Breaking the Ice
(OOC: this takes place two weeks before the start of the next game. Unna received the events of the 4/27/17 event as a vision of the possible future.)
Unna sat in the lounge of the ship watching a celebrity gossip show as she widdled away at a woodworking project. She was just fascinated by the pop icon Dia Zall and the drama that she seemed to get herself into. The latest news on the female lead of the latest musical phenomenon called Twi'light was that Dia had kicked the male lead, who was also rumored to be her boyfriend, Ar'stel, in the face! Rumor had it that Dia could be kicked out of the band.
"This is ridiculous!" Unna shouted at the holovision, giggling and looking around to catch the reactions of the others in the room. Then, with a flash, Unna found herself standing in the presence of Auro, Todd, and the rest of the party. There was conflict within the ranks over working together on a mission. Auro delegated Duncan to take Unna, Jayden, and Ashla and Auro stayed behind with Todd.
With another flash, Unna was fighting alongside those who Auro sent on the mission. Unna was now fighting for her life. She could feel her vitality depleating as she was being attacked by an axe wielding assailant. She could hear chainsaws and the screams of her friends. As she fought for her own life, she watched as one by one the lights in the lives of the others on the team extinguished. The next thing she saw was blade of the axe coming toward her face. Then darkness.
She then saw the darkness turn to light. "Yes, that is her," Unna could hear Auro say.
"Auro?" Unna mumbled, to which she heard no response. She sat up and saw that she was in a room filled with metal tables. In the tables were the bodies of Ashla, Duncan, and Jayden. Auro was identifying the body of Sola. Unna realized that she was sitting on top of a table. She was sitting up on her own hacked up body. Blood covered her bejeweled horns and her face was split into two.
She was startled upon her return to the present. She looked around to see several soldiers staring at her, whispering. The holovision was still on and showing a replay of the security footage of Dia delivering the kick to Ar'stel's face.
"Uhhhh, uhhhhh...." Unna tried to think of a way to save face. "I just really, really don't want Twi'light to break up! It would be horrible!" She then gathered her things and returned to her quarters to contemplate her vision.

RE: Breaking the Ice
Todd was sitting in her bunker, muttering over her data pad as her fingers sailed swiftly over the keys. Soft, rhythmic "bleep"s could be heard with each stroke. The screen was flashing lines upon lines of numeric codes. She was so lost in concentration that she hardly paid much attention to the person entering the room, assuming it to be Ashla. However, when the Kel Dor glanced up from her screen, a small squeak of surprise escaped her throat. It was like a switch had been flipped in her psyche. She snapped to attention, staring up at Unna with wide eyes (or, rather, raised brows, as her eyes were hidden behind the protective goggles), perfectly still, as if calculating her options. Then, without a word, she took up her data pad and quickly retreated into her wall locker, slamming it shut from the inside.

RE: Breaking the Ice
Todd heard footsteps approach. The small slits of light shining into her locker dimmed. Was that the sound of flesh brushing metal? And then the sound of the bedroom door shutting again--who else had entered? Ideas raced through her mind and she could feel her heart pounding in her chest. "W--what is happening?" she stuttered through the thin metal door of the locker, which she suddenly realized was just a hopelessly fragile wall standing between her mind and one of The Mind Benders. "W--why are you here? D--did you want something?!"

RE: Breaking the Ice
(Todd got an 18 on a Will Save and Unna took 10 to get a 20 on her Empathy)
As Unna reached through the force to get a feel for Todd's emotions, she was filled with fear, vulnerability, and helplessness. Unna's head dropped as she continued to rest her hand on Tod's locker. Unna knew she and Todd weren't friends, especially since Unna had once escorted her to the brig in a firm and stern manner. Still, knowing this just made Unna feel guilty.
"Todd..." Unna spoke through the locker in a kind voice. "Listen, please. I am not here to lock you up and I would prefer you not lock yourself up either. If you come out, I give you my word that I won't take you to the brig."
Unna turned to see Ashla in the room. "Ashla is here. She wouldn't even let me take you to the brig, even if I wanted to, and I don't want to. I just want to talk."

RE: Breaking the Ice
There was a small pause of silence from the locker. She failed to calm the tremor in her voice as she called out, "Ashla?" with a tiny sigh of relief. Then, after another pause, she replied shakily, "L-look, I don't w-want any trouble and I'm not trying t-to be rude or w-whatnot, but I'd feel better if I could s-stay where I am, p-please...what do you wish to d-discuss?"

RE: Breaking the Ice
A surprising exclamation of passion erupts from the locker, "It is dark because the Jedi make it so!! They rampage their vendettas and civil wars across the lands of innocent lives and planets!! The Jedi are to blame for everything!! My home-world, my planet, my--" she abruptly stops there, remembering herself before completing the statement softly, painfully, "...my sister..." a dull clang of a fist feebly striking the inside of her locker rings out as she continues with a more deflated tone, "The Jedi can do whatever they please with us, can't they? Who are we to stop them? Even those brave enough to stand up to them can have their will bent at the Jedi's whim, if not cut down, rendering their choices insignificant. How can you change that which is innately set for eternal strife?! That's the thing, isn't it? My sister--" her voice breaks into bitter laughter, "--my naive, good-hearted, foolish sister--she should have known she was doomed the moment she joined ranks with the Jedi. Because it doesn't matter which side you're on, or if you're just a sorry soul caught in the crossfire, EVERYONE loses in the end!!" Her bout of rage ebbs into barely audible, anxiety-ridden gasps.
