This whole situation since the death of Tod had Duncan in conflict with his feelings. He hadn’t known her long, but he considered her a comrade… and more than that she was quickly becoming a trusted friend. Now she was gone. He had lost people he was close to before, but this just felt so senseless to him. Normally he would just do as he had been taught by Master Dooku. Death is a natural part of life, he was taught. Master Dooku always said that they should rejoice for those that had transformed into the Force. That we shouldn’t morn them or miss them. But for the first time in his life that was proving harder to do. The sound of Ashla’s voice is what snapped him out of his private thoughts. "Yes of course, anytime." he replied thankful for the chance at a distraction.

Ashla took an moment to gather her thought's, how she wanted to asked her question. " Back in our universe, the master's there taught us how to deal with our emotions. To not allow for them to get the best of us, how to put them aside and live by our code. Yet I find myself for once unable to simply do so this time. " she paused. " I been wanting to seek out a master again. The ones i had on fay seemed to be far to distracted or no longer there. I was wondering if you could perhaps would be that master? " Since she knew most of the one's on croissant had lost their way.

Duncan blinked a few times as he listened to what she had asked her. "Are you asking to finish your training as a Jedi?" he wanted to make sure he was understanding her correctly. He was no master, in fact since this war started he hadn't even thought about taking on a Padawan. Especially now since he had problems with how the Jedi, or at least most of them seemed to be handeling things. He was only going on as a Jedi because he continued to do what he believe was right, and tried to listen to what the Force asked of him. Was this something that the Force was asking him to do now he wondered.

Ashla understood Duncan's shock reaction. She nodded her head. "yes, I do. Now I understand the fact your not an master. However i been listening to the force, and this seems to be the correct path to take for me. " She paused for an moment to think. " continuing my training as a Jedi, was something I been planning ever since me, Auro and Unna left Fay. I just put it aside for along while. Though the past few month's it has been crossing my mind where i can't put it aside any longer. It's if the force believes I have put it aside long enough. " pausing again to allow Duncan to speak.

Duncan saw the desire in her eyes, and knew it was something she wanted. He just looked at her for a few more moments as if thinking about it. But in truth he had probably decided the moment she had asked. "I'll send the request to the High Council to take you on as my Padawan. I don't think they'll block it so we'll begin training first thing in the morning. That way by the time we get back to Fay and hear from them we'll have already started." he told her.

Ashla waited patiently knowing this was a lot to think over. Hearing his answer she bowed respectfully. " Thank you very much. I will see you in the morning than Master Starchaser. If you excuse me am going to go mediate " feeling it was needed for once to recenter herself. She went off to find a place to mediate.
