Sister Sister (Part Four)

(Occ: Takes place after the abyssal earthworm was killed.)

Kira reached out touching Rebecca's shoulder stopping her from leaving her room. "Oh no you don't. Your going help me with this mess." she crossed her arms looking upset that her room was ruin. She looked around her room and down at the dead worm on the ground. Kira knew that Rebecca would want to look at the worm more closer for her book regarding paradox.

Rebecca looked around at the room that had been cleaned only a few days ago. Her heart sank as she saw the room in such a state of chaos. She looked around then walked over to the dead worm. "Well at least it wasn't my room" she joked as she lowered herself next to the worm. "Kira look, its blood is acidic"

Rebecca moved the husk of the worm around carefully, "you know Kira, you really did well" she said glancing at Kira over her shoulder. "I was wrong earlier. But you do need to start fighting like that. Cause girl, you really kick ass"

She continued to move the husk around, "look how thick its natural armor is."

Rebecca got up, "Kira don't let that thing go anywhere" she said as she darted out of the room.

A few minutes later Rebecca returned with her recorder and a blank disks. Rebecca started to transfer what she saw in the form of images to the disks. She treated the worm like a major new find for her book. She recorded every observation she had about the worm. She started to speak about what events brought the worm in to being and what the worm could do. That the worm couldn't be tracked through magic and its resistance to major. Even how it grew in size after Simon tried to cast a spell on it. "Kira this is amazing" she said as for the first time, she had something from the abyss to study.

Kira rubbed her arm a bit. It was strange, because even though it was fully healed she could still feel the wound. Her mind could still feel the that strange creature latching on to her arm. Kira looked up from her arm and made a face "yea it had to pick my room...I guess it gives me an excuse to remodel and redo my net trap.”

Kira was already making a list of materials she would need to rebuild her booby trap. Kira smiled proudly "I told you I could prove myself." She listened to her sister looking at the creature closely to see if she could slow down the decaying process. Kira knew that she could cast a time spell to slow down the process, but that could require a massive amount of mana to complete. “Rebecca I know you need time to study this but I don’t think I can slow down time enough to keep it from decaying,” Kira said softly.

Kira watched over the creature while Rebecca ran out of the room. Kira wasn’t even sure if Rebecca was even listening to her. "Unfortunately I can’t slow or stop the decaying processes since magic won’t work on the creature.''

Rebecca was only half listening to what Kira was saying. This creature is the most incredible thing she ever came across. Rebecca moved around the creature more like a scientist than a mage. “Kira, I need a time bubble around us. I will be extend casting a series of spells.” Rebecca started to move her hands over the creature and started to cast her spells. Already as Kira was starting to create the time bubble, Rebecca knew what she wanted to do. She would unleash forces and magic in its purest form in the name of science.

Kira watched Rebecca as she looked at the Abyssal creature. It was strange seeing Rebecca like this. Almost as if her sister was in her own little world. Kira heard the request to create the time bubble. Kira wondered what got in to Rebecca's head. "What are you planning to do?" wondering if her sister heard her say magic wouldn't work on the creature. She guess her sister had her mind set on what she was planning to do.

Rebecca reached out through forces as her hands moved over the body of the creature. Her eyes scanned the body slowly plotting out what she was going to do. She felt the time bubble going up around her as she created levels of protection for Kira and everyone else watching what was going on. Rebecca then made herself immune to heat, radiation as well as anything that might be harmful to others. Rebecca also shifted the magnetic fields directly around the creature to ensure that near by metals wouldn't interfere with her plans. She looked over the body once more to make sure that all steps were taken to protect the subject as well as the others in the room.

"Kira, the creature's magic resistance is gone. Think of it like my counter magic stance, its a learned ability. Not a natural one. Which means that once the creature is dead, this resistance is gone also." Rebecca explained. She glance around the room and wondered if Simon or Richard would like to take part in the medical examination of the body.

Rebecca drew in a deep breath as her hands moved to either side of the body. She cleared her mind and started to extend cast a series of spells. Rebecca started to utter in High Speech to get the best results of her spells. Her planned was to use Space to go deeper in to the creature's body. She would use forces to create a series of penetrating waves to see every aspect of the creature's body.

As she started to penetrate the creatures body with sound waves, light waves, and even radioactive waves Rebecca hoped that she would have a clear image of the inside of the creature. Rebecca knew what she wanted to do, and wasn't worried about the images in the moment as she moved through each set of waves. As the waves moved through creature, an image was created in Rebecca's mind. Using One Mind, Two Thoughts, she used control light to create an image of the inside of the creature for everyone to see.

It must have been a remarkable light show for everyone else, or at least Rebecca hoped so. Rebecca was determined to complete the multi-layer scan with a scientific vigor. Painfully slow, Rebecca moved her hands on either side of the creature making sure not to rush it or miss anything. As the image formed of the creature's inside, she channeled the image to her digital recorder that was sitting next to her. She wanted to make sure that she could review the results of this scan at a later date.

Everything she could think of from X-Rays to MRI's and all things in between were used to get one of the most in depths images of the creature without making a single cut. All at the same time, Rebecca observed how the flow of magic moved around her. If for any reason it started to get out of control Rebecca was ready to protect her Cabal with one of her most powerful counterspells.

(OOC: Rebecca will be spending four Mana on Space Spells to help with pulling this medical imaging off. She will also continue to cast her spells to get the maximum effect of the imaging. Focus will be the key of Rebecca's effort on this)

Kira watched Rebecca prepare for her spell. In hopes of assisting her sister, Kira granted by casting 9's again on Rebecca. "I can see if an Abyssal creature can be filmed " Kira said as she glanced over at her computer. Unfortunately all that remained of Kira's computer was a shattered blackened frame that was once the monitor. Her desk was in ruins, and her papers were scattered all over the place.

She remember hearing an explosion and knew that Rebecca had all the explosives that the Cabal had. "Oh you are so buying me a new computer!" Kira spat at Rebecca.

Was invited to take part of the examination of the body. As a person who has a self totted monster lab of sorts, he was indeed interested! Simon would support Rebecca by doing a complete Life Mage Workover on it, careful to not insert any magic directly into it, but carefully probe it for answers. "Should we put it in my lab to work with? I am not entirely comfortable without strapping it down in some way."

Rebecca nodded as she continued to penetrate the creature with her light and sound waves. "Richard can you please set up a link between Simon and I so that we can share what share what we are detecting through our magics." Once the link was created, Rebecca added Simon's own results to the image that she was creating so that everyone could see what was being discovered. The image of the creature hovered before Kira and Richard for them to look at it.

Rebecca continued to form a three dimensional image of the creature for everyone else to see. "look Simon, after death the creature's armor retains its durability but its magical resistances has faded. Can you tell the properties of the blood?"

She glanced up at Simon, "I don't know if we have enough time. Its body is decaying at a faster rate. Kira can't slow down the decay without spending tons of mana."
