RE: Act Two, Scene One
He nods slowly as he listened to the Commander talk. Slow and steady breaths...however right as the commander finished his words. He spoke "Indeed. Understood." He reached over, picked up his data PADD and made his way out of the Science lab. Destination...unknown to anyone but himself.

RE: Act Two, Scene One
Captain's personal Log

Today I will not soon forget. I finally met with Dr. Bell and Dr. McCoy to find out if they could find anything to substantiate the claims made by the Father Douglas McLeod. It turns out quite a lot is true. I did in fact have the Krussk Syndrome and according to Dr. Bell, the Major did as well. Not only that but it looks like genetically the Major could have been either of my parents. Does that count as kissing my father? At least, I hope forgotten me would have been that bold?

Genetically, it turn out that some time during my mother pregnancy, my DNA was extracted and used to create Maura artificially, along with my disease. Her growth was accelerated and when I was born her DNA was then re-engineered back into my own. And while I don't have any clear reason as to why this was done, I do have this sinking suspicion as to the purpose to this. Seona, also created artificially in much a similar way as Maura was. However it would appear that her DNA was created in such a way to be used to cure both Maura and I from the sickness. I wont deny that all this is confusing and saying it out loud makes it feel like a bad science fiction novel from the 20th century.

I was drained by the meeting with the doctors and the day had barely begun. When the two doctors started talking to each other over some theories, I didn't bother to pay attention till my com badge went off. Lieutenant Kinchlirah asked me to meet her and Lt. Jr. Noonia in the science lab, they had been working on the hoovids sent by Seona. It was my first time meeting Noonia since he boarded. Hard worker but it seems he can easily get off track. I guess I need to start from the beginning.

Once I met the Lieutenants in the lab, Noonia began to ask me a lot of questions I'm not sure were much help before Lieutenant Kinchlirah began to play the holovids of Seona playing the violin. Seeing the first video for Seona wearing a Vulcan custom, but not Vulcan. 'Don't be pushed by your fears. Be led by your dreams' something I had written down earlier. A very vivid dream from the night before. It was of Seona, Maura and myself riding on horseback through a wooden scene. I remember having this very good feeling about myself and within the world all at once. It was the best dream I've ever had but it was followed by perhaps the worst. However in the dream Maura call out to Seaon but she doesn't use her name, instead she uses the nickname Link and suddenly I remembered. There were still large gaps but I remembered that day of riding. I remember the old game we use to play where she dressed up as her favorite character. I had even promised her I would teacher her to shoot a bow after the rain had stopped.

I walked in and called out the name Link to the hologram and the character of Seona changed from the beautiful woman she was into this worn, battered and exhausted image of Seona. She started to speak to me. She acted as if she was talking to an old friend and some how I had forgotten her. A lot of what she said was difficult to understand, she seemed so broken, and confused. I hate to admit it, but she came off as sounding crazy. We were able to find out that she had impersonated the petty office during her captivity to protect the codes for the defense array on Velos. When she came home she was institutionalized because she had issues accepting that the war was actually over. She said that during an outing she realized that the Dominion was going to mount an attack against the Federation. She couldn't tell me how she knew this cause she didn't know herself.

She broke into a Private party, in which Admiral Tate was attending and she just kept telling them the war with the dominion wasn't over, that war was coming. The event was documented in the personnel file for Petty Officer Traver. She ended up having to be stunned by security personnel. She was taken back to the hospital but somehow managed to send an urgent message to someone in Starfleet command. She didn't understand why they didn't believe her. I couldn't help but imagine that she just sounded crazy.

She even tried to show us on a crude map of what she believe the attack would look like. I hated to admit it, but it really didn't make much sense to me. The map and all of this didn't add up. It had been nearly a year and the war was over. In fact the Dominion had left the Alpha Quadrant and had not been heard from since. I couldn't believe what she was saying. I didn't want to believe. But all that changed when she rambled off something. I didn't even think she knew what she was saying. But I knew what it was. A series of numbers and commands that could only equal one thing. Communication Command Protocols. A ultra secret protocol used by Starfleet Command to keep track of where all Starfleet ships were. In that moment, I knew we were in trouble.

After she was sedated and restrained at the party, they sent her back to the hospital where she tried to resist more. But was put to sleep. It was then when she claimed that someone was trying to kill her. She pleaded with me to believe her. She claimed that they were trying to stage her suicide. I might have forgotten the woman before me, but I couldn't help but feel heartbroken as I looked in to her eyes. She was crying. If I recalled the time table, she made this holovid only a couple of weeks after all this started. I think at this stage, she was being chased and was reaching a breaking point. *pauses*

But back to her story, she claimed that she was being transported back to a more secure facility. It was when she woke up, that she saw a pair of Starfeet Security officers. She was able to give me an image of a a man and a woman dressed in Starfleet Security Uniforms. *pauses for a moment* I have to make sure to get these images to V'rol, maybe he can use them to get an identity.

She said that they were trying to inject her with something. She said that the crew of the shuttle was already dead. She said that she fought back, a phaser were fired and the runabout crashed allowing Seona escaped. She now fears for her life from Starfleet, who she claims is trying to killer. I am still trying to verify if the same two officers were the same as those who visited the priest and Dr. Bashir. But that will be for V'rol to uncover.

As Seona continued her story of being on the run. Her story was of a on going chase from San Fransisco across Earth back to Scotland. She told me that she returned to the estate that she was raised only to find that those she knew were all gone. This confirmed what Commander Bonham uncovered. She told me that her plan was to contact Father Douglas and try to escape off world. She said that she wanted to contact my mother and father. I already knew that she didn't reach my father as he was off world. But I don't know if she reached my mother. We knew from Father Douglas that he did give Seona help to get off world. But I have to know if she reached my mother before my mother was put in hiding. *a deep sigh* but that is another story for a different time. Lieutenant Kinchlirah warned of becoming distracted.

Seona said that she tried to find me, but couldn't. She accused me of not replying to her calls for help. I couldn't look this hologram in the eyes and not feel as if somehow I let the real Seona down. I felt like I had betrayed her. My lack of memory didn't make all this any better. This is where Lt. Jr. Noonia became distracted, as he wanted to analyze the messages from my mother but the background of the video was a hologram. Noonia seemed to think it could still tell us something but I'm not sure what.

Unfortunately, we didn't get anywhere else with the holovids but if there is time I wouldn't mind trying again. I have to find out how Seona got those command protocols. With this information it would be helpful in finding out who was after Seona. So far the only direction to look at is Admiral Tate, but the man is my best friends and there is no way I believe him to be a traitor or a murder. I'm going to inform him about the codes when we arrive at his location, if he doesn't change them I guess it will prove me wrong, but I wont doubt him until I have reason to. *sigh*. What a shitty first week as Captain. I guess the honeymoon will have to wait.

Computer, stop and save personal log. Copy this log and attach the file images of those after Seona. Send files to Lt. Commander V'rol's personal data pad. *the computer confirms transfer*

Hopefully he can help us find her and stop what she fears is coming.

End log.....

RE: Act Two, Scene One
The Captain looked at Dr. Bell for a moment before turning his attention to Dr. McCoy. "I realize I am only a Starfleet Captain with little knowledge of science or its mysteries but are you really telling me that you cannot even tell if its human or alien?" The annoyance was obvious in his voice. Dr. Bell started to speak but the Captain held up his hand, "Dr. McCoy?"

Dr. Bell lowered his head in disappointment but accepted the orders of Captain Campbell. Dr. McCoy stepped forward and padded Dr. Bell on the back, "Captain, normally it would be easy to tell what genome a being came from. However this level of splicing has made it almost impossible to tell. I understand that you might not be impressed with Dr. Bell, but he the closest thing to an expert that we have aboard. With over twenty years of experience in genetics as well as exobiology, I urge you to hear him out." With that, she moved aside and allowed Dr. Bell to continue.

Taking in a deep breath, "Sir, the level of splicing that we see in the three samples has never been done before in humans. I had to go back nearly two centuries till I found a match in technique. Sir, have you ever heard of the The Suliban Cabal? They were an interstellar terrorist organization active in the 22nd century. According to sealed Starfleet records that predate the Federation its self, The Cabal took their orders from a mysterious figure who was humanoid and rumored to communicated to them from the 28th century. The report goes on with this outlandish story that this person was a representative of a faction in something called the Temporal Cold War. This individual used the Cabal as his foot soldiers in his attempts to alter history towards his own ends."

Dr. Bell took a moment to allow the information to sink in before continuing, "No, I do not suspect that this Temporal Cold War is behind what is going on. Truthfully, I don't even believe such a thing actually ever existing. But within this file, were details of very similar techniques in splicing genes. It is my opinion that this sealed file was used as a frame work to create Maura then later Seona. Based on this, I was able to narrow down what we can know from the genes. This unknown donor you are asking about, Sir. Well, the closest thing that we can be assured of is that there is a 60% accuracy that it was male and a 43% that it was from Indo-Asian region of Earth. I am sorry Sir, past that we have nothing else."

Looking back at Dr. Bell Captain Campbell sighed before adding, "Forgetting the why for a moment, how is this possible? What series of events would lead to these DNA patterns? Is the Major a clone using part of my DNA?"

Dr. Bell listens to the Captain questions and shakes his head, "No captain. Not a clone. You and the Major and Seona are all independent life forms. You each are basically human and not clones of any other life form. As far as your own genome goes, I cannot confirm if alien DNA was used in the building blocks nor can I eliminate the possibility of it either. My colleagues and I have not been able to identify evidence either way of this. You have to understand the remarkable nature of all of this. None of us had ever seen a life form created in such a way. And I don't think we ever will again. Who ever did this, had remarkable access to scientific data. Some of these files were sealed by the Federation Council in 2268. And just like the Suliban Cabal, knowledge of them were very limited. Even in this meeting, I am unsure if we are breaking Federation Law or not."

It was on that note that Dr. McCoy stepped forward, "thank you Dr. Bell" she said softly. She knew that there was nothing more that Dr. Bell could offer. "We will speak more on this later today. Please thank your friends for their help." She waited for him to leave before turning her attention back to the captain. "Captain," Dr. McCoy says looking back at him. "There is more that does not include your DNA and past that needs to be mentioned." Taking a breath and continuing. "the Interview with The Gul prove to be...interesting. I reviewed his medical file and found that when he was apprehended there were doses of a drug called Cal'ix in his system. Cal'ix was developed by the Cardassians to destroy memory of a subject. It was highly effective in causing victims to suffer from a calming effect and euphoria. Yes, I understand that this doesn't match the behavior we witnessed. However that answer came when Dr. Vanlaere took a blood sample during our interview with him. Within that sample we found in his system not only Cal'ix, but also a street drug of similar design called Cal'ex. Unlike Cal'ix, Cal'ex stimulates the mind's memory and creates powerful hallucinations from them. With Cal'ex, the victim are forced in to reliving heightened emotional scenes from their past. These two drugs differ only by a small margin."

She paused a moment before continuing, "I had my team run tests on the Gul's blood sample as well as that of our intruder. The Gul's blood has both Cal'ix as well as doses of Cal'ex within his system. The intruder has only Cal'ex in her system but at a nearly five to one ratio of that of Gul Bolon. So my surprise, the Cal'ex in both Seona's blood as well as in Gul Bolon were created by the same black market lab. I spoke with Law Enforcement experts on this street drug. They knew the drug in question as well as the supplier who created it. The man who created this drug was arrested on Earth back in November, 2376. His black market lab was seized and shut down as well. They had matching samples of this drug in evidence."

"After speaking with them, I came to this conclusion. What ever someone wanted Seona to forget would be nearly impossible for her to ignore now. Based on what experts have told me about this street drug, with this amount of drug in her system it is possible that the damage to her mind could be permanent. Just like with Gul Bolon, it is my belief that with that little bit of drug present he is going to be reliving those final scene with the Major for a very long time."

Dr. McCoy looked down as she took a seat next to Captain Campbell. "Sir, I can't help but feel for Seona after learning what I have about this drug. If this intruder is Seona, is reliving the waking nightmares of whatever hellish past she has. Gods save her if it is Seona and the nightmare of the prisoner camp she was in. A fate that I would have rather chosen death over."
