Discussions with Duncan
Gadeon, heading find Duncan in the evening heads to his quarters, Ringing the chime there, and waiting Palatine by the door for him to answer.  he is clothed in the loose light tan robes he is often found meditating in during both the evening and morning.  Bot sets of arms ar crossed behind his back as he makes an effort to stand up to his full height.  A common thing when he goes to doors for friendly visits.  Not that it really helps, people almost always end up looking several feet over his head.

RE: Discussions with Duncan
Duncan had spent the last few hours playing his flute along with some other music, trying to lose himself in the Force. To gain insight from the deep connection he had with it. When he heard the door chime he stopped playing his flute and stood up and made his way to the door without stoping the recording that was playing. The cold metal of the floor didn't bother him as he unlocked the door and watched it open. "Ah Gadeon, what can I do for you?" he asked as he gestured, using the hand with the flute, for his companion to enter.

(OOC: Duncan is listening to this. https://youtu.be/S8mO82A8zuc )

RE: Discussions with Duncan
Gadeon tilted his head and listened to the music for a couple seconds, heading into the room a few steps before turning to face Duncan. "I came her to have a conversation about what you said earlier, about starting a new order. I, well, you always struck me as one to move along the straight path, one that was loyal to that which you belonged, the republic, the order. You also struck me as one who was loyal to his personal beliefs and personal values. I am no great judge of character, like Unna. My recent departure has shown me a little bit about myself, and helped me to learn how change in the world around them gets people to question both their loyalties, and their beliefs. So I would like to ask how serious were you when you spoke of starting a new order?"

RE: Discussions with Duncan
Duncan sighed "That has been much on my mind these last few hours. Even more so then in the last year. " he said as he turned towards one of the simple seats in his room. His room was sparsely decorated, it was very much the room of what one would describe as belonging by a textbook Jedi. "I'm not sure if a new order is necessary, I still think the current one could be reformed." he admited as he took a seat and crossed his legs. "But I've been learning some things recently and the more I learn or the more I'm told it makes me doubt that the Order can be saved."

RE: Discussions with Duncan
"My Master went to the order on Courescant and tried just that, tried to reform the Jedi. She was killed for it. The Council, at least part of it, knows that she was murdered, and has done nothing about it. Killed for trying to reform the order. Your master was there that day, and well. I have wondered about trying to pick up where she left off, but look at Olivan, look at what happened there. Tell me that order can be mended, tell me that those sides will come together. This war is pulling the Galaxy apart. Some part of you sensed that, and it is why you made the comment you did. If you believe that it can be saved, I will stand beside you, help as I may, but if you believe it is beyond saving, look at the Church of heaven. A new order could be just what is needed in the outer rim to give those without hope an alternative." Gadeon's face was disciplined, he had always excelled at control, but he made no mask of the fact that as he spoke of his master he was working hard to control his feelings.

RE: Discussions with Duncan
"Even if such a thing as creating a new order was possible. Where would we even begin?" Duncan asked.  Even he wasn't sure if he was actually searching for an answer to that of it was just rhetorical. "Remember how I told you that Auro and I attended a meeting where we were told that Council was about to send the former Prince along with some star destroyers in order to take back their planet from Graffe and Frjia?" Duncan asked and waited a few moments before continuing. "What I didn't tell you is that some members on the Grand Council wanted to assinate her and were going to send Hunters to deal with his Lieutenants. The only thing that stopped it was the Council couldn't agree on it. Well it seems that either one or all of those that wanted the more agressive stance have given the Hunters orders to do what the whole Council refused to do." Duncan explained.

RE: Discussions with Duncan
"I do not know, but I know that if that is what you seek to do there are those that do know what it is to build something lasting. You speak with them, and listen to them, you listen to the force and let it grow. I am not a business man, or a leader of great organizations, but I do know that as they are I cannot stand by the Jedi. Take this example you have given me. It is in the shadows. If it is not the will of the council then contact them, have them recalled from their mission by the council. Trace it back from them to find who it is that ordered them sent in the first place. Such matters are handled in this manner, even I know this. It should not be hard to find the break, the place where one says they learned of it from above and the group above denies having sent them. Too much is being handled in the shadows. This war is rising from the shadows. Let it all in the light and from there see what comes. The more things heat up the more in the shadows things move, it has only made matters worse. I take it that you heard of this and were sent to either preform the deed or prevent it?"

RE: Discussions with Duncan
Duncan nodded. "Master Dooku wants me to stop them from plunging us into an even bigger conflict then what happened on Olivan. He says he needs time to figure out who it was that activated the Hunters to do this." Duncan told him.

RE: Discussions with Duncan
"They need to be stopped by the council. That is what needs to happen, then an investigation launched into why things were set into motion in the manner they were. This can't stay in the shadows. If they try and fail it will be exactly what he needs to prove how corrupt the order is, how little they wish to help one that simply has been trying to help them. Never mind the moral implications of ordered assassinations. I take it he gave you some way of contacting them?" Gadeon's four hands were starting clenched into fists as he spoke his anger starting to rise as he spoke. He took a deep calming breath and suppressed it with the practice of having done it a hundred times. "This, this is why I left. The order, I am not sure I belong in the order any more. I know this order had no place for me as it is, corrupt all the way up to the grand council. Every last one of them stood by and kept hidden that my master and leader of the reform movement was murdered, all of them kept it cloaked in the shadows. Maybe they had their reasons, but Graff is the result of that, now they try the same tactics again, and again those that claim to be opposed to such keep it in the shadows. The shadows are where the dark side thrives, not us."

RE: Discussions with Duncan
Duncan handed Gadeon the data pad with all the information that he had been provided. "So the question becomes how do we stop not just the Hunters, but also the Council from keeping this in the Shadows?" Duncan asked. "I can't let those misguided fools plunge us into a full scale galactic war."
