Zeltron of a feather ___ together

Ni had just finished speaking with the tenth batch of politicians for the day and she was beat. She realized that her pitch had become a little easier to make after reciting it for--what would this be?--the 70th time, but it wasn't any less draining. After resting in a bathroom stall for a moment and grumbling, reflecting on her life choices, she suddenly remembered that she had one last stop to make. The Zeltron quickly exited the stall, primped herself in the mirror, and walked toward the Zeltron's base of operation.  It was late in the day, and Ni understood that the politicians usually departed for their homes around this time. However, she was determined to not let this night go to waste. She fortuitously intercepted the group of Zeltros delegates right as they were leaving their office. 

"Hi!!" the Zeltron exclaimed with a wave, skipping alongside them and offering her brightest smile, despite her inner exhaustion, "I'm not sure if you remember or know of me. My name is D'Magren!"

The Zeltrons delegation were dressed in wildly colorful and revealing attire. Their wildly designed bikinis consisted of shockingly bright shades of neon colors that were skin tight. As Ni walked up to them they each smiled broadly as they recognized her.

Two of the delegation, a male and female rushed forward and gave Ni a big twin hug. The older senior delegate gave her a long nod, "Nienna D'Magren, of course we know who you are. We have heard of your crusade," He gave her a respectful bow, "I am Bahb" He motioned to the male next to her, "This is Jahn." Then to the female, "That is Lyshaa"

The Lyshaa, who was standing next to Ni spoke, "Such a drab waste of your time," she softly said running her hand through Ni's hair. "We could think of such more enjoyable uses of your time."

Jahn smiled and nodded, "Yes," he said taking her by the hand. "As can we all."

Ni returned the hug and bow heartily and felt an immediate sense of relief wash over her. She realized how she had underestimated the value of being among those that shared her culture and ethos. It was comforting.

"Wonderful to meet all of you!" Replied Ni jovially, allowing the group to touch her and pull her where they pleased. With her free hand she stroked Lyshaa's cheek and smiled flirtatiously. "By crusade you mean you've heard of my plea among the Senate? I'm glad! That means I won't have to repeat myself all over again."

The Zeltron giggled and squeezed Jahn's hand, turning to look into his eyes. "Surely you see that what Zeltros is doing to the clone's is not only wrong, but against basic Zeltron principles and ideology."

Bahb nodded, "we have heard of that you are seeking ultimately. Originally we were going to support the measure but sadly the measure took a turn that we couldn't support."

Lyshaa noted the general approval and moved closer to No. "Zeltros already has some of the most liberal laws that protect clones. After all, they make up a large market share of our labor."

"Zeltros even has laws to afford a clone the ability to work for their freedom. And freed clones can in turn enter in to a new contract for their services," explained John.

Barb interjected, "your proposal is actually a bit behind our current laws. But it is the section that restricts how clones are used that it is just one reason that had prevented our support of the measure. It would be as if one buys a protocol droid and not being allowed to use it in that intended role."

[Gar]

"Laws on clone rights aren't going to be perfect, but it was the only compromise available. Ultimately, clone emancipation is the only true moral solution," explained Ni, running her fingers idly along Lyshaa's arm, "Clones aren't droids. They have a mind of their own. Even if they were designed for a purpose, we must also factor in their feelings and wishes. Forcing experiences onto other beings is just not nice." The Zeltron looked up at Bahb curiously. "The Zeltron lifestyle revolves around freedom and exploration. Clones deserve the same freedom of choice, regardless of genetic predisposition. Don't you agree?"

Bahb tilted his head, "we are a very long way from speaking about emancipation." He smiled softly, "what is moral has yet to be decided upon by a council convened on homeworld."

He paused as the other two continued to make their acquaintances with Ni. Finally he spoke up once more. "We are moved by your passion. And will gladly lend our voice yours, should this one clause be dropped from the bill."

Jahn moved in close to Ni, "that, despite our pledge to never support anything that the Chancellor put forward."

Ni soaked up the pleasant attention. The soft touches were appreciated, though she was surprised to find that it did not stir anything within her. She found this curious, as she had never had a problem getting heated up before and these delegates were very attractive. The Zeltron pushed past her lack of feelings and maintained her carefree, flirtatious exterior.

"Pledge?" Asked Ni, turning to Jahn, "I'm not familiar with this pledge."

Bahb nodded and smiled, "when the Chancellor took power, we decided that resistance her at all points."

Both Lyshaa and Jahn laughed, "Before, life here in the Senate used to be so drab and boring."

Bahb joined the laughter, "simply watching her get anger when we unit against her."

Lyshaa kissed Ni's ears, "we may be few in numbers, but when we unit our allies against her. Her agenda fails."

"It is so exciting," added Jahn.

Ni giggled when she felt Lyshaa's lips on her ears. She followed suit by briefly nuzzling and kissing the young Zeltron's neck. It was so easy to go through the motions.

"I was a little curious of why you'd choose this kind of life, I can barely withstand all the meetings and paperwork," commented Ni with a smile, "but is that really the only reason you oppose her? To have a laugh, make things interesting?"
