Duncan Starchaser
Character Name: Duncan Starchaser Species: Human Homeworld: Naboo Classes: Jedi Guardian Height: 2.0 m Weight: 93 kg Build: Muscular Hair: Dark Brown Eyes: Light Brown Skin: Caucasian
Duncan Starchaser was a foundling, brought to the doorstep of Ian Starchaser the Chief of a small village in the mountains of Naboo during the Winter Solstice of c. 2894 aok, by a local peasant. Knowing his wife, had just given birth to a stillborn son, the elder Starchaser decided to claim the newborn infant. The loss of his son was kept secret, and Ian raised Duncan as his own.
However, his time with the Starchaser’s was short lived as it was soon learned that he had a strong affinity with the force and was taken to Coruscant to begin his training as a Jedi at the age of 4. As a Jedi Initiate, Starchaser trained alongside other Jedi hopefuls of his age. It was discovered from early on that he had a natural gift for lightsaber combat as he quickly began to surpass his initiates. He also showed a talent for piloting.
At the age of 9, Duncan was chosen by Master Dooku, a respected instructor in the Jedi Temple and one of the most renowned swordsmen in the galaxy, to be his Padawan.

RE: Duncan Starchaser
At age 13, the hilt of which the thirteen-year-old Jedi Padawan assembled in an entranced state (from pieces he'd found or built earlier) during his Initiate's 'Gathering' trial in the Crystal Caves of Ilum. Rather than imitate his master's hilt design, as was customary, Duncan Starchaser instead created a deceptively solid, heavy-duty hilt that favored maximum strength. The dual-phase weapon featured a sculpted Krayt dragon bone, a solid casing within the bone, a beveled emitter shroud as well as a “button-style" activator. Along with the color crystal, it also utilized a high output diatium power cell and a dual-phase focusing crystal. After its construction, Dooku said to him "Duncan, this weapon is your life."
At the age of 27, Duncan used the rest of the Krayt dragon bone to create a companion lightsaber.

Things were happening so fast. One moment Duncan was standing on roof of the resort talking to Padme and listening to what she had to tell him about how she was losing control of the other cadets. Then out of nowhere he was confronting… a creature he had never even heard of before. But more than that he felt nothing but pure evil coming from it. The creature kept asking him the same question over and over that still didn’t make sense to Duncan. He kept asking if he was the one, the one that prophecy foretold, and how he had foreseen that he would meet this champion there. Then the creature was throwing Padme over the edge to her appearant death. Duncan didn’t think he just acted and dove off the roof after her trusting in not just his ability but also in the Force. He caught her and turned around and was about to reach out to grab hold of a nearby scaffold. He was not expecting to see the Zeta-class shuttle come up behind him, nor to feel himself being caught, by what he knew was, people using the Force. He had been saved by those that he was tasked to keep alive.
Things moved even faster once the shuttle had landed. Padme, before she was taken into custody, had given him a holodisk. That evening when he had time and was by himself he played it. He saw as two powerful Jedi crossed blades in the Grand Council Chamber before Grand Master Dooku, Master Windu, Master Shaak Ti and a pair of Republic Royal Guards. The drawn out fierce battle ended when Chancellor Syrdash disarmed Graff and claimed his right eye in a combination attack. As she announced the end of the duel and walked away, Graff attempted to attack her from behind. He was stunned by the two Royal Guards. Chancellor Syrdash, enraged by the dishonorable attack reactivated her lightsaber and moved to strike the unconscious Graff.
When the video finished, Duncan deactivated it and removed the disk. He saw how others could see the video and think that the Chancellor was a murderer. However, the video was interrupted at the moment when the killing blow was supposedly delivered. This made the evidence highly circumstantial in his mind. He wondered if there was a better version of this footage somewhere. It was something he would need to meditate on. Not just trying to find an answer to if the Chancellor was a murderer, but also what to do with the disk itself.
When his meditation session was completed Duncan was physically refreshed, however he didn’t have an answer to all the questions he had before he started. What he did know was that even though he wasn’t sure about these Jedi yet, what he did know that they deserved to know and see what Padme had given them. And perhaps they would have a better idea of what to do now that they had this information.

Nineteen days ago, the 10th division was tasked with overseeing the transfer of control of the temple on Bothila 3 from the Jedi Order over to a group of schismatic Jedi. I will not go into details on the negotiation process that enable this to occur since that would take up far too much time. Everything appeared to be going as planned and although there was pressure to make the agreed upon time table, we were on schedule, that is until day fourteen. With less than a day remaining progress had slowed dramatically. Master Osha had informed me that she would need more time. After some mediation, I was able to secure four more days for her, even though I sensed that some deception. Instead of bringing up my concerns to the future masters of the temple I went to Master Osha herself and asked her in person why suddenly there was such a delay. She did her best to reassure me that it was just some unforeseen delays, which later turned out to be true from a certain point of view. What I did not know at this time, Master Osha had discovered some information about some Sith artifacts that supposedly belonged to Revan secured in the vault and had begun an operation to secure those artifacts.
My team and I had continued to do our duties as inspectors over the next 24 hours when we noticed unusual things. Crates weren’t being filled completely. Items that weren’t supposed to be shipped out were all of a sudden being put in crates as if they were to be sent back to Coruscant. A member of my team Ni was the first to come into conflict with one of the Jedi. I am not totally aware how she found herself some two hours (on foot) away from the temple. But from what I was told she found the shack and when she went to investigate it, she was confronted by one of the temple guards. The two had some sort of an altercation that resulted in Ni’s being slightly injured and eventually restrained and tied to a nearby tree.
During this time, an incident occurred in the temple where a prized replica statue had been destroyed. Apparently, Jedi Knight Jayden Starchaser had believed that the reason for the slowdown was due someone trying to smuggle items not on the approved list off world. Believing the statue to have been a fake he smashed it only to discover his assumption was incorrect. Because of his actions. Jedi Starchaser was removed from inspection duty.
During this time Jedi Gadeon had become worried about Ni’s disappearance and attempted to use the resources of the Vengeance to locate her. At first that wasn’t possible, however eventually her locator beacon had been activated and we were able to locate her. My personal team along with a few arc troopers went to Ni’s location.
Upon our arrival, we rescued Ni from her situation, and then proceeded to investigate what had happened to her. As we went to the shack, Jedi Padawan Ashla Marr noticed a powerful force illusion had been activated. Once it was dispelled we uncovered what appeared to be a cavern that had been dug several hundred feet straight down. I left three Arc Trooper above ground to monitor things and proceeded with my team down the shaft. When we reached the bottom, we discovered a man-made tunnel heading in the direction of the temple. When we arrived at the end of the tunnel we found three Jedi conducting drilling operations. We stunned and secured them. I attempted to gather information from one of them, however he refused to tell me anything and instead referred to me as a traitor. It had become obvious to me by this point that this had to be the real reason Master Osha had requested the extra time. I reached out through the Force and asked her to meet me.
What I didn’t know is that Master Osha had already arrived. When we reached the surface she and twenty-nine other Jedi had killed the three Arc troopers that had remained behind to guard the entrance, and captured my team as we exited the shaft. Master Osha ordered my surrender and as I complied I asked her to tell me why she couldn’t have told me about this when I first came to her with my suspicions that something was wrong as I could have assisted her in keeping things quiet. This was when Master Osha informed me of what she had discovered in the master’s archives. She then continued to inform me that I did not need to know what was going on, and even if I did she wouldn’t have shared the information with a traitor to the Jedi Order such as myself.
It was at this point that Jedi Starchaser, who had continued to feel that something wasn’t right, had arrived with several arc troopers to our last known location. Even though I had the upper hand at this point I urged Master Osha to allow us to help her that we could have figured out a way to handle this. I had even suggested we enlist the aid of some of the schismatic Jedi that we knew for a fact have issues with the Church of Heaven and wouldn’t want them and specifically Graff to come into possession of any of Revan’s artifacts. She refused my offer. As such I felt as if I had no choice but to remove her and her twenty-nine compatriots to the Vengeance and hold them in custody until the transfer was over.
I did see the Master’s point however and didn’t want Graff to come into possession of anything that might have been in that vault. So, I ordered a couple of teams to continue the drilling. Upon breaching the vault, we found the chamber that was supposed to contain the items. We opened it and discovered that it was empty. Using the Force, Unna Hi Chaanu, could see into the past and discovered that there was only one item, that appeared to be a holocron of some sort, and had been taken by a tall male that she didn’t recognize. I’m attaching the description she gave me at the bottom of this report.
In the end, we were able to leave the planet without the schismatic Jedi learning what we had done, at least for now, as well as concealing the break in to the best of our ability. I am turning Master Osha and her people over to the High Council. I hold no ill will towards her or any of the other Jedi. In their position, I might have done the same thing. I fear however that it will not be long before the schismatic Jedi and through them the OPA will discover what happened and at least some of this will need to be revealed. I’m including in this report a copy of my official report to the Chancellor. It contains much of the same information as I have detailed her, however there is no mention of the possible Sith artifacts and instead states that Master Osha and her people were attempting to take items from the vault in violation the signed agreement and that they were then apprehended and turned over to the High Council. Hopefully the Council will be able to see that proper justice is done with these individuals and not have them undergo a mock trial for political expedience.

Day 1:
After master Dooku went back to his business Duncan made his way to the great library. He immediately began calling up everything he could on the Force Wars, and Reven. He focused learning everything the Jedi had on record of Reven's inate abilities as well as fighting style. He then did a cross search for any current Jedi in the order that might have similar abilities and fighting techniques. He needed to see if the evidence was there for that the Force had revealed to him. He wondered if this would be a long day or a short day in the library.

Traveling to Javin Day 3 :
After talking with Ni, Duncan looked at his instruments one more time. R4 assured him that they were still on course. He remembered one of the things an instructor at the temple had said in regards to hyperspace travel. Something to the effect 'Hyperspace travel isn't the most effecient form of faster than light travel... it was the only way.' He had logged so many hyperspace miles the last few years he now knew that to be true. Since there wasn't anything else for him to do at the moment he decided to emerse himself deep into the Force and see if he could see what was ahead of them on their journey (20 on farseeing).

RE: Duncan Starchaser
The long voyages in to the unknown often takes its toll on both mind and body of lone pilots. Despite what efforts were taken to ease the discomfort, it never truly vanishes. The body demands to be allowed to stretch out and the cockpit of a small fighter simply doesn’t allow for that. This voyage had already started to take its toll on Duncan
Duncan Starchaser had been locked in his fighter for what appeared like a life time. While there were refueling stops, and short breaks along the way it didn't change the discomfort he now felt in his legs. His body was already starting to scream at the discomfort.
In hopes of getting his mind off such things, he reached out through the Force and opened himself to the currents of the Force. Almost immediately he felt the powerful currents drawing him down the path that the party was already on.
As he slipped deeper in to meditation, he felt the space around him slip away. The vibrations of his engines became softer and softer until he could no longer feel the cockpit that he was sitting in. Instead he felt warmth wash over him.
As if someone had slowly turned up the lights, Duncan saw himself standing on deck of a large ship. This strange ship had large vast outrigging that appeared to catch energy. Across the ship were these tall humanoids. They were slender in build with larger than normal eyes and pointed ears. They were dressed in simple, yet elegant clothing. He could see a group of these creatures controlling this ship.
To Duncan’s amazement they were navigating the vastness of space without technology. Instead, they could feel their way across the stars through the webs of the Cosmic Force. It was then that Duncan realized that they were all force sensitive. But not like him. Duncan had felt the Force in others before. He could feel the light or dark within them. But in these creatures, he only sensed what could be pure Cosmic Force. Beyond the ship he was standing on, were a dozen other ships of similar design. The fantastic ships glimmered as they moved through space.
Across the open deck, Duncan saw children running across the deck as they ran for the other side of the ship. It was then at that moment that Duncan realized what the children were so excited about. A massive Neebray manta sailing through space with all the majesty that Duncan had read about. As he followed the children, he watched the Neebray join a massive pod of other Neebray.
The children waved with excitement to the creatures as they continued to move away from the ship. Duncan had never seen a Neebray before, as they were very rare. But right before him, he saw tens of thousands of these massive creatures. Duncan couldn’t help himself as he watched the pod move past them. Watching these graceful and beautiful creatures almost brought a tear to Duncan’s eye.
A commotion on the deck forced his attention to a large world. Islands dotted the strange world of blue and green. The ships started to slow down as they approached the world. Duncan could see many ships like his also moving towards the world. Duncan could sense something very important was the draw on these ships. Moving with all the grace of a starfighter a fraction of the size, the ships moved as they approached a massive island.
The ships started to land on a field near a great Temple. For some reason, Duncan wasn’t surprised when he saw that this massive Temple was nearly identical to the Temple on Coruscant. The only difference was that it was three times larger. The massive structure appeared to be a great central place to these people. Perhaps even a seat of their government. These strange beings started to move towards the Temple. Duncan could sense that they were called upon for some great task.
As they walked closer, Duncan took in the Temple. Its massive spires reached up into the heavens. The tops of the spires were obscured by clouds. Though through the clouds, he could see a bright glowing Nexus of energy. The Nexus appeared to be centered over the center spire and Duncan could feel the energy from the Nexus flowing around him. His body surged with its power. So much so that he could feel the darkside growing stronger within him.
Lines of those creatures were forming around the main entrances of the Temple. Most entered the Temple from two large main entrances on either side of the middle of the Temple. But it was the entrances on the sides that drew his attention. The entrance to the north, one caught his attention. As his gaze guided him, he could sense the darkside from these creatures. They calmly walked through the entrance as Duncan followed. Just within the entrance, Duncan saw a large wading pool. Its waters were blue and inviting.
Ten creatures lined either side of the pool. Duncan could sense that they were manipulating the waters but couldn’t figure out how. He felt the Cosmic Force flowing for the first time. All his life, he had been attuned to the Force, but never had he ever felt so connected to it. In that moment as the waters washed over him and the creatures did their thing, Duncan knew what each one of them knew. Why today was so special. It was the day that they had decided to kill one of their own.
Feeling their thoughts, Duncan understood that this decision was not made lightly. One of their own, Abeloth, had turned her powers to praying upon the child races of the Galaxy. She had created two monsters known as The Daughter and The Son. Together, the three caused chaos and terror across the galaxy, forcing the entire race to capture their wayward member. Never had they had to deal with anything like Abeloth. After thirty thousand years of debate, they finally decided to kill one of their own.
Rising from the waters, he felt renewed. He couldn’t explain it, but he knew that there was a similar pool on the south side of the Temple. Walking past the pool, he could see things completly different. This wasn’t a temple at all. For them, this was one of many. A center of commerce, a place of study, a place learning. It was also a place of transit.
As he explored he found a large room with hundreds of those “Eyes” like he had seen on that Azgardian world. But instead of looking through them. People were coming and going through them. It was a massive hub of transit. But to Duncan’s surprise, he saw very little in terms of military or even security presence. Not even weapon positions. Only a handful of guards that were lightly armed.
He moved through the chambers of the building and found a library. Here he watched these young creatures learn how to use the Force. Duncan was surprised to see that some of their youngest children were as powerful as any Jedi or Sith Master he had read about. He could see that removing the tainting of both light and dark was central to their culture. What he did see was one of their scrolls. Their language was very strange and complex. While they were technology advanced, it appeared that they only focused on expanding their understanding of the force.
As he moved higher in to the Temple, he saw a great council chamber. Hundreds of these creatures have come to witness the first execution in their recorded history. The top of the chamber was opened for this purpose. It was here that Abeloth was brought from her prison to face her execution. It was a somber moment as it rested heavy on each member here. High above, Duncan could see the massive power used to contain Abeloth. It was the sum of this entire culture’s resources that created that Nexus which brought her from her prison to this place and held her here.
As he gazed in to it, he could hear her voice. That same voice that he heard back on Geonosis. She mocked them and laughed, “release me, and I will spare you with a quick death….”
That was when Duncan awoke from his vision. It was like nothing he had ever experienced before. It was as if he had touched the source of all knowledge and for an instant knew everything. And yet it was more than that he had felt contected to everything in away he had never felt before. But now all that was gone, except for the memory of it. He thought about telling the others about it but how could he explain this... explain what he felt... It was too vibrant for words, at least any he could think of. He needed time to reflect on this, to try and decern the hidden truths of it all. Fortunately he still had several days before they reached their final destination. Maybe by then he'll have figured out how to tell the others of this.

En Route to Coruscant
Date: 2920 AOK
The trip back to Coruscant, except for being in the fighter trveling through hyperspace, wasn't like the trip to Avalon. He'd spend some several hours reviewing the crystal that they had found back on Avalon, or was it that other world. But the amount of concentration that it took often left him both physically and mentally exhausted. But when he could no longer study the recordings he found himself thinking about what they had found on Avalon, or to be more accurate what they hadn't found on Avalon. Master Dooku had given him a message that had orginated from the location of Avalon that was supposedly sent by Kira Carsen the woman he had once been in love with, but had died only a couple of years before. And yet when the arrived there there was no sign of her, instead they had found Auro and Amelia. And then there was that vision that he had had en route to Avalon that was like no force vision he had ever had before. It was so real it was as if he had physically been transported not just to Avalon but in the past. "The Key to unlocking the future can be found by diving into the past." he found himself muttering to himself as he slipped into sleep.

Duncan couldn't believe how much time he had been spending in this starfighter of late. However that was only the start of the changes it seemed. He had just found out about his blood sister and now it seemed that she was dead. Or at least that's what he had been told. Part of him couldn't help but feel that he'd know if Demya were really dead. However that could just be his emotional need for family. He had to focus on what was going on now, staying in the moment. They had information thanks to Zay that could help them deal with the new Vice Chancellor. Information that he had in fact killed the woman that Zay had seen as a sister. But Duncan knew that murder wouldn't be enough to deter this individual for long if at all. They needed to find information linking him to the sale of illegal weapons to the OPA. Then they'd have him on treason. A far greater crime in the eyes of the poloticians.

Before the events in Put this in your peace Pipe
Date: 2921 AOK
After returning to Iktotch and seeing how much work had been down on their new base Duncan decided to pay a visit to the neighbors the others had told him about. They sounded as if they might be usable… if they could be trained. He put on an environmental suit and then jumped into his fighter and made his way to the other side of the planet where the pirate base was located. When he arrived he walked into the pirate base calmly. He knew what he wanted to do and he began to use the Force he wanted to to inspire them, to make them feel as if they could truly belong to something.
The first pirate that he came in contact with was the first one he spoke to. Though he knew that the leader was a Zeltron. Eventually he’d need to convince her. “Well hello there, I’m Jedi Master Duncan Starchaser I believe you know a few of my friends.” He said introducing himself. “They told me a bit about your group and I thought I’d come over and get to know you better to see if you might be the right people I have in mind for a project. A project that would benefit me, but also be profitable for you and your group.” He was sure that using the word profit is what got him his meeting. The meeting where he discussed his desire to have some of the Jedi in his company train her people to be better at their chosen profession. They would be taught tactics, how to pick their targets. He even told them that once he and his people were ready they would even provide repair services for their ship and possibly upgrades. His conditions were however that they never attacked any innocent people. They could hit cartel bases all they wanted. But if he ever found out that they attacked an innocent ship he would personally see that they were dealt with. There would be times that he would have missions for them, in which they would split whatever they found.
