Sector 004, Northern Corridor
Stardate: 53832.05
Just outside of the system: UIH- 0351
USS Repulse NCC-2544
Vice Admiral David Tate, Commanding

During this time the USS Thunderchild is on the other side of Sector 004 at Starbase 74. With all of her fighters and axillary craft loaded and stored, she is picking up the last of her crew and preparing to get underway once more. It has been an unsettling thirty hours as the USS Susquehanna had some how slipped under the radar and vanished from the sector. The remaining ships of the 4th Fleet had been called up to assist in the search for the stolen runabout. At the current moment all ships and captains have been following the suggestions from Starfleet Medical in regards to the fugitive, Petty Officer Dolores Traver. Sector 004 has been placed on full alert as Starfleet continues to search for their stolen runabout and the fugitive.

All Federation and Starfleet ships in the Sector have been ordered to keep their sensors active for the stolen runabout. Still the runabout has managed to remain hidden from the search ships. A few reports have surfaced but they ended up being wild goose chases as no runabout was confirmed in the area. Reports of the attack on the USS Thunderchild has already been issued. The identity of the person responsible has been suspected as Petty Officer Dolores Traver. The report has also included her file from Starfleet Medical and the nature of her escape from their care. Petty Officer Traver has been described as suffering from delusions and should be considered dangerous. The reports instruct that Starfleet Medical should be contacted once the Susquehanna has been spotted. The chase was on, and Starfleet was not about to allow Petty Officer Traver's flight for freedom to continue much longer.

Within hours of the alert being issued The USS Repulse, under Flag command of Vice Admiral David Tate, has filed a report stating that they have the runabout on their sensors. The Susquehanna had been spotted by the USS Repulse heading at warp for the system, UIH-0351. The system is an uninhabited binary star system that holds a pulsar within it. Due to the nature of the twin stars and their interaction, much of the system is covered in a inversion field. Because of this field, subspace communications and short-range sensors are disrupted. This made traveling at warp within the system dangerous and tracking ships nearly impossible. Once the Susquehanna was spotted it increased its speed to its maximum warp velocity for the system. Even when the Susquehanna pushed maximum warp speeds, the USS Repulse along with her two sister ships could easily be able to catch the runabout before it reached the system.

When the alert hit the Subspace channels, Admiral Tate couldn't help but call off his war games and order his ships in a tight search pattern. During the Dominion War, much of his time was spent as a staff officer to then Vice Admiral Ross. In fact, this was the first time he had commanded a starship since he himself commanded the USS Thunderchild nearly ten years ago. The USS Repulse would normally be commanded by her captain, Captain Vakath. When Admiral Tate struck his flag aboard for the war games, he assumed command of the ship. He has yet to give up that command when the alert was issued.

For Admiral Tate, this was personal. When word came out that an intruder attacked Admiral Ross' previous flagship, Admiral Tate made it his personal mission to get to the bottom of it. Based on what little information Captain Campbell's people were issuing to Star Fleet, they didn't know much about the intruder or her goals. All that the Admiral knew was that this woman attacked one of his ships and was now attempting to escape justice. Capturing the Susquehanna is a priority for the Admiral, who has pushed his ships and their crew to their breaking points running search pattern after search pattern. Captain Vakath's logical mind had made it clear that he thought that Admiral Tate was taking this situation too seriously. After explaining how the Admiral still had friends aboard the Thunderchild, the pair couldn't avoid a professional disagreement over the issue. Finally Admiral Tate issued his orders and Captain Vakath followed them.

The three mighty Excelsior class starships move in formation at high warp. In lead, the USS Repulse, Admiral Tate's flagship. Along her left and right flanks flew the USS Potemkin and the USS Valley Forge. All three ships were traveling at warp speed with their crews at battle stations. The Admiral wanted to ensure that nothing was left to chances. This area of space was heavily traveled by Orion Pirates and the last thing he wanted to do was get jumped while attempting to apprehend the stolen runabout. As the three larger ships closed on the runabout, the Potemkin and Valley Forge started to spread out and gain speed on the Repulse. The Admiral's plan was simple. Kill the runabout's power and control systems, while the other two ships of his small wing cut off any chance of escape.

It was all about mathematics. The solar system was ten minutes away and the three larger ships were five minutes behind. Everyone aboard all four ships knew that this chase was over. In five minutes, the Starfleet ships would be in range to engage the Susquehanna. When that happened there would be no place to hide, no place to run. Everyone aboard the three larger ships knew that there was simply no way the runabout could match even one Excelsior, let alone three. Based on its actions, the little Susquehanna didn't seem to think it was completely helpless as it transferred all available power to its engines. From the sensors of the Repulse, the engines of the runabout were glowing a bright orange. The little ship was trying everything it could to escape the three larger ships. But again, the numbers simply didn't support the effort. In five minutes, this chase was going to be over. And Admiral Tate knew it. As he leaned back in his chair and smiled while watching the view screen of the little runabout making its futile flight for freedom.

On the bridge of the Repulse, the situation was calm and collected. Admiral Tate had the crew at battle stations for almost eight hours now. Each member of the crew worked towards the Admiral's goal. That goal was to capture the Susquehanna. They had the small runabout on their long range sensors for almost four hours, but the Admiral held off notifying the rest of the fleet or Starfleet till he had a positive idea of what they were seeing on sensors. Most of his battle group had already chased sensor ghosts already the sector. They were now spread out across an area and volume encompassing several light years. Despite his order for them to regroup, it would take them hours to comply with the order. A situation that he simply didn't like, and this was just one more reason to exercise a bit of uncharacteristic caution.

Reports echoed across the bridge as they closed on the runabout. Its position, its engine status, and most importantly were the status of its weapons and shields. On the main view screen hung the aft view of the Susquehanna traveling at warp speed. Captain Vakath looked up from the science station "Sir, the Susquehanna's warp engines are reaching critical mass. Based on the reports from Starfleet Medical would should back off." The voice of the Vulcan was calm, even and collected. "If the pilot is suffering from paranoia delusions, than it is logical to suspect that our pursuit of the ship is only driving the pilot to act more irrational. A logical solution would be to deploy our shuttles and keep our distance while we wait for the rest of the battle group to regroup on us. This way we can allow the pilot to calm down and we can conduct a more safe capture of the fugitive."

Admiral Tate nodded as he watched the runabout on his main viewer, "Understood, but I am ending this now." Admiral Tate was well known for his hot temper and his decisive action in combat. "Captain Vakath, do we have conformation that this is in fact our missing runabout?"

"Indeed Admiral," Captain Vakath said as he nodded and added, "It is."

He turned in his chair, "Com, send to all commands 4th Fleet and Starfleet Command. We have confirmed the location of the USS Susquehanna. We are attempting to capture the fugitive now. With luck, this ordeal will be over in a matter of minutes. Include our current location with tactical data on the Susquehanna."

Lieutenant Yin nodded as he answered, "Aye Admiral. Sending now."

Admiral Tate spun in his chair, "give me a secure channel to both the Potemkin and Valley Forge."

Once more Lieutenant Yin replied, "Channel open Sir."

"Captains" Admiral Tate said as he rose up from his center chair. "Just as I have explained before once we drop out of warp, give me a second and then drop out of warp. Circle around and cut off any hope of reaching that system. If you have to fire, fire to disable only."

Admiral Tate waited for each commander of the two other ships to acknowledge the orders before continuing, "Com, open a channel." He waited a moment for the channel to be opened. "Susquehanna, this is Vice Admiral Tate. You are ordered to power down your engines at once. You are placing your life and that runabout at risk." The channel remained open for a moment with no reply. Finally the admiral ran his hand across his neck for the channel to be closed. "Sensors! What can we see aboard yet?" he asked. The fugitive's ability to create sensor ghosts and shadows has made her very difficult to track across the sector. She was resourceful, for a petty officer and a Captain's Yeoman. However she was in the big league now. This was Fleet and they ran things a lot differently than the cargo ship she was used to. He added, "I would really hate to be chasing an empty runabout."

"Sir" cried out Lieutenant Thelev ch'Ranni. The male Andorian looked up from his tactical station, "Susquehanna's warp field is starting to show signs of destabilizing. She might be going in to a warp core breech."

Captain Vakath turned and scanned the runabout with the science station sensors. "Confirmed Admiral. I am detecting increase levels of fluctuation in her energy output. The readings are being distorted by the dampening field. But what we are seeing could the result of a plasma injector leak in progress.

Admiral Tate moved back to his center chair as he said "Captain, I need those prefix code for the Susquehanna." Once seated he spun the chair to watch the Vulcan at work.

The Command Codes Captain Vakath nodded, "we have them now."

The Admiral spun in his chair, "enter the prefix code and lets shut those engines down before our petty officer blows herself up."

Lieutenant Allyn Kader spoke up from her station, "Sir, the Susquehanna reports acceptance of the prefix code. Commanding the runabout to power down all systems. She is dropping out of warp and coming to a stop." The tactical officer scanned the surrounding space, "Potemkin and Valley Forge are conducting their end run."

"Drop us out of warp right behind the runabout." he paused for a moment than turned to his communication officer, "Com, inform the battle group to stand by. Send to Star Fleet and all commands 4th Fleet. We have disabled the Susquehanna using its prefix code. We will take the fugitive in to custody momentarily." He smiled as victory was at hand. He never once doubted the ability of his crew to capture a wayward petty officer. "Com send a secure message to Captain Campbell. Inform him that those stolen files will be returned in just a moment." A grin crossed his face, "Add, just like old times, cleaning up his mess."

Lieutenant Yin confirmed that the messages were sent to their recipients.

He turned back to Captain Vakath, "Scan their computer for the stolen files."

The Vulcan nodded, "I have located the files within the runabouts computer, Sir"

Admiral Tate nodded as he issued the command, "transfer the stolen files back to our computer." Then he righted himself as he started to return to his chair. "Captain Phillips do you have a lock on the fugitive yet?" Captain Phillips was a long time friend of Admiral Tate and Captain Campbell. Admiral Tate and Captain Phillips had actually attended Starfleet Academy together. Now that Admiral Tate was a Vice Admiral, he personally asked for Captain Phillips to be his Chief of Staff.

Over the comlink Captain Phillips' voice rang out, "Sir, I am still not detecting any life forms aboard the ship. That dampening field that is throwing off the transporter targeting scanners. Give me a few more minutes Sir."

Admiral Tate nodded, "Cut through that field Capitan. I want Petty Officer Traver in our sick bay now."

"Aye Sir" Captain Phillips replied.

Captain Vakath looked up from his station with a blank expression. However in his own mind, the logical Vulcan found it strange that the Admiral's own Chief of Staff would be personally operating the transporter. It was strange to say the least. However Captain Vakath didn't mention anything as he continued to scan the Susquehanna.

Admiral Tate scanned his bridge and then motioned for a channel to be opened between his own group. He watched the main view screen as the Susquehanna hung helplessly in space. "Ladies and gentlemen, it is important to understand that Petty Officer Traver is suffering from a mental disorder. We do not want to risk any harm to her. The petty officer is a victim of the brutal treatment that she suffered under Cardassian hands. We need to treat her with the utmost respect and compassion. now, Potemkin and Valley Forge focus your sensors to work in unison with our own. Lets cut through that dampening field and beam her in to our sick bay."

Lieutenant Thelev ch'Ranni looked up from his station, "Sir, we have interlink with Potemkin and Valley Forge. Our sensors are cutting through the dampening field."

"Sir, the pilot is attempting to regain control over the runabout" Captain Vakath said calmly.

With a nod Admiral Tate motioned to the Vulcan, "Don't loss her Captain. This woman needs our help. We can't fail her."

Before anyone could say anything more, Lieutenant Thelev ch'Ranni cried out, "Sir!" his voice drew everyone's attention, "The Valley Forge just jettisoned her warp core!"

Admiral Tate turned his chair to look at the tactical station, "WHAT!?" There was disbelief across his face as he slowly stood up from this chair.

It was Captain Vakath who spoke up next, "Confirmed, sensors are detecting the warp core and anti-matter bottles of the Valley Forge twenty meters below her keel and growing rapidly."

Before anyone could react to the new crisis, the voice of the Repulse's computer came alive as it echoed across the ship. "Warp Core Breach detected"

Admiral Tate reached for his comlink as he heard another voice echo over the intercom, "Computer, prepare to eject the warp core, authorization, Larea omega 894" The voice was of his Chief Engineer, Lieutenant Larea.

"Tate to Engineering! What that hell is going on!?" Admiral Tate ordered.

Over the open comlink everyone on the bridge could hear the computer's voice replying with, "Warp ejection systems enabled."

Lieutenant Larea answered back, "Sir there is no warp breach in progress and I am not issuing these commands. Its some kind of virus in our engineering mainframe. We are trying to shunt it."

Before anyone else could they all heard the mimicked voice of the Chief Engineer issuing another command, "Computer, eject the warp core."

It was in that moment a chime drew the Admiral's attention to his chairs personal data display. He flipped up the data display and read the display. There was anger in his eyes as he realized what the data was saying. While he was reading the data, the Repulse's massive warp core and her anti-mater bottles were all ejected from the ship. The massive starship's power levels all dropped as main power went off line. The belly of the ship glowed a soft blue as the core rocketed away from the ship. Behind the Repulse the now near powerless Valley Forge attempted to maneuver on impulse alone. On the far side of the runabout, the Potemkin suffered the same fate as her two sister ships. Within moments, the all three Excelsior Class starships were brought to their knees as the runabout's power levels returned to normal.

"Sir!" called out the Tactical officer, "The Susquehanna's shields and warp engines, weapons and shields are all coming on line. She getting underway."

The Admiral slammed the data display closed, "Phasers! Target her engines. Maximum power! FIRE!"

The runabout easily dodged the first blast from the Repulse but caught the second energy beam. Without the Repulse's main power, the energy level of the phaser was nowhere enough to penetrate the runabout's fully powered shields. The other two starships limped their way in to better firing positions only to have the much more maneuverable runabout whip past them. Zipping between the ships at such close range that their targeting sensors had problems locking on to the runabout. The Excelsiors could barely power their impulse shields, weapons and life support at the same time. The Runabout made sure to leave just enough of a target to draw fire while it continued to maneuver around and among the three larger ships.

What started out as being a one sided chase that was all but over now appeared to have turned against Starfleet. The runabout zipped past the Potemkin as it raked the larger ship with fire. However this was not normal phaser fire. Instead the runabout fired a antigraviton pulse. Later science sensors would confirmed that the pulse had been a result of a link between the runabout's navigational deflector and its forward phasers emitters. The pulse slammed in to the Potemkin Deflector shields which were made up of high concentration of gravitons. Weaken due to the loss of main power, the Potemkin's shields easily buckled and failed.

Ripping past the Potemkin at full speed, the runabout had one more surprise for the fleet of three ships. Targeting the Potemkin with its aft phasers, the runabout opened fired on the now defenseless ship. Without shields, the fire from even a runabout could cause critical damage across the ship. However like the forward emitters, these phasers had been set up for a pulse. Though this time it was not a Antigraviton pulse. Instead the runabout fired a series of short-duration bursts of broadband, high-intensity electromagnetic energy. This had the capable of disrupting magnetic fields and producing current or voltage surges in conductive materials via magnetic induction. The effects were seen across the Potemkin as the lights across the exterior ship started to flicker then go out all together.

Across the Potemkin auxiliary power failed as the electromagnetic energy ripped through the power distribution systems. Without main power and now with auxiliary power failing across the ship, the Potemkin became completely helpless. No power to shields, weapons and only minimal thrusters. They barely had enough power for life support. The professional crew of the Potemkin switched gears as they fought to restore auxiliary power. Still none of them could believe that their ship was crippled by a lone runabout and a mentally disturbed petty officer. The runabout zipped between the Potemkin's secondary haul and its warp nacelles. The little runabout turned to its next target as the odds rapidly changed in to its favor. Rapidly the Repulse came in to view as the runabout cleared the Potemkin.

As it lined up its pass on the Repulse, it was forced to turn away as the Valley Forge attempted to rake the runabout with phaser fire. Spinning on its axis and going nose down, the Susquehanna narrowly avoided the onslaught of incoming fire. The runabout easily dodged around floating warp cores and anti-matter bottles floating within the combat zone. Unable to maneuver, both the Repulse and the Valley Forge started to back up from the combat zone. With much larger weapons with greater range, it was a logical action. Both larger ships moved to clear themselves from the floating dangers that now littered the combat zone. While the bottles themselves could not simply destroy a ship, they could act much like a mine. In their weakened state, an explosion near by could prove fatal to either larger ship. Adding a new level of difficulty to the situation, the Potemkin floating helplessly within the center of the debris field.

The Susquehanna used its tractor beam on a small group of bottles floating near the Potemkin and dragged them behind the runabout. As the runabout moved closer to the Valley Forge it dropped the tractor beam as it switched its own shields back on. The runabout fired its forward pulse at the Valley Forge, however the shots ripped under the weakened ship. The runabout spun once more as she dodged the incoming fire from the Valley Forge. Unable to secure a clear shot on the Valley Forge while dodging intensive fire, the runabout whipped past the aft section of the Valley Forge refocusing its sights back on to the Repulse

The Susquehanna barrel rolled as she dodged a pair of torpedoes fired from the Valley Forge's aft launcher. Within seconds the pride of the 4th Fleet came in to sight as the Susquehanna raked the Repulse's weakened shields with a series of antigraviton pulses. Just like before, the weakened shields bulked and failed leaving the Repulse defenseless to the next attack. Even knowing what kind of attack to expect, there was nothing they could do to sure up their shields against the antigraviton pulse. Without main power, they were vulnerable to this attack. An attack that the Susquehanna was driving home with dogged persistence.

As the runabout turned along the dorsal section of the secondary haul, it was the desperate actions of the Repulse as they fired its dorsal phaser banks. The hit wasn't enough to penetrate the runabout's shields. As the runabout rocketed over the Aft Crew Lounge, it came in to full view of anyone looking out the large windows. Another pair of phaser blasts from the Repulse's aft type 8 phasers weakened the runabout's shield a bit more but not enough to penetrate them. As the Susquehanna cleared the Repulse she fired another series of short-duration bursts of broadband, high-intensity electromagnetic energy. The fire ripped across the Repulse exposed secondary haul. Within seconds the ship was floating dead in space just like the Potemkin.

With the flagship of the 4th Fleet drifting helplessly the situation for Starfleet has gone from apprehending a fugitive to a crisis on two of three ships. All that stood in the way of the Susquehanna and open space was the USS Valley Forge. Despite being crippled the ship turned to continue the engagement with the smaller runabout. Just before the last of the power levels on the Repulse failed, the Admiral ordered that a broad band distress signal be sent to inform all Starfleet ships in the area of the situation at hand. It was a blow to a man who took pride in his combat skills. A humbling blow that would not be easily forgotten.

With both the USS Potemkin and the Repulse helpless, it was up to the Valley Forge to stop the runabout. Normally, this wouldn't even be a fight. However with the Valley Forge stricken without main power, the runabout had a more fair chance of winning this combat. A pair of photons ripped from the Valley Forge towards the runabout. The smaller ship spun and pitched hard to avoid the incoming missiles. At the same time, the Susquehanna fired its own microtorpedo at a passing anti-matter bottle.

The explosion engulfed the two missiles and blinded the Valley Forge's sensors for a moment. It was all that runabout needed to whip around behind the powerless Repulse. Using the larger ship for cover, the runabout was able to gain a better attack vector. Zipping across the battlefield, the runabout made a sprint for the helpless Potemkin as the Valley Forge attempted to hold the engagement. With the Valley Forge holding back and trying to gain a targeting lock for its powerful torpedoes, the runabout spun about and ran along the side of the [/i]Potemkin[/i]. Crossing the aft section of the secondary haul of the [/i]Potemkin[/i], the Valley Forge was in the sights of the Susquehanna. The two ships fired at the same time.

The Susquehanna's antigraviton pulse slammed in to the Valley Forge's shields, forcing them to buckle and fail. The torpedo from the Valley Forge slammed in to the nose of the runabout causing major damage and taken down its shields. The faster runabout would have the advantage still as it ripped past the primary haul of the Valley Forge leaving it just as helpless and powerless as its two sister ships. The battle was over and three Starfleet ships were left floating dead in space while the Susquehanna turned for the safety of UIH- 0351. Damaged but not caught, the Susquehanna's flight would continue for at least one more day.

Aboard the Repulse the situation on the bridge was chaotic. Everyone was in disbelief over what just happened. In one moment, they had the runabout helpless and ready to be secured. Now, EM surges across the ship were causing havoc on all systems. The communication channels were flooded with situational reports. Each report told the same story, the ship was dead in space and helpless. The Susquehanna was locked in a battle with the Valley Forge and there was nothing that could be done to help. Admiral Tate hated the idea that his flagship was nothing more than floating metal in space.

Admiral Tate watched helplessly as the Valley Forge fought back the runabout. He tapped his comlink, "Bridge to Lieutenant Wyke." Lieutenant Walker Wyke was the flight officer of the Repulse. Once the Lieutenant replied the Admiral continued, "I want you to deploy our shuttles. You are ordered to pursue the Susquehanna and destroy her at all costs! Protect your computer systems, do not attempt any communication with the runabout."

"Admiral," Captain Vakath cut the Admiral off, "That order contradicts Starfleet Medical's instructions on dealing with this fugitive." Before he could complete his logic objection to the order, the Repulse rocked violently.

The tactical officer reported that an anti-matter bottle was detonated by the Susquehanna off the port bow. While there was no damage reported it was enough to shake the already bothered crew. Sensors reported that the Valley Forge was still locked in a bitter battle with the smaller runabout. But it was only a matter of time before the smaller runabout was able to get a more advantageous firing angle on the larger ship. Everyone on the Repulse's bridge were watching their Captain and their Fleet Commander.

It was Admiral Tate who wasted no time to act, "I am sorry Captain Vakath. I am not going to wait for our ships to be destroyed by that PETTY OFFICER." It was clear his anger was overriding his judgment but it was what he was well known for. He paused a moment before continuing his orders to Lieutenant Wyke. "Lieutenant....."

Captain Vakath was not about to allow an emotionally charged situation end the life of a mentally disturbed woman. "Belay those orders Lieutenant! Admiral under......" Despite the situation the Vulcan's voice never changed tone. He kept it level and calm.

Anger flashed over the Admiral's eyes as another shock wave rocked the Repulse. As the two men sized each other up in that second, the battle between the runabout and the Valley Forge continued. Admiral Tate cut him off, "Security, if Captain Vakath opens his mouth again. Escort him to the brig!" Admiral Tate ordered as he walked up and stared in to the eyes of the Vulcan. There was this look of daring in the Admiral's eyes. He demanded loyalty from his officers and crews and he would be damned if he didn't get it.

Captain Vakath looked in to the Admiral's eyes. He knew that the Admiral would act on his threat. Something to all this wasn't adding up. The Susquehanna had avoided capture this long. It was logical to assume that it could remain free despite the Admiral's orders. "I will resist no long, Admiral. But I will log my protest with Starfleet Command."

"So be it!" Admiral Tate said. Then he turned to walk back to his chair, "Lieutenant Wyke, you have your orders"

"Yes Admiral," Lieutenant Wyke replied and closed the link.

The Susquehanna rocketed away as she headed for UIH- 0351. Just as she passed over a group of anti-matter bottles, they glowed blue as they were transported aboard the runabout. Just behind her, six type nine shuttles from the Repulse and the Potemkin formed up to give chase. Behind them, three cripple ships from the 4th Fleet hung helpless in space. Already shuttles from the Valley Forge were being deployed along with engineering pods as they started to collect their warp cores. It would be nearly twelve hours before the ships would have main power back. For the time being the flagship of the 4th Fleet and her escorts were out of the chase.

Quote:Admiral Tate to all Commands, Starfleet 4th Fleet

The stolen runabout, USS Susquehanna has been located and cornered within a large asteroid field within the solar system UIH- 0351, located at Sector 004, 09.246 by K.167. The runabout is using the asteroid field to allude capture. However we have sensor reading that confirm that the runabout is still within the asteroid field. Our shuttles which had given chase were forced to withdraw after taking heavy damage from collisions with asteroids. Currently they have created a perimeter around the field and are waiting for reinforcements.

My group has been crippled by a computer virus that was transmitted from the Susquehanna via a communication link. All three ships are currently undergoing repairs and will be back in action within the next twelve hours. However the Repulse will need to be tugged back to Deep Space Nine as the virus crippled our warp control computer. It would appear that my flagship is out of the chase for the time being.

New evidence has indicated that the over all goal of the Susquehanna is to detonate an anti-mater explosion over Cardassia Prime. I am hereby ordering the 4th Fleet to patrol all Cardassian worlds and colonies between my current location and Cardassia Prime. IF the Susquehanna manages to escape us here, Your orders are to protect these worlds and if necessary, destroy the Susquehanna.

I am ordering the Thunderchild to make best speed to our current location. It is our goal to ensure that the Susquehanna doesn't evade us here. However, if we fail. The 4th Fleet has its orders.

Captains, a word of warning. Do not over estimate your own advantages or under estimate this remarkable petty officer. To do so would leave your ship vulnerable as ours were. You are not to make any communication contact with the Susquehanna regardless of the situation. Disable the ship through what ever means is necessary. Then call for support before attempting to make the capture. Do not repeat the mistake I did! This is an order!

Meeting with the XO
OOC Narrator Note: Anyone can post up their finding or their actions. Currently the Thunderchild is stationed at Starbase 74. It will be departing to assist the Repulse. I gave a laps in time to give everyone a chance to hammer out the results of their investigations.

Commander Bonham followed the Captain in to his ready room. There was a serious tone as he spoke, "Okay Sir, I have the results of my review in to your background." He paused as he activated the data pad and started to read his notes,

"My first stop was to speak with your father. I discovered that he is currently serving the Federation Humanitarian Relief Effort in what remains of the Cardassian Union. I made an attempt to reach him, however I learned that he had led a team of humanitarian workers in to the devastated northern region of Cardassia Prime a few months ago. I spoke with a member of the HRE staff on Cardassia Prime. I was assured that he is well but does not have access to a sub-space communicator. They said that they will relay a massage to him for me. As of this date, he has not had a chance to reply or is unwilling to reply to that message."

"Instead I did manage to reach his secretary on Mars, a Mrs. Liliana Elder. Based on my background search, she has worked with his department for the past twenty five years. From what I have found out, when your father took over the department some fifteen years ago he made Mrs. Elder his personal assistance. So the information that she offered should be considered reliable. She remembered the year that your parents moved to Mars. She had the date on file, Stardate 35077.08. She recalled at first you hated Mars and had always talked about going back to Earth. A few months after your family moved to Mars you ran away from home. Your father searched with the local law enforcement till you turned up back on Earth. He skipped an important meeting to make sure you were okay. A few months after that, your parents were investigated for a crime. She didn't know the nature of the crime but was able to give me the name of the Chief Investigator from a Federation Grand Jury. Mrs. Elder said that nothing official came of the investigation, as the case was closed."

"She did say that during that time, a Vulcan by the name of L'tus came to see your father. This stood out cause your father cleared his calendar for the entire day. Something that he only did on very rare occasions. The two of them left the department to speak in private. Shortly after that meeting, the Chief Investigator informed your father's boss that they were dropping the charges due to the case taking a different course. Your father's boss was informed that your parents aided in the investigation greatly and they had the thanks of the Federation Grand Jury."

"After that everything returned to normal. One thing that stuck out in our conversation was how she made sure to point out how caring your father was towards you three. He always took time off during the months of January, April, and May. She had been tasked on a number of occasions to get birthday gifts wrapped. Gifts that your father hand picked for each of you. A task he never trusted with anyone else. The running joke around the department was that he had a son and two daughters."

"When I showed her a pictures of the three of you. Maura, Seona and you sir, she was able to correctly identify all of you as early teens and up. However she never personally met Seona. She mentioned that you had shown up at the department a few times. She said she only met Maura once. It was sometime during Maura's Marine training. She mentioned how sharp Maura appeared in her dress uniform. Your father introduced Maura to everyone around the department as one of the daughters he always wanted. She remembered how proud your father was of her. But the visit was a surprise to your father. As you know, your father had always wanted to keep his family and professional lives separate. Maura showed up unannounced because she had gotten entangled in a legal issue. Your father suggested a personal friend who was an attorney and who could help her. When Maura left, Mrs. Elder noticed the two in a loving embrace. It was clear that he felt deep emotions for Maura. I looked up this attorney, he specializes in family law."

"Regarding what she knew of your father's personal life. On his desk, he has a number of pictures of you three. His most favorite picture is of you three as teens sitting on a rock. She thinks it might be somewhere on Earth. The picture always goes with him when he leaves for assignments. He also has the graduation pictures of each of you when you graduated Starfleet. She often said how he speaks so highly of you three. I believe her when she says that he is very proud of you and the MacConnell sisters. Yes, I know how close you are to your mother and the rift that was caused by your joining Starfleet."

"From a distance, he is so very proud of you despite his displeasure that you joined in the first place. It is my assumption based on what Mrs. Elder said, that it was his personal desires that you not join Starfleet. Though Mrs. Elders couldn't explain why he didn't want you to. He didn't really want any of you to join Starfleet. Regarding your father's relationship with your mother, Mrs. Elder did say that for as long as she could remember your father and mother were always estranged."

"On the surface, everything seemed normal. They made a point to keep this from you. But he never took time off for her birthday nor could she ever recall one time he spoke of his wife in casual conversation. There was a researcher in your father's department who made it clear she had personal interest in your father. Despite not showing any love for your mother, he never once cheated on her. The research eventually transfered out after being rejected a number of times by your father. Mrs. Elders didn't know the reason behind the rift between your mother and father but she often suspected it had something to do with the MacConnell sisters. The majority of their arguments that Mrs. Elders witnessed seemed to circle on them."

"Those arguments came to a head shortly after Maura's unannounced visit. Mrs. Elder recalled the argument as did your father's staff. The argument took place in his office behind closed does. It was so loud and heated that they could hear through the closed doors. If anyone knew what the nature of the argument was, they did not tell me. It was the last time, Mrs. Elders noted that your father spoke of your mother and the last time she saw your mother visit him at the Department. However your father did keep in contact with Maura and Seona on a regular basis. Even reaching out to them when they were stationed on Deep Space Nine."

"The last bit regarding your father. When Muara and Seona were laid to rest, Mrs. Elder accompanied your father to both funerals. She said that he was shaken very deeply at their deaths. For days before and after, witnesses said that he often cried deeply and was visible depressed. He mourned their loss for days after the funerals. When she asked about why your mother or you didn't attended either funeral, he said that it was better this way for everyone. He confided in her saying that your mother had created this rift in their family that it could never be healed. In a one of the very rare times, he took to drinking."

"During that night on Earth, in a drunken state, he said he blamed your mother for everything. It was because of her they had to deal with the devil himself. Your father didn't go in to detail as to what was done or why. He only said it was a dark family secret that was finally put to rest. He had said that he wanted to do it all over again. She did tell me something that was meant to be a secret till your father returned from his current assignment. Before your father left for his humanitarian mission to the Cardassian Union, he instructed Mrs. Elder to search and retain for a good divorce attorney. He told her that he could no long bare to be with his wife."

"After my conversation with Mrs. Elder I reached out to Severus Couture, the Chief Investigator of the Federation Department of Justice. To my surprise, I learned that he filed for early retirement in 2357. He is currently living on Risa with his family. I was told by his predecessor that Mr. Couture had taken a Orion Gambling Cruise and won big. When I inquired about the case against your parents, they said that it was in regards to stolen regulated genetic material back on stardate 19530.28. The case had been in an ongoing investigation for nearly eighteen years without any leads. The case led them to your parents because of a credible lead but didn't inform me about that lead."

"However, shortly after they started to look deeper in to your parents. Then some time after, Mr. Couture ordered that the case against your parents be closed and no charges were filed. It turned out that solid evidence turned the investigation towards a researcher who was already in custody. When presented with the evidence, this researcher confessed to the crime. He was charged and sentenced for that theft as well. This researcher had since been release from custody after serving his time. I attempted to contact Mr. Couture, in hopes that he might have some more details for me. I tracked him down and attempted to follow up on this. At first he was pleasant and open to talk. However he seemed to become difficult when I pushed the questions regarding this one case. He informed me that your parents were not guilty of any wrong doing and disconnected the channel with me."

"I dug in to your supposed life on Earth. I found at least two dozen people who all correctly identified you within age appropriate photos. What the Priest told us seemed to be accurate to the most part. There were dates and times where he was most likely confused about. I do not suspect that this was done out of any attempt to mislead us. The Priest is well known for his failing memory. Still, many people do remember you. I spoke with a neighbor how could recount a story of how you injured your arm during a horse back riding accident while out with the MacConnell sisters. You had gloated that you were attempting to impress Maura with a new trick. Your medical files from Starfleet supported the childhood injury.

"Everyone I spoke with was more than familiar with the fact that you had an illness, which you shared with Maura. No one knew just what the nature of the illness was, but it was serious and often required Maura to be hospitalized. There were a number of times where Maura barely made a recovery. As I spoke with them, I noticed a pattern forming. While each separate story seemed to be unlinked, I noticed that Maura's hospitalization occurred roughly the first week of the month. Though she could go two to three months without needing to be hospitalized. But when she did, it was always the first week of the month. These visits and the severity of her illness increased over time till they stopped all together around stardate 30158.64. It would appear that your mother was the only treating Doctor for both you and Maura. Confusingly, your medical reports do not support these facts. I would suggest that the Doctor perform a much more deeper investigation in to this matter as well as in to your own health."

"I also looked in to this Krussk Syndrome. It is a very rare genetic disorder that is nearly always fatal to the new born child. The child's death is a very painful and is a drawn out ordeal that can last up to five years after birth. There has been a few reported cases where the child survives the first five years. However those cases are rare and far between. Even less cases were reported where the child survives in to adulthood. Those that do survive, the effects of the illness are crippling. Loss of eye sights, motor controls limited mental capacity and weaken physical structure. You clearly do not have any of these symptoms, so I am not sure what to say about these findings or how much trust we should put in to them. Aside from the Old Priest, I have been unable to locate anyone that can confirm that you had this genetic disorder. Even your medical records from your place of birth do not reflect this."

"Everyone in the little village you grew up in outside of Edinburgh can confirm that you and Maura were sick. But none of them can tell me what the illness was. Everyone did seem to hold the impression that you and Maura got better around the same time. I spoke with the local hospital and asked for your medical records. At first they were not going to release them to me. However after a long and rather painful conversation, I finally got them to agree to at least gather some information from your files to be forwarded to your own doctor here aboard the Thunderchild. I told them that this was just in case of future remissions. However to their surprise, the files they had on record had all been cleansed. I do not suspect that they had anything to do with these missing files."

"Lastly, I found that the Priest was mistaken about one major detail. I am not sure what to make of this, but the estate that he mentioned where Seona grew up after you were moved to Mars wasn't what he said it was. I asked the local magistrate to take a drive out there and report back his findings. He reported back that the family that lives there now were pleasant and open about what they knew. They said that from what they were told, the place had been vacant for decades before they bought just a few years ago. Without a much more deeper investigation, I don't think we will be able to learn much more. However based on what I saw so far, I am not sure what there will be for us to find anyway. When I searched the Starfleet Medical database, according to their records they never had or operated any facilities in that region of Scotland. I have no reason to discount this information nor that the priest was being dishonest to us. I suspect that he was telling us what he knew to be true. I suspect that the estate was abandon after Seona 'escaped' by who ever was operating it at the time."

"I searched and found your original birth certificate. You were born Jackie Fionn Campbell on Apr 06, 2340, Stardate: 19976.19 in Edinburgh, Scotland. What I found for the MacConnell sisters was a bit more surprising. I did locate two Federation Report of Birth Certificates. These are different from birth certificates as it is only a report that it happened. The signing doctor or agency didn't actually verify the birth or the information given in the report. Maura's Report placed her birth on Jan 12, 2340, Stardate 19763.26. The location of her birth was reported outside of Federation space. Though it was not stated where. Seona's report of birth is more strange. Her first report of birth was much the same as Maura's and both were signed on the same date, stardate 24808.17. Seona's Report placed her first birth date as May 09 2345, Stardate 24650.38. However I found a second actual birth certificate placing her birthday as May 09 2351, Stardate 30158.64. This certificate placed her place of birth as occurring in the city of Edinburgh."

"When I contacted the hospital of her birth, I was unable to find anyone that could recall her birth. This doesn't prove anything though but the documents do give rise to some questions. The attending Doctor who signed all three documents for the MacConnell sisters was killed in action during the Dominion War. So I was unable to find any more answers to these questions. I will tell you this, your mother was well known in that hospital. She worked there for nearly ten years and her romance with your father up to the day you were born is the subject of fond memories."

"One such tale was when your father showed up out of the blue a few years before you were born. He had hidden a puppy in the pocket of his jacket and pretended to be sick. Your mother went out of her mind thinking he was infected with a massive parasite. When she discovered the puppy, there was a ring tied to his collar. Most of the older staff recall the story with great fondness. It was assumed shortly after your birth, you had passed away from Krussk Syndrome. I spoke to a nurse who worked with your mother during her time there. The old nurse told me that when your mother learned that you had Krussk Syndrome it destroyed her. Your father was off world and your mother choose not to tell him about it. Your mother and father moved from Edinburgh shortly after the time of your birth. It was assumed to give you all their attention during the final months of your life. They broke off contact with their former lives around the same time."

"As I dug in to your mother, I found some strange things. Your mother is not only one of the best geneticist on Earth. She is most likely one of the most brilliant geneticist of her time. She wrote a number of papers regarding the endless possibilities of curing genetic diseases and disorders through gene therapy. She is hailed as one of the most brilliant scientists of her time. However her potential was always cut short by Federation laws that banned genetic research on sentient beings. Her political career took off when she lead a major push by the Federation science community to get some of those laws limited to allow genetic engineering to correct existing genetically related medical conditions. While these were huge steps, according to a paper your mother wrote, she claimed these new limitations were nothing more than drops in the bucket that was the Federation's potential to end suffering from disease."

"While your mother may have opposed these restrictions on moral grounds, she supported the law passionately. In the same paper as well as many others, she stated that to disregard the laws of the Federation simply because one doesn't agree with them would open the flood gates to chaos. She called on all members of the scientific community to support the laws while still fighting in the political areas to change them. She led two major organizations which were paramount in changing Federation law regarding medical research. Their single claim to popular support was that they practiced what they were preached. Support the law while striving to your convictions. Your mother also worked closely with the Federation Science Council to help locate persons known to be genetically enhanced who were serving in Starfleet or within Starfleet Medical. She personally help bring dozens of offenders to justice and ended their professional careers."

"Roughly around the time you were born, your mother quit both of her organizations that she help build. However she never stopped working with the Federation Science Council to locate genetically enhanced persons serving in Starfleet. Due to her determination in this service, she earned herself the nickname, the witch hunter. Her case files reads as if she was an uncaring and harsh woman. But I am sure you will agree with me that this is not the case. In fact your mother worked hard to find these persons new gainful careers in other endeavorers. She never supported the mind set that enhanced persons should be allowed to serve in Starfleet. Based on her papers that she published, she was very outspoken against enhanced persons serving in Starfleet."

"Your mother took over the leadership of the Mars Institute of Science in late 2356. While she continued to worked with the Federation Council of Science as a advisor, she all but quit her duties as lead investigator for the Council roughly around the same time."

"Talking with your mother's staff, I found that she was referred to as a lonely woman. Working late in to the nights on a regular basis. Though, as you know Sir, she was very proud of you. As a teen, she loved parading you around the Institute. Her office is lined with photo's of you throughout your life. When I asked them about Seona or Maura, no one seemed to know who they were. No one seemed to recognize either of them from photos. Your mother only spoke of one child, you, her son. She rarely spoke of your father and there are even those in her staff now that were surprised to find that she was even married. No one ever claimed to know of any affair or other intimate relationships your mother had or were having at the time. Those that did know, knew your mother loved your father very deeply."

"Most surprising was on Stardate 53619.47 (Nov 25, 2376) during a critical stage of an experiment carried out by her protégé, she received a communication. I could find no record of this communication but a number of people there recalled that she was called away to answer it. After that communication, your mother left the institute claiming she would be right back. After she left it was discovered that several data chips from the institutes's mainframe had been removed. These data chips contained personal files and logs belonging to your mother. She contacted the institute the next day claiming she was taking a sabbatical for the next few months. No one from the institute has heard from her since. I checked with Deep Space Nine and they have confirmed the message your received from your mother last month as authentic but currently no one can locate the point of origin of those messages."

"Off of a hunch, I asked a friend of mine who is stationed a Utopia Yards to check out your mother's home on Mars. At first he found the place secured but after he moved around to the backyard, he discovered a broken window. Through the broken window he noticed your mother's home had been ransacked. He suspected foul play and contacted Federation Security. They took his statement and gave him no details on what happened. My own requests have been stonewalled by a Mr. Orellana. He is running the investigation. This is all I have been able to uncover. It might be helpful to have our Chief of Security conduct a separate investigation over what happened at your mother's home. His background might give us some new and different details. I hope this is helpful Sir." On that, Commander Bonham handed the datapad over to Captain Campbell and waited to be dismissed.

The Captain did his best to sit, unflinching, during the briefing. The barrage of information, being of such a personal nature to the Captain was unsettling. Thinking of Seona, even if he did not remember her, made him feel as if someone had stolen a baby sister from him and then ripped the memory of it from his mind. He felt betrayed. He looked over the data pad for a moment to mask his pain, he would not allow his emotions to dictate his actions. A Starfleet officer had to duty to fulfill and for the time being it should not make a difference who the suspect is or who persons of interest might become, even if he became one of those people. In this moment he tried to imitate the Vulcans rather then the Klingons but the confirmation that half of his life was missing from his memory only to be preplaced by a lie, spilled over into his eyes, faint but present.

He looked up from the data pad to Bonham, sitting uncomfortably in the chair across from the Captain. Within moments the captain's mind switched to V'rol and knew that this had to be above board. The Captain knew V'rol would have no guilt about speaking up towards him or Starfleet Command if the Vulcan suspected him of being a collaborator. 'I'm going to have to share everything with the senior staff' he though, 'Let there be no doubt where my loyalties lay'. The Captain tapped his com-badge. "Mr. V'rol to my ready room please."

With that, his eyes fell back on to the commander, "Good work, Commander", the Captain said as Lieutenant Commander V'rol entered the room.

"Thank you, sir" the Commander Bonham answered turning to great the Vulcan with a nod.

"Are there any thing else that did not make it into this report? Minor details you might have excluded?" the Captain asked causing Commander Bonham to shift his eyes back towards the captain. The captain wanted to make sure to keep the anger he felt out of his voice. The question was not an accusation but permission to talk in front of the Vulcan. When he asked Bonham to look into this he had expressed his expectation of discretion.

Command Bonham shook his head, "No Sir. I left nothing out. All the contacts I made were recorded on that data pad as well. Just in case you wanted to follow up Sir."

The captain nodded, "Thank you again commander." He then turned his attention to Lt Commander V'rol and handed the data pad over to the Vulcan. "Mr. V'rol, I want you to take over this investigation. Within that data pad is all that Commander Bonham found. I need to make sure that this investigation is completely above board. Because of resent events, I do not want to appear as if my judgement is compromised. I will trust whom you report to, to your discretion. That said, I would like to know more about my past that has been taken from me. I would ask that you find out what happened to my mother and at my childhood home. I assume you have contacts that can get us more information about what is going on?"

RE: Act Two, Scene One
No sooner than when he had stepped aboard than he was called to the captain's ready room. Tapping his com badge. "I'm on my way." Making his way toward the Captain's ready room he was tapping away on his PADD. He was preparing a pair of request, the first a communique about the heart of the now dead major, the second one to starfleet security involving the inquiries made by federation security.

Reaching the ready room, He raised his eyebrows ever so slightly in acknowledgement of the nod before stepping off to the side of the door and waiting for the Captain to finish speaking with Commander Bonham. He stepped forward as the PADD was handed to him he reached out turning it comfortable and tapping through the information quickly as he listened to the Captain. "Yes, sir, I have a few contacts that may be helpful in retrieving that information. When you have the opportunity to speak with me there area a number of new security protocols that I would like to suggest to prevent further issues like the one here from happening to other vessels. It would seem that the modifications to out computer occurred while in drydock, the program dormant and difficult to detect. I would advise that the command staff each create our own subroutine designed to overwrite our current set of command codes with a new set that we have stored in a file that would not be expected by a program so that should it be activated we can reestablish control over the system."

He turned to looked to the Commander. "I trust that you have no personal stake in this matter. If you have no objections I will report to you on matters of this investigation." Waiting for his response before looking to the Captain to see if there were any other matters he had to discuss.

Increase sends for the Cadet who came and reported about Lab 4. As the young man enters, Increase looks up and says "good fetch everyone. Tell them shore leave is over, they are ALL back in duty as of the moment thry hear the message." He turns to look back at his screen, reading the latest message from his old freind.

"Yes sir" the cadet said as he rushed out...as the doors hissed open Increase spoke on a slightly raised voice "your doing a great job. Keep up the good work, and take the next 2 days off for staying to work with me through shore leave." His attention still locked on the screen. A smile grew on the mans face, his pace picked up a bit more speed as the door closed behind him.

After a few mintues of silence, he whispers "computer...location of Commander V'rol." And the responce would say "Commader V'rol is located in the Captains ready room." He made a soft murmur of displeasure before speaking again "Computer, record message for Commander V'rol, when he leaves the Captain's ready room"..."Commander V'rol, when you have a free moment please come see me. Thank you."

Commander Bonham nodded as he looked to the Vulcan, "While the Captain might feel that he would like his personal life exposed. I expect a level of discretion. Report only what you feel is relevant to what is going on right now. Everything else you discover you can share with the captain only or keep it hidden." He turned back to the captain, "I sense that there are some family secrets that buried deep here. We all have our family secrets that were never meant to see the light of day."

He turned back to V'rol, "Only what is relevant" he paused a moment before adding, "Am I clear on this?"

RE: Act Two, Scene One
OOC: Narrator Post: I am posting this up to help out our Captain as he is enjoying a cruise around Risa. He will be back by the end of the weekend.

Captain Campbell shifted his eyes to a series of images before him. They were taken from the holovids which were sent to him presumably by Seona. In one image she was dressed in blue out fit with funny appearing ears. They were too large to be Vulcan. On her back were arrows but she carried no bow. He couldn't help but feel as he knew the young girl in the image before him. His mind wondered a bit from the moment as he could almost recall the custom which she was wearing. Was it if a childhood game they used to play. In the back of his mind he could hear the laughter of children playing. A voice calling out. His voice, it was filled with joy. 'What was her nickname' he questioned his own memory. Then without reason he knew the answer. 'Link' from an old game they used to play. There were so many unanswered questions.

Without warning he spoke up just as Commander Bonham finished, "no" he proclaimed. Standing up from his chair and walking around his desk. "Commander V'rol, you have my orders. Follow this where ever it takes you. Be thorough and enlist any member of the crew you need to get to the bottom of all this."

Captain Campbell sighed as he rested a hand on Commander Bonham's shoulder, "i appreciate your concerns but I don't have this luxury. Seona has planned all this out. Each step has been by her design. Even the resent events with Admiral Tate's group. I am sure of it. My past seems to be involved. I don't know how, but it does. If we are to get ahead of Seona than we have to look at this from all possible angles."

He turned to V'rol, "would you agree?"

He waited for the Vulcan to reply than added. "Commander" still speaking to V'rol, "Make your reports to Commander Bonham as you would in any investigation." He paused for a moment and then added, "On another note. Dr. Vanlaere has requested that she be allowed to remain on Starbase 74. She told me that her intentions are to leave the Thunderchild and transfer to Starfleet Medical. Let the record show I am assigning Dr. McCoy as the Thundershild's official Chief Medical Officer, effective immediately."

On that he nodded to both of them. "Number One, set course for the Repulse. Best possible speed. Keep the ship at yellow alert for the time being. You both have your orders. I am going to sick bay for some long over due tests. Until I have a clean bill of health, both mental and physically from our CMO, the ship is your's Number One."

RE: Act Two, Scene One
Gripping the handle of the compression Suitcase, Mordecai Noonia prepared for the transport that would take him to the USS Thunderchild. The belongings were sparse on his person, only a simple Personal Access Display Device or P.A.D.D as they were called as an addition to uniforms and some civilian attire. Smartly dressed with a fresh haircut that tamed the crimson mop of hair, Lt. Jr Noonia prepared for beaming aboard. The warning hit him, and it was like stepping through a door. A curious experience that left his eyes sparkling when the Transporter room of the USS Thunderchild came into view.

There was a massive, well dressed Klingon standing to the side of the Transporter Operator. A gentleman whom on the short leave on Starbase 74 called himself Micky piped up. The man was from an affluent family lineage that clung to the rambunctious nature of getting his way. Noonia's experience with him had been short, though amusing watching him barrel about in an attempt to impress. "It appears that my reputation proceeds me!" Cadet Mikey Townsend stated.

With a perk of the eyebrow and a slightly disappointed expression, Lieutenant Kinchlirah stated. "I am looking for a Lt. Noonia." Professionalism oozing from the Klingon woman, it appeared business was at hand. A slightly uncomfortable tickling in the palms reminded Mordecai that this was an unusual approach, but it never crossed his features. He simply stepped off of the teleporter pad and stated. "I am Lt. Jr. Mordecai Noonia."

Lt. Kinchlirah then stated that he should follow, and started off from the room in mild long legged haste. Determined not to be flustered, Mordecai matched while eyes flickered about. It was a whirlwind moment, the introduction to a star ship. Everything from the slight gravity variances to the way the lighting hit the walls, to the people coming from or going to duty. It seemed currently to be in a state of well oiled machinery, meaning the engine room seemed to be supplying power with little variance.

All of these things were crossing his mind as he was guided into a Hololab. The door whisked open and then shut ominously, before she turned with fingertips racing on the controls and words melodiously slipping from lips. "I am looking for a pair of fresh eyes to take a look at these Holovid Matrices." curtly stated but apt and to the point. The suitcase was carefully placed to the side, and an approach was made to the console.

An explanation was given to Mordecai about where these Holovids came from, and that it was an Art in itself how efficiently they were made. Heavy Science pouring from the lips of the Klingon woman. A shocking thing, as all training seemed to generalize them as brutes with naught but Honor spouted. However, the efficiency of the fingers and manner of speaking belied a heart of someone dedicated to the craft of Science. Focus was given wholly, eyes running over the details.

It was with this, that a slight discover was made with the Klingon woman. Working in Tandem, with as much subtle manner to take as little credit as possible, Lt. Noonia noticed that there was another buried Holomatrix in the Mathematical equations. Carefully peeling the layers back, there was a Stardate encoding that was mentioned to Lt. Kinchlirah. Though they had been communicating in a short but poignant manner, palms slipped against the sides of the panel to deliver the news.

"It appears Lt. That the hidden Holomatrix was created on Stardate 53517.93. Though our efforts to compile it are turning up for naught, that much data has been gleaned. I wonder what lurks in it?" a question that came from the normally emotionless Mordecai of the intelligence that lurked beneath. It was like a many layered ball of twine with a prize inside. The more you peeled back, the more was revealed how intricate. It was truly fascinating him, so much that he was becoming animated and excited. Barely a time spent, and already a wondrous journey. Perhaps this Starship would be the experience he had dared dream of?

RE: Act Two, Scene One
V'rol nodded. "Yes Captain, it does seem likely that she expected such events to take place even if she did not intend to cause this. Further supposition would be superfluous." He listened to the commander before waiting to be dismissed before heading to his quarters. He had to send the request for further information on the events he had uncovered (OOC: will be opening subspace communications tomorrow with what information he sends.) Once that was finished he spoke. "Computer, locate Chief Amadaeus."

"Chief Amadaeus is located in Science Lab 4."

Straightening his uniform he proceeded out of his quarters and began to head toward the Science lab, a PADD in hand. When he arrived he opened the door to the lab. "You requested my presence?"
