your…friend?” She inquired, unsure of what to call Pacey for the woman. It was obvious that they were involved, but she did not wish to step over a line of information here.
@Tesara Anerin
Tesara Anerin — 11/02/2021
Tesara felt the fear inside her chest begin to burn but took a few long, slow breaths until it’s grip had eased. “No. Not yet. Ava said she was sending a team to try and find him if he’s alive.” She closed her eyes. “I mean, we weren’t even officially a thing, you know? I just….I could see myself with him. Growing old, having children and grandchildren. And he might be dead because of a decision I made. It’s hard not to listen to the whispers of the dark side. I have to have hope.” She swallowed again.
@Mishka Winlat
Mishka Winlat — 11/02/2021
Keeping herself in place, Mishka reached out and gently touched Tesara’s arm. “Keep your hold on that hope. As living creatures with hearts and souls we have to hold onto hope.” She explains, that kind smile never leaving her face. “My mother used to tell me that sometimes hope is the best and only thing we can hold onto. It can help us survive just about anything. I believe he’s alive and that he will be found.” Slowly pulling her hand back, she returned to stroking Ryan’s hair. “I’m sure we’ll all find a good and happy future someday.”
@Tesara Anerin
Tesara Anerin — 11/02/2021
Tesara smiled. “There you go, being good at that again.” She looked down at her hands. “My mother said some thing similar. I wish I could be more like her. But I seem to somehow make things awkward.” Mishka could tell by the shift in Tesara‘s body language that this deeply troubled her. “I don’t know how or why or how not to.” She admitted. “I get teased about it.” She paused, then realized even that might be awkward too. “I look forward to going home to Baklid, but even that is uncertain.” She said, obviously trying to shift the conversation.
@Mishka Winlat
Mishka Winlat — 11/02/2021
Not wishing to make Tesara uncomfortable, Mishka thought for a long moment. “What’s Baklid like? I only know what I’ve read up on it and the little news that pops up here and there.” She says with curiosity and has to shift slightly to keep her legs from falling asleep. A glance down is all she does to make sure Ryan does not wake.
@Tesara Anerin
Tesara Anerin — 11/02/2021
Tesara smiles. “It’s lovely, warm and the sunsets are beautiful. But it has been wracked by war and greed and the subjugation of innocent people for too long. I wanted to help make a change in that regard, but I think Lady Forma is taking care of it.” She chuckled a little to herself. “We stayed at the summer palace that once belonged hed to Astra’s mothers family. It had massive gardens and a pool that I fell in love with. I can’t wait to take you there. You’ll have your own room and the food is amazing.”
@Mishka Winlat
Mishka Winlat — 11/02/2021
“I don’t need my own room to feel at home with people.” Mishka answers with a soft giggle that she hopes does not wake Ryan. “Though, it will be a nice change. That reminds me, I need to thank you for all the help with getting my clothes and the weapon. I really appreciate all the help you and Ryan have given me since we met.”
Giving Tesara the time to answer, she finally asks. “So, is there anything you want to do while I sit here?” She looked down at Ryan again, wondering if he would wake if she got up to stretch her legs.
@Tesara Anerin
Tesara Anerin — 11/02/2021
“Tell you what, we’ll switch places. You can go use the loo and stretch your legs, that way he’s not alone if he wakes up. We’ll go in shifts. Im not sure if he’ll wake needing spice or not.” She frowns, wondering when he took any last. Something seems odd but she can’t put her finger on it. She unfolds herself and scoots over, offering to gently and carefully take her place. @Mishka Winlat
Mishka Winlat — 11/02/2021
“Sounds like a plan,” Mishka says with a little shift of her body. Using both hands, She slips a hand beneath Ryan’s head gently and uses her other hand lift him by the shoulder. With a little work, she gets his head on Tesara’s lap and frowns. “I’m not sure he will need spice.” Getting to her feet, she leaves the room by climbing out and heading to the nearest loo on the ship. @Tesara Anerin
Tesara Anerin — 11/02/2021
Tesara sits for a long time, watching him. She’d never known anyone quite like Ryan. He could be inadvertently hilarious and frustrating all at the same time. Not for the first time, she wondered about his past and how he had met Ava. He was from their timeline, after all. She wondered what planet he had grown up on and how he had learned to fly so well. There was no doubting he was an amazing pilot. Why he wanted her to lose her virginity so badly was a mystery. Am I really THAT uptight?
She heard his voice in her head yelling YES! and she nearly laughed. As she sat she
fell into a calm, almost meditative state, humming to herself a tune she had heard her grandmother and mother use to calm upset children. She smiled, thinking that Ryan was just a big kid. She should be more patient with him. She did want to be another someday. Maybe this was good practice? She envisioned Jack is her mind, that shit-eating grin on his face after squeezing her ass.
Time slipped by as her mind wandered, but also aware of any movement he might make. @Mishka Winlat
Mishka Winlat — 11/02/2021
It took Mishka some time return, having taken a few moments to wash her face off and brush fingers through her hair that was now in need of a good brushing. Deciding her hair could get easily taken care of after a shower later, she returned to Tesara and smiled at the sight. “You seem a little more chipper now.” She comments as she takes a seat close to them, silently offering to take Ryan back. If he were to wake, she would not mind and would handle him the best she could.
For now, though, she just wanted to be here for both Tesara and Ryan. They had been here for her, for a complete stranger, and now she wanted to repay their kindness. That nature to help and her constant kind actions, though, came purely from Mishka’s heart.
@Tesara Anerin
Tesara Anerin — 11/02/2021
Tesara smiles as Mishka sits, but shakes her head when Mishka indicates she could take Ryan back. "We'll wait a bit longer, you were here quite a while." She says quietly. "I've been thinking. It's time I told you a little bit more about us. It's a fairly crazy tale, but I trust you and I hope you trust that what I am about to tell you is true." She says, watching Mishka.
@Mishka Winlat
Mishka Winlat — 11/02/2021
A perplexed expression crosses Mishka’s face, but she nods. “Okay, I’m glad to listen.” She says.
@Tesara Anerin
Tesara Anerin — 11/02/2021
Tesara looks down at Ryan, then back at her new friend. "Ryan, myself, Durro, Ava and her girlfriend Nova are not from this...." She frowned. "Timeline? Universe? I never really know how to describe it. Durro and I had booked passage on the Jupiter One, which is Ava's ship. Ryan is her pilot. We were leaving Alderaan as it was being attacked. We think we were blown into a black hole that threw us into this timeline. We're about 30 years in the past from our own timeline here. I'm not even born yet." She laughed softly. "We've been here a little over two years now. There are a lot of similar things to our own timeline, and a lot that is different. But the truth is, we don't think we'll ever actually get back there." She paused, watching Mishka's expression, knowing it sounded ridiculously far fetched.
@Mishka Winlat
Mishka Winlat — 11/02/2021
It took the half-Bothan a long moment to let all of this information process in her mind. It seemed insane and so out there that these people could be from another timeline or even a different universe, but the galaxy was huge. So much was possible and they didn’t even fully understand hyper space. Well, Ryan seemed to understand it, but there was still so much people did not understand in the galaxy, let alone the universe.
This all could be possible.
“Sounds rather stressful,” She finally commented with a slight frown. “It must have been quite a shock to find out when you arrived.”
@Tesara Anerin
Tesara Anerin — 11/02/2021
"Well first of all I would like to say thank you for not freaking out and calling the loony police on me." She grinned. "And yes, it was stressful. We were arrested immediately and discovered one of the biggest things that is different is that there are Jedi Hunters here. Born out of Lord Hoth's victory at Ruusan. In our timeline, he was defeated." She says. "From there, a large number of things sprang that differ. For instance, my homeworld? I told you it was a jungle, because it was. I was born on Lanus. It's horrible what my home world is here." She said softly.
@Mishka Winlat
Mishka Winlat — 11/02/2021
A frown forms on Mishka’s face at the mention of Lanus. “We will figure this all out, Tesara.” She says softly, resting a hand on Tesara’s shoulder. “I’m sure we will. It just takes time…”

"I was born in the Outer Rim," Ryan groaned softly. "A small world like Baklid, we orbited a Gas Giant, we called Allahian."
Ryan shifted a bit, "I was born to a peasant family. I smuggled my way off world when I was barely a teen."
He smiled as he gazed up to Mishka from Tesara’s lap, "and thank you."

Tesara looked surprised at his voice, as she did not realize he was awake. "Yeah, Mishka is pretty great." She smiled
Mishka Winlat — 11/03/2021
Mishka shook her head, smiling sheepishly. “There’s no need to give me thanks and praise. I’m doing what I can for the people I care about.” She explained softly. Looking at Ryan, her ears twitching with concern, she asked, “How are you feeling? Is there anything I can get you?”
@Tesara Anerin @TheTraveler
Tesara Anerin — 11/03/2021
Tesara didn't move, not altogether sure if Ryan quite grasped that he was lying in her lap. She waited for him to speak.
TheTraveler — 11/03/2021
Ryan sighed softy and struggled to stand, "I am sorry for earlier. He frowned as he finally stood up there was a bit of wobble in his stance. "I just need to get back in the pilots seat," he said with less confidence then he normally had.
He turned to Tesara, "that is all I need. Back to basics." He tried to smile but it wasn't really there. "Where to boss lady," he finally said with a hint of anxiety in his voice.

A frowned crossed Mishka’s face as she too got to her feet and went to Ryan, helping him make his way to the pilot seat. “I don’t think we’re quite ready to leave yet.” She explained with a glance back to Tesara. “You sure there’s nothing I can do for you?” Every part of her was trying to find a way to keep from leaving Ryan alone. She did not wish to risk anything bad happening in her absence at the moment.
