A Dark Heart
Simon assessed the damages to his monster lab, the frayed and fried notes that had been invested into. Fingertips touched them, before grabbing the entire table and flipping it over in a rage. Eyes whipped around to this room. It wasn't enough. The filthy Vampire wasn't controlled enough here. Trusting in his Brother was a foolish idea.

The review of the situation was plain. They had no sufficient data of Vampires and their capabilities available. Even worse, his own brothers specialties had been insufficient to handle the mental capabilities of the vampire. Simon had terminated the experiment with extreme prejudice at the first sign of his brother cracking. The pain and anguish upon Richard's face had been ignored as flame was layered upon the Vampire. Stopping wouldn't have saved his brother, and there was no long term damage to be found upon his physical form.

With that, Simon started to really consider his monster room. There were rooms in the house designed for this or that. The following of Richard's desires lead to torment. There would be no more captures in the future. Mages and Vampires. Was his soft nature the reason for this? Was it the empathy he felt, the desire to let all things live? Vampires non-withstanding from that thought, it hadn't been the first time he had bucked against what was going on and watched it fail. Maybe he should just become silent and simply tuck into the realm he knew best.

With that, Simon quietly left the house. Nobody was going to look for him anyway, so he simply took a short period of time to create permanent windows for his Car, and then got into it and left. He was heading towards the Free Council, to train himself beyond where he was at the moment. His lack of power only seemed to harm those he cared about. Perhaps Baba-chan would be good knowledge, the old lady he had met at the Free Council. His car started up with a Purr, and the Garage opened. He would leave without a word, as at this moment Rebecca and Kira were watching over his brother.

RE: A Dark Heart
Quietly glanced about the empty walls of the house. This was madness, as it were. Was he who he was, or was he not? The doors would not respond. Internally Simon qualled. Externally most people admired his composure, even if he wasn't the bravest or strongest. Simon was always Simon to them. It was that pillar that allowed his brother Richard to bounce off the walls to grow.

Yet now, these very same fingers that were his had been altered. He could feel the changes. In truth, the only thing that truly bothered him was the lack of taste. The skills were all there, but the taste of the food was gone. It made that aspect of his senses dull in his mind. So he experimented quietly in the Kitchen. There wouldn't be that close of an eye. He would add different Ingredients together. Slowly experimenting with all things. Bugs. Worms. Blood. Just a tiny bit.

Thinking back of the Monster Lab that he had so kindly provided for his own Kin and Cabal, Simon Blanched. Would they Dissect him too? He had been bold and blunt to Rebecca, but that was because he genuinely didn't know. The confidence of self wasn't fractured. Simon WAS Simon. He just didn't know what kind of Simon he was yet. That was what was bothering him. Nibbling on the various little stews he made, trying to figure the answer while hiding his own experimentation.

Grinned to himself. Things in the Cabal were doing well. Yet Simon once again thought to his lack of Taste. The monster lab had been able to be accessed once he tried again. He wasn't surprised, the Cabal believed whole heartedly that Simon was Simon. Simon thought that was a good thing. It was good to get into Capers with his brother again.

Meatball had been a focus of late. The dead Golem had been an Enigma, yet after the events of the missing three weeks, he felt there was a deep connection. An inner peace inside of him that blossomed outwards. Not a lack of Violence as it were, but a sense of knowing whom he was in regards to the world. A satisfying sensation to Simon.

Solaire and Simon spent time in this room training once more. Practicing his Athletics to keep ahead of the swift blows of Solaire. Now that he could heal himself, the fighting was more serious. Testing his stamina and endurance to the limits. They would always pull just short of actually killing each other. It was an ability that those who trusted each other to spar at the limit could. Simon had a deep respect for Solaire and his commitment to their relationship. Simon could only hope that his story would be one that Solaire would reflect on as he grew to be the Master Spirit Simon knew he would be.
